Hi everyone!
To those who have read Shattered Past will know I have been planning to write this one-shot for a while. If you haven't, well this won't make much sense.
Anyways, let's get onwards with the story, shall we?
The rusty morning sun rays shone through the tinted window onto where a certain orange-haired teenager sleeping on his desk with a pile of scatteted papers laying underneath him. He groaned burying his head in his arms, hiding away from sunshine that dared to disturb his sleep.
The sunlight kept crawling forward in his room, eventually coming upon his bed where a specific Lion Cub Pokemon laid curled up on the pillow. Unlike its trainer, the little fire type awoke to nature's alarm, its black eyes fluttering open. The Litleo yawned, stretching out and its small nose twitching as it blinked the last of sleep away. With a final shake of its body, the Pokemon was fully awake and taking in the surroundings of the room.
When its gaze fell on its dozing trainer, it rolled its eyes and lept off the bed, already knowing how to wake the teenager up. Walking its way to the desk, the Pokemon looked up before back tracking a few steps and crouching low, getting ready for a running jump. The Litleo waited for a few seconds before it dashed forward and sprung towards the desk. It didn't quite make it though, having to claw the rest of the way up.
The Pokemon breathed a sigh of relief when it was fully on top of the desk before its attention turned to the orange-haired teenager that was still blissfully asleep. Trotting its way over, the the fire type began nudging its trainer's face trying to get him awake. This often work, well most of the time.
Instead of waking up like usual, the teenager mumbled in a sleepy daze burying his head deeper away from Litleo's prodding, "Just five more minutes please." The Pokemon's jaw dropped before it snorted a small puff of smoke out of its nostrils, it seemed like that didn't work today.
Now time for Plan B.
The Lion Cub Pokemon dug its nose through its trainer's messy orange hair, looking for something. It grinned as it found what it was looking for. With its teeth, the little fire type latched onto it and began pulling backwards. Once the right distance, the Litleo smirked while its eyes gleamed. With a snap open of its jaws, the Litleo watched as its prize shot back to its trainer.
"Ow!" A pained yelp escaped the teenager, now fully woken up to his ear being used like a slingshot. Rubbing his throbbing ear, the orange-haired trainer glared daggers down at the Litleo sitting on his desk, the former looking very innocent, "Litleo! I told you not to wake me up like that! Wasn't there a nicer way for you to do it?!"
'Really? Your joking, right?' The Pokemon just gave his trainer an deadpan stare, having to resist the urge to shot an Ember at the teenager's face for that comment.
"Lysandre? Are you awake yet?" muffled Professor Oak's voice echoed through room. Looking towards the closed door, the teenager huffed, still glaring at the fire type on his desk, "Yeah, you could say I had a rude awakening."
The older man chuckled, already knowing what that meant, "Well you better get ready. Delia is waiting downstairs here for you." Lysandre immediately perked, with whatever tiredness still lingered vanishing in a instant, "Delia? She is here?"
"Yes, she just arrived," replied Professor Oak. A large smile spread across Lysandre's face, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement swell in his chest, "Tell her I will be down in a few minutes. I just need to get something for her."
"Alright don't take too long though," With that Professor Oak went quiet and Lysandre assumed that the brunette-haired man had left. The teenager looked back to his desk, his eyes scanning over it, searching for something. Relief washed over him as he found what he was looking for, a long black box with decorative gold art imprinted on it.
Opening it, Lysandre stared at the object inside, smiling at it. The teenager had been dating Delia for a while and wanted to give her something special, he only hoped that she liked it. He stared at it for a while longer before quickly closed it with a 'pop' and putting it in his pocket. He turned on his heels to get ready for the day, no use of worrying over it. Only one way to find out if she likes it or not.
*time skip*"Delia I am re-whoa," as Lysandre made his way down the stairs, he stopped, his breath was stolen away from the sight infront of him.
At the bottom of the staircase, stood Delia, wearing a beautifully detailed dark blue Floyd dress that fell elegantly up to her knees, the gentle breeze in the lab swayed the fabric side to side, making it an almost hypnotising sight. Her long brown hair flowed over shoulders like rolling waves, tousling into buoyant curls at the end. She had a soft smile adorning her expression while her brown eyes seemed to glow like diamonds in the dull light of the room, with a slight faint blush on her cheeks.
"Well, what do you think?" asked Delia, twirling her dress as she spun around, her dark blue French heels clicking against the ground as she did so, still smiling at her speechless boyfriend.
Snapping out of his stupor, Lysandre managed to choke out, breathless, "Amazing." He couldn't think of anything else to describe her. Only in something so plain and simple as a dress could Delia be so magnificent.
"Thanks," the brown-haired teenager girl smile grew as Lysandre made his way down next to her, giving him a quick kiss on his cheek. The orange-haired teenager smirked, "Only on the cheek?" Delia giggled, about to reply when soft chuckling broke the duo from their conversation.
They turned around to see Professor Oak grinning at them, leaning against the wall, "I believe this calls for a poem! Like two Luvdisc in the endless sea! Lysandre and Delia always to be!"
Cue deep blushes from both the teenagers, earning an laugh from the older man, "Well, you two better get going and enjoy yourselves today." Lysandre smiled and bowed his head forward, grateful towards the older man, "Thanks."
"Don't thank me just yet. Now leave before I chase the both of you out of here," Professor Oak pointed to the door, looking very amused. Lysandre chuckled, while holding his hand out to Delia, "You heard the angry scientist."
She giggled, taking his hand, their fingers intertwining with each other, "Lead the way." Her boyfriend grinned, leading Delia to the doorway, already knowing exactly where he was going to take her today.
*timeskip*"Please tell me where are going Lysandre," begged Delia, getting a little impatient. they had been walking through the Viridian Forest for a couple hours and the sun was already setting, almost completely gone. She wasn't sure where they were going since the orange-haired teenager didn't give her an answer. Just saying, "Its going to be a surprise."
Lysandre chuckled, amused by Delia's impatience, "Just wait a little longer. I promise that we are almost there." In response, his girlfriend groaned, dropping her shoulders in defeat before an idea popped in her head. The brown-haired teen turned to him, giving him the 'irresistible puppy dog eyes' trick and puckered out her lower lip, "Aww pretty please? With sprinkles on top?"
"Nope," Was his smug answer, "Sorry dear but that isn't going to work today." He wasn't about to spoil his surprise that easily, no matter how adorable she managed to look. (Not that she wasn't all the time.)
Seeing she wasn't going to win today, Delia huffed in defeat, "Fine." Lysandre grinned before looking ahead and stopped, still smiling though, "Oh one more thing before we continue." Delia halted in her steps, giving her boyfriend an odd sideways look, now what?
He took out a thin piece of red fabric out from his pocket, "Turn around." Shrugging Delia complied and stood there confused, waiting for something. That was when red suddenly fell over her eyes, "Huh? Hey!" The teenager tried to lift the fabric away from her eyes, wondering what her boyfriend was up to now.
"No peeking," teased Lysandre, seeing what Delia was trying to do as he tied the fabric at the back into a neat knot, "I said this was going to be a surprise and I meant it. Just be a little more patient."
"You don't do things halfway, do you?" asked the teenage girl, smiling as she felt Lysandre guiding her forward, completely trusting him. Delia heard him laugh, "I could say the same thing about you, remember what happened last month at the lab with the cake?"
She gasped, "You promised you wouldn't talk about that!" That just got more laughs from Lysandre, "I know I did. But that was still funny. I never saw you look so embarrassed. Especially whe-"
"Lysandre Fleur-de-lis!" exclaimed Delia, her cheeks bright red, "If you finish that sentence I swear you won't like what happen next!" She felt her boyfriend shuffle behind her, laughs now dying down to nervous chuckles, "Nevermind." She snorted, nodding, good. One thing she doesn't want to talk about what happened that day.
After a while of more walking, Delia could tell they were going slower now and upwards, possibly up a hill. The teenager shivered as an cold icy air nipped away at her, inwardly wishing she had worn her jacket. As if reading her mind, she felt Lysandre drap something over her shoulders, possibly his coat since he was smart enough wear one, "Just a little longer Delia," he whispered in her ear, his warm breath washing over her. She smiled, her grip tightening on the fabric of the coat, "Alright Lysandre."
Eventually, they stopped and Delia felt the fabric around her eyes loosen and Lysandre release her shoulders, "We're here." As the fabric fell away, she gasped in amazement, completely mesmerized by the site infront of her.
It was night with hundreds of stars hung above them, as if strung in the air by invisible strings, stretching for miles across the velvet sky, while ancient and large constellations and galaxies swirled and sparkled, their bright colours shinning in her eyes. They all perfectly melted together in perfect harmony with each other in the presence of the silvery full moon that shone upon them like a large torch, lightening everything around them. It almost seemed magical, unreal.
"This is so amazing," she breathed, not sure what other words to choose. Delia turned to Lysandre, her boyfriend smiling at her, his light blue eyes seemed to lite up with the sky, "I am glad you like it because I have one more thing for you."
He took the black golden box out of while holding it out to her and slowly opened it. Delia gasped once again in surprise, inside of the box lay an heart-shaped Sterling Silver pendant with a large dark blue tear drop-shaped Sapphire in the middle, the stone in the middle gleaming beautifully in the light of the night sky, allowing it to give off an mystical glow, "Oh Lysandre it's perfect!"
Lysandre chuckled taking it out for her, the delicate chain slipping through his fingers as he held it out towards her, "May I?" Delia nodded, smiling turning around, allowing her boyfriend to put the necklace on her. She felt his strong arms brush around her shoulders as he slipped the jewelry around her neck.
When he clipped it on, Delia cradled the precious necklace in her hand as she turned back around to Lysandre, "Thank you so much for everything." He smiled, "For you, anything Delia."
Delia chuckled, staring up at him, her eyes displaying the love she held for him. They slowing began inching closer together and leaning forward to each other, Lysandre gently wrapping his arms around her waist while gazing lovingly into her eyes, feeling like he could lost in them for eternity. His lips brushed inches away from hers as he brought Delia closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck the duo becoming closer, their head budding against each other.
As they finally kissed, Lysandre wanted nothing more than this to last forever, to cherish this with Delia and always remember it. Even if it's small. To him it's more than just one moment under the the starry sky, its just one moment in eternity.
One moment he will never forget.
And that is a wrap of this romantic disaster on wheels. Please do tell me what you thought about it when you review.
