Ah, Wyoming. It's the waste bin of the NAU...along with Prince Edward Island, and Baja California Sur.

Somewhere out here, a naked boy lies. He lies in the embryonic position. He has yet to take his first glimpses of life. One might even say he was born last night.

Around him, herds of bison move. They avoid him. They see him as a human, who they must respect. Their ancestors would see him as their apocalypse...but let's not dwell on the past.

As the psiboy wakes, he smells the bison's manure. At the time, he doesn't know what to think of it.

He opens his eyes...and finally gets his first glimpses of life. He doesn't know where he is. He doesn't know what anything is. It all looks strange to him.

From down a mountain, a bear lumbers. He stops, as his eyes meet the psiboy's.

The psiboy stares, trying to figure him out. The bear looks strange. He examines himself. He doesn't seem to look anything like what he sees...

Bears only eat what's much smaller than they are. And the psiboy doesn't come off as threatening to him. So, he lumbers off, leaving the psiboy in...peace. Alas, the psiboy is confused. He won't find peace anywhere, in anything for a while.

In time, the psiboy discovers he can walk. So he does. As the day passes, the sun dries him off.

There are many mountains in this land. Curious, the psiboy ascends to one of their peaks. Some spots on it seem like a challenge. But somehow, his body always adapts to the hardships.

He's at the summit. He looks down. He looks around. There's no one else up here. It feels secure; he'll give it that. Up here, he lies down, and takes a break.

Subject Tango, as the lab who made him once called him, wants to stay up here. Alas, he has not yet discovered his species's dependence on food and water. Both will demand his hunting soon. But until then, his confusion poses a threat to everything near him...whether he realizes it yet or not.
