Hi! So this is a multi chapter story that popped into my head one day and I said "Oh that would be a good fanfic" so I started writing and it took off from there.
Now I know I said I wasn't going to post any other multi-chaps until my other one was finished, but I really lost motivation and ideas for that one. I will still be posting chapters, just this story might be more frequent.
In this story we have some OCs of mine inspired (ish) by some of my friends, and I'll list them now.
Sammy Burlesk
Josie Plumber
Allison Cooper
Lizzie Anderson
Mandy Child
I hope you enjoy the first chapter, and I will hopefully have other chapters out soon!
"for the last time, Josie I'm not going!" Said a straight A Junior in college girl named, Sammy Burlesk. She sat at her desk on a Saturday, with a pile of homework in front of her. "Do you see how much homework I have?! And it's all due by Monday. Monday! I do not have time to go to a stupid concert on a Saturday night!"
Josie Plumber, Sammy's best friend and roommate, sat on her bed, still in her pajamas. "Come on Sam! it'll be fun! put your homework away for a few hours and come see Jack and the Newsies with us one time!" she held up her pointed finger to indicate the number one.
Sammy sighed exasperatedly. "I'm not going! You know I dont like concerts and crowds of people! And I dont even like Jack and the Newsies that much!"
Josie scoffed. "You can't not like Jack and the Newsies, everybody likes Jack and the Newsies!"
"Well I don't!" she turned back around to her homework, intending on sitting there all day, drowning in books and papers.
At that, Josie got up and whirled Sam's chair around to face her. "This is a one time chance! If Ally hadn't have gotten those tickets for her birthday, we might never have gotten to go!" She knelt down in front of her. "Please will you go to this one concert with us, please!" she begged.
Sam looked at her with annoyance. "Why should I go? It's just going to be loud and crowded, and you know I'm claustrophobic, so give me one good reason I should go, one!" She crossed her arms across her chest.
Josie scoffed "I'll give you two reasons. One: Hot boys. Two: Your single!" She ticked them off on her fingers.
"Oh my god." Sammy put her head in her hands and ran them down her face in frustration. "I do not need a boy right now! All boys are good for, is distracting girls from trying to work, and getting in bed with them, and I do not need to have sex, I have way to much to do with trying to become a journalist and an author, so I'm sorry Josie but I'm not going to this concert, or, any concert for that matter." She turned her chair back around and sighed exasperatedly.
Josie sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose before getting a brilliant idea that she knew, Sammy could get on board with. "How about this." Josie spun her chair around again. "You come to the concert with me and the girls, for an hour, an hour is all I'm asking of you. Please come with us, you never get out, and you need a break! You need to get out of this dorm and have fun for one hour! And hey! after that hour is over, you can find a nice quiet place to sit, and you can bring your homework or a book, and sit down and relax, okay? How does that sound?" Josie looks at her, hopefully.
Sammy bit her lip and thought about the offer. "An hour?" She asked
"An hour." Josie nodded. "And you can bring your homework if you want." She gestured to her messy desk, which was usually nice and organized.
Sammy looked back at her desk and at all the work she had to do and sighed. "I-I don't know Jose..." She looked back to Josie, who was doing puppy dog eyes at her.
"Pwease?" She asked in a baby voice. Sammy laughed out loud at this and looked at her. "Oh, what am I going to do with you?" She sighed.
She looked at how pitiful Josie looked and she couldn't help but say yes. "Oh, okay fine." She grumbled.
Josie almost hit her head on the ceiling she jumped so high "Yay!"
Sammy calmed her down before she could disturb the people on the floor below them. "But only for an hour, you hear me? One hour! And then neither you, or any of the other girls can ever, ever, bother me about going to another concert again, got that?"
Josie stopped bouncing and lifted a finger to her brow. "Ma'am yes ma'am!" She said like she was in the army.
Sammy couldn't help but laugh at this, having been gifted with the ability to laugh at every little thing, she even got caught laughing at a funeral one time.
"Ooh we have to get you ready!" Josie looked at her watch. "Alright so if the concert starts at eight, as need to be there by seven to get a good spot..." She started planning out everything, so she started pacing.
Sammy rolled her eyes and chuckled a little bit at this, watching her pace back and forth, until she finally stopped. "Okay, we need to be leaving here by three o'clock sharp, so we can go by the Mall and get you all dressed and ready, since you have nothing to wear tonight."
Sammy put a hand to her heart, and pretended to be offended. "Exuse me, but I have plenty of stuff to wear tonight!" She got up out of her chair and walked over to her small closet, pulling out a black dress with flowers on it, looking like something a grandmother would wear to a funeral. She holds it up to her body. "See? this is fine! We dont have to go to the Mall."
Josie looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Really? You think you are going to wear that to a concert? Pa-lease, me and the girls are taking you shopping and there's nothing you can do to about it. Period." She took the dress from her and threw it in the garbage can.
Sammy gasped. "That was my grandmother's."
"All the more reason it needs to go on the trash. Now right now it is twelve PM and I have lunch with the girls. I know you said you didn't want to come... but...?" She looks at her hopefully.
Sammy shook her head. "Nope, you are dragging me to a concert tonight, which means I need to do as much as I can now, but you go have fun with the girls, and tell them I said hi, yeah?"
Josie nods. "Duh! their not going to believe I convinced you to go tonight, eek! I'm so excited! See you at three girl!" She grabbed her wallet and her phone and started to head out the door, but Sammy stopped her.
"Josie?" Josie stopped In the door way and turned around. "Yeah?"
Sammy giggled. "Clothes!"
Josie looked down at herself, still wearing pajamas. "Oh right!" She came back inside and quickly changed into a cute blue t-shirt and jeans.
"Now I'm going." She blew Sammy a kiss and walked out the door, shutting it behind her
Sammy laughed a little and sat back down in her chair. "Oh my lord Josie, what am I going to do with you." She turned her attention back to her desk, and immediately dove back in to what she was doing, and worked for the next three hours straight.
At exactly two-fifty PM, Sammy's phone rang on her desk beside her. She stopped what she was doing to see who called her, and groaned when she realized its Josie.
She answered the phone. "Hey Jose, what's up?"
"You know whats up girl! look at the time! it's almost three, and me and the girls are downstairs in the common area!"
She grimaced when she realized why Josie's calling her. "Why are you guys waiting for me, and what's at three?" She pretended to forget about the concert.
"C'mon Sam, you cant trick me like that, I know you all too well. Get your ass down here now!!"
Sammy had to pull the phone away from her ear to save herself from going deaf. "Ugh, fine, I'll be there in ten." She hung up the phone before Josie could say anything else, and leaned back in her chair, dreading what the night would bring.
After a few minutes, she got up reluctantly and started packing up her homework, clearing off her desk in the process.
Whe Sammy was done with that, she pulled out the cutest thing she could find in her closet, which was a pair of jeans, that probably needed to go in the trash, and her favorite sweater.
She grabbed her backpack and her phone off her desk and started heading out the door, before turning around cause she forgot her wallet. She looked everywhere for her wallet, but couldn't seem to find it. She shrugged it off and headed downstairs to the commons, where Josie and the other girls were already waiting.
Sammy didn't even see them before she heard them. Three squeals at the same time. That would be Lizzie Anderson, Mandy Child, and Allison Cooper.
The three girls ran up to her and almost knocked her over in a group hug.
Sammy held her breath and braced herself for the impact. "Girls! Personal space!" She giggled
They pulled back, grinning. "Sorry! We're just so excited you agreed to come with us tonight! Even if it is just for an hour." Mandy said, with a huge smile on her face.
Mandy was always excited about everything, and could barely control it. She's also very optimistic and encouraging, hence why she's the best cheerleader in her group.
Sammy waved her off. "Yeah, yeah. I'm just going so you guys will never bug me about it again."
Josie came up to the group of girls. "We should go now, so we have plenty of time at the Mall."
"Oh loosen up!" Ally nudged Josie with her shoudler.
Ally was the goofball. Always making jokes and fooling around alot, even in the bed. Sammy swore Ally had a boy over every night, whether it was the same guy or not. She was the "hookup queen" the students in school called her.
Josie laughed and nudged back. "I'm just trying to give us enough time."
Ally laughed. "You're right though, we should go."
Lizzie, who had been listening to this conversation, nodded in agreement. "C'mon Sam, we are going to make you look fabulous!"
Lizzie was the fashionista of the group. She always dressed the best, and helped everyone else get ready for any event they might need, she's always to go to girl for party planning, or outfit advice.
Sammy sighed. "Fine, let's get this over with."
The three girls squealed again and Josie just giggled at them.
Josie was the mom friend of the group. She always had anything they may ever need in her bag, which was quite small, and she always made sure they were on time for things. She has a perfect schedule and she's never late for any of her classes, but that doesn't mean she has straight A's.
Sammy rolled her eyes and giggled. "Let's go!"
All the girls nodded and headed out of the building, dragging Sammy with them.
They pulled up to the Mall and Sammy felt a pit in her stomach. She hated dressing up and putting makeup all over her face. It made her feel dirty all the time.
All five girls, piled out of Ally's car and headed into the Mall. As always, the Mall was jam packed with people, walking around aimlessly, just window shopping. Usually that's what the girls would do too, but this time, they had a plan.
Lizzie stopped the girls once they got inside. "Okay, listen up! We have three hours to get Sam prepped and ready for this concert. We know that she needs an outfit, her hair done, and her makeup done." Lizzie likes to be in control of things, and to be honest, she's kind of scary when she's in work mode.
Sammy raised her hand a little. "What about you guys? You need all that stuff don't you?"
Ally put a hand on her shoulder. "Babe, we have everything we need in the car. And besides, it's your first concert! We want to make this as special as we can for you. Now I know you don't like getting dressed up and pretty..."
"Hey!" Sammy nudged her shoulder.
Ally laughed. "We just want you to make a good first impression on these people."
The other girls nodded. "Okay!" Lizzie took control again. "Let's go! First we'll look for an outfit."
The girls pushed Sammy toward the first clothing store they saw, and spent twenty minutes looking for something, before deciding that store wasn't it.
They tried a few more stores before finally finding the perfect outfit. It was a red, off the shoulder crop top, with torn bluejeans, and black booties.
Sammy looked at herself in the changing room mirror, the girls outside of it waiting for her. "Come on Sam! hurry up!" Lizzie called.
Sammy took a shaky breath and turned toward the door of the room. "I don't know guys, I don't think this is it." She bites her lip.
"You'll look fine, Sam!" Mandy said.
"Come on out!" Ally called
Sammy took another deep breath and stepped out of the dressing room and into the eyes of her friends.
The girls gasped as she stepped out. She looked like an actual teenage girl that's going to a concert.
"Oh my god." Ally whispered
"Yeah, I know it sucks. Okay back to trying on other things." She turned around but Josie stopped her.
"Woah woah woah, get your ass back over here, you look great!"
Sammy slowly turned back around with her arm wrapped around her stomach protectively. "Really?"
"Yes!" Mandy exclaimed. "You look amazing! You know, you could get plenty of boys that way." She wiggled her eyebrows.
The girls laughed but Sammy just groaned. They're always making fun of her still being a virgin, but she just doesn't want boys to distract her from her goals.
"No but seriously," Lizzie cut them off. "You look fabulously hot and sexy, which was exactly what we were going for, and we haven't even done your hair or makeup yet!"
Sammy just groaned again at the thought of having to put makeup on. "I don't like having my belly exposed like this." She hugged herself tighter.
Lizzie rolled her eyes. "You'll be fine, now come on, we only have..." She checked her watch. "Two hours before we have leave." Lizzie pushes her back towards the dressing room to get changed.
Sammy changed out of the outfit and pulled her street clothes back on. They checked out and headed to Sephora, the biggest, most expensive, and most popular, makeup store, probably in the world.
As they walked up to the makeup store, Sammy suddenly had to pee. "Hey, girls? I have to use the restroom, okay? I'll be right back." She hands the bag of clothes to Josie and turns to walk toward the nearest bathroom, which was down the way a little.
"Okay! We'll be waiting outside Sephora for you okay?" Josie called after her.
Sammy gave her a thumbs up, and walked away.
She got about three-fourths of the way there, when someone tapped her shoudler. She turned around to see who dare interrupt her bathroom break, and saw a good looking young man, about her age, standing in front of her.
"Hi, um, I think you dropped this."
