Say Yes

Olivia was in the kitchen making Rice Krispy Treats with Madeleine and Tammie. Alex is in the livingroom on her laptop trying to get some last minute work done, so she can devote the rest of the weekend to Olivia and the girls.

"Mommy, can we make brownies too" asked Madeleine.

"We'll do the brownies next time, okay." Olivia tells her daughter.

"Ok" Madeleine replied.

"Jamie's birthday party tomorrow" Tammie said.

"I know sweetheart" Olivia says. "We're going to Toys 'R' Us today to find her a gift."

"Good"

Olivia walks into the livingroom and takes a seat beside her wife. Alex could see she was hiding something behind her back.

"Ok, what are you hiding" Alex says to Olivia.

Olivia moves the single red rose from behind her back and hands it to Alex.

"Happy Anniversary baby" Olivia says as she kisses Alex.

"Liv, I think you're losing your memory" Alex says. "Our Anniversary is in July not April."

"I know, silly" Olivia says to her wife. "Today is the day you proposed to me; remember I thought it was a April fool's joke."

"Oh Liv…" Alex says before being cut off by Madeleine.

"Mommy here" she said, as she hands Alex a Rice Krispy Treat. "I did it all by myself."

"Thanks sweetheart" Alex said as she took the krispy treat from Madeleine and placed it in her mouth. "It's delicious"

"Thanks mommy"

"I helped too" Tammie screamed from the kitchen.

"Come on girls, Alex needs to finish her work." Olivia said.

Olivia and Madeleine walked back into the kitchen. While they cleaned up, Alex started to daydream about the day she proposed to Olivia.

The daydream

"Hi mom" Alex says as she entered the livingroom of her parents home.

"Alex, it's good to see you. What's brings your by so early in the day." Maybelle said to her daughter.

"Mom, I'd like to take you out to lunch. I invited Gracie and Unique as well."

"Well, don't I feel special. What's the occasion?" her mother asked.

"Nothing, I just need to talk to three of you about something."

"Oh, really. Would this something have anything to do with Olivia."

"Yes ma'am" Alex replied.

"Are you two breaking up?"

"No mother, we're not"

"Good"

Gracie and Unique walk in the house together and gives their mother a kiss on the cheek.

"Since I have all my daughters in the same room at the same time, I will cook us something for us instead of going out and spending money."

"I don't mind going out mom, it's Alex money we're going to be spending" Gracie says as she and Unique laughed together.

Maybelle walks into the kitchen and Alex, Gracie and Unique follows her.

"Mom, can I help" Alex says.

"Grab a pot from under the cabinet" her mother says. "Unique, get the onions and bell peppers for me, will you?"

"Yes ma'am" Unique says.

As the women helped their mother prepare lunch, Alex tells why she invited them out to lunch.

"I want you all to know why I invited you all out to lunch" Alex says.

"What? You and Olivia had a fight" Gracie says sarcastically.

"No"

"Well, what is it Lex?" Unique says impatiently.

The sisters walk over and sit down at the table where Alex is seated.

"Lex, are you going to tell us?" her mother said.

"I…I'm going to ask Olivia to marry me tonight and I want you all to be there" Alex says.

"You're what?" Gracie says surprised.

"She's going to prose to Olivia, silly" Unique says to Gracie. Unique turns to face Alex, she gets up and gives her sister a big hug. "Olivia is a lucky woman" she whispers in Alex's ear.

"Thanks Unique" Alex says as she breaks the hug.

Alex's mother takes a seat at the table next to her daughter.

"Alex, darling, are you sure about this?" her mother says with a concerned look. "Marriage is a big step. Have you thought this though?"

"Yes, I thought this though. I love Olivia and I want to spend the rest of my life with her" Alex says to her mother and sisters.

"Does she make you happy, baby?"

"Yes, she does" Alex says. "Mom, she's my soulmate."

"Well, if you're happy then I'm happy for you" her mother said.

"Ok, let me see the ring" Gracie says.

"I haven't gotten one yet."

"Lex, you got to get the ring"

"Well…I was kind of hoping you two could help me shop for one today." Alex says.

"Ok, lets eat lunch and then we'll head to the jewelry stores"

Alex, her mom and sisters ate lunch and talked about where should she propose to Olivia. They all agreed to invite family and close friends over to Alex's parents' house for a family dinner and she would propose infront of family and friends. Alex left with her sisters to shop for Olivia's ring, while her mother went to the grocery store to shop for dinner.

The women walk into Zales…

"Lex, I like this one" Unique says.

"My goodness Unique, you have bad taste. The ring is too small and it's only two hundred dollars" Gracie says as frowned.

Gracie and Alex continue to look around the store.

"Oh my God, here it is" Gracie says. "Lex, come here. This is a perfect diamond for Olivia."

Alex and Unique walks over to the counter the ring is inside.

"Yeah, that is a beauty." Alex says. "I wonder how much is it?"

"It costs ten thousand dollars" Unique says.

"Ten Thousand Dollars" Alex says with a surprised look on her face.

"Lex, it is a beautiful ring" Unique says.

"Yeah, I like it" Alex says. "I'm sure Olivia would like it too"

Alex calls the salesman to the counter and asks him to open the counter so she can take a close look at it.

"Damn, it's a lot more beautiful than we thought" Gracie says. "It's worth the money you're going to spend on it."

Alex asked the salesman what size the ring was. The salesman took the ring and put it on the metal pole.

"Ma'am it's a size eight" he said.

"Perfect Olivia's ring finger is an eight" Alex says.

"See, it's like this ring was meant for Olivia." Gracie says.

"Ok, I'd like to purchased this ring" Alex tells the salesman.

"Will that be cash, check or charge ma'am?"

"Check" Alex tells him. Alex writes a check for ten thousand dollars.

"Wait one minute ma'am." the salesman said as he ran the check. "Ok, you're good. Would you like the box gift wrapped?"

"Yes, she would" Gracie says,, before Alex could get a word out.

The women left Zales and headed back over to their parents home. Alex showed her mother the ring.

"It's a beautiful ring Alex, Olivia going to love it" Maybell said.

"She better, hell it cost an arm and a leg" Unique says.

"Ladies, ladies, ladies" Gabble says. "Love doesn't have a price on it. The bigger the ring, the better loving will be"

"Where did you hear that crap from" Alex asks Gracie.

"Lex isn't Olivia working on a case. What if she has to work late tonight?" Unique says.

"The Captain is going to release Olivia, Elliot, Fin and Munch around five o'clock today. This will give everyone enough time to go home, shower, change and be here at 7:30pm."

Everyone left the family house and went home. It was now 7:00pm and everyone was at the family house except Alex and Olivia. Maybell had a best china laid out in the formal diningroom. Everyone was in the livingroom having drinks and chatting with one another. Alex and Olivia walks in the house. Olivia knew it was a family dinner but she was surprised to see Elliot, Fin and Munch.

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" Olivia says as she walked over to her fellow detectives.

"Alex invited us" Munch said. "I could use a nice home cooked meal."

"I wonder why Lex didn't tell me you guys were going to be here" Olivia says.

"Maybe it slipped her mind." Elliot says.

"Come on everyone it's time to eat" Maybell said.

Everyone goes into the formal diningroom.

"Wow" Olivia says to Alex as she entered the diningroom. "Maybell did a great job putting this together."

"Yeah, she sure did" Alex responds.

"Olivia, you can have my seat" Alex's father said.

"No Reggie…this is your home. I'll seat next to Lex" Olivia says.

"I'm not going to take No for an answer. Please, have my seat" he says.

Olivia takes a seat at the head of the table and Alex takes a seat to her left.

"The last time your dad gave up his seat R.J. proposed to his wife" Olivia said as she whispered in Alex's ear. "Lex, have you noticed the table has all my favorites on it."

"Yeah, that's weird" Alex says as she tries so hard to throw Olivia off.

Everyone eats dinner and conversed as they drink wine. Maybell got up from the table, went into the kitchen and bought out five bottles of Champagne and glasses. She poured everyone a glass of Champagne as Reggie started tapping his glass with his fork.

"May I have everyone's attention, please" He said. Everyone turned their attention to Reggie. "My daughter, Alex has an announcement to make. Alex the floor is yours."

Alex stood up and turned to face Olivia.

"Olivia" Alex said with confidence in her voice. "I love you very much. I fell in love with you the first time we kissed. You have so much joy and love into my life. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me. I couldn't image a life without you in it. Your face is the last thing I want to see at night and the first thing I want to see in the morning."

Alex takes Olivia's left hand and gets down on one knee.

"Olivia, I want to be the one, who catches you when you stumble, protects you when you're scared, and hold you when you're feeling down. I love you so much; you are the perfect woman for me. Olivia, you've had my heart from the beginning. Now, I'd like for you to become a part of my soul. Olivia Benson, Will You Marry Me?"

Alex and the rest of her family and friends await Olivia's answer.

Olivia couldn't believe her dreams were coming true. The woman she loved and wanted to spend the rest of life with, was on one knee and asking her hand in marriage. Tears flowed down Olivia face as she let out a loud "YES…YES I WILL MARRY YOU."

Alex exhales and stands to her feet. Olivia stands up and kisses Alex passionately infront of the whole family.

"You owe me fifty bucks" Munch says to Fin. "I told you she was going to cry"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah…here you go" Fin said, as he handed Munch a fifty dollar bill.

"Everyone please raise your glasses" Reggie said. "To the happy couple"

"To the happy couple" everyone said as they toasted the newly engaged couple.

Flash Forward

"Lex…Lex…Honey, did you hear me?" Olivia says.

"Oh…I was day dreaming"

"About"

"The proposal" Alex says. "The one of the happiest days of my life"

"One of the happiest days" Olivia said. "So, what's THE Happiest Day of your life?"

Alex turned to face Olivia and says, "The day I became Mrs. Olivia Benson" before cupping Olivia's face and kissing her.

Alex's moved her right hand down and under Olivia's shirt. She begins massaging Olivia's left breast as Olivia's heavy breathing become moans.

"Wait…Wait Lex, the girls are upstairs" Olivia says. "I'll call mom and ask her if she could watch the girls for a few hours while we celebrate our Anniversary."

"Olivia" Alex says.

"Yes dear"

"I love you"

"I love you more" Olivia says as she winked her eye at Alex before calling Maybell.
