Bucky Barnes - Sam Uley
Prompt: Human
Months.
That's what it felt like to him. Nut actually it had only been a couple of weeks since getting taken by Hydra. Being alone wasn't anything new for the black haired 24 year old as he mostly kept to himself. His wolf on the other hand bothered by the lack of sound and being locked in small underground room.
However they were both aware that Hydra was on high alert when it came too dealing with him. The agents who had taken Sam from his home, had underestimated his fighting capabilities and they had ended up with serious injuries. Years of fighting alongside one of the youngest Majors from the American Civil War, Jasper Whitlock, had made him into one of the best fighters in the La Push Pack.
"You're gaining a new room mate Uley."
That had been the only sentence spoken to him since being brought to this room. Dark eyes with a preternatural wolfish yellow encircling his irises, simply blinked in response. But if Hydra were waiting for a reaction, they would be waiting for a long time.
Sam Uley had always been a stoic and quiet type of person, due to growing up without anyone but his mother. The only child of a single mother in the La Push Indian Reservation, he had spent a lot of his childhood helping to keep the bills paid and their home. At the age of 20, Sam had lost nearly everything after phasing into a wolf and his life changed forever.
Now years later, the 6ft2 shifter wouldn't change anything about that year with the exception of one thing. The pain he had caused his former girlfriend, Leah Clearwater.
After a few minutes, sharp hearing heard the sound of footsteps moving towards his 'room'. His inner wolf twitched as the familiar scent of metal hit his sense of smell, so it was to now surprise that barely a moment later, the door to the room opened.
Unlike most of his former Pack members, Sam was more aware of the dangers that came from those who were purely human due to his work. But there was one particular person that even the Volturi were wary of.
A former American WW2 veteran. Known to be dead.
Or so people thought.
James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes.
Aka the Winter Soldier.
Although Sam had never seen any pictures of Sergeant James Barnes, he did however recognise the brown haired man who entered the room. But as he studied the new arrival, his wolf had realised that something about the older man was seriously wrong.
Years of having to be in touch with both his own emotions and those of his Pack members. There wasn't any need for speaking since he wasn't much of a talker anyway and given by the silence, neither was his companion. With his wolf remaining on guard, Sam curled up and dozed off for a bit.
As the former La Push Alpha started to resurface from sleep, it was obvious that something had altered. His situational awareness had grown since turning into one of the Protectors of legend. In fact he had seen and been through so much, that he didn't think anything else could shock or surprise him now.
Dark eyes blinked as he pulled himself up into a sitting position and a too big jacket fell onto his legs. However no-one had entered the room as he slept and the only other person there was... "Thank-you." It was now obvious by both the metallic scent coming from the jacket and that it didn't fit him.
The wolf-shifters from the La Push Reservation always ran warmer than a normal human being. Running at a constant 108 Fahrenheit degrees, being underground in that cell was a wrecking havoc on even his temperature.
From the moment Sam had woken up, he hadn't looked at the Winter Soldier and his wolf never bothered to warning him about the man moving closer. So when he did eventually glance up from the jacket, his surprise at meeting glacial blue eyes was more mental than physical. But his wold simply snorted in response to his surprise.
Hearing the so called 'whispering' conversation going on outside between the two guards, Sam was certain that the 'Soldier never interacted with anyone unless ordered to by his 'handler'.
