Atem woke up with the feeling of something jumping on the bed. He looked to see a little boy with tri-colored hair and emerald eyes just like his mother's. He chuckled as the boy started jumping up and down. He reached up and pulled the boy down.

"Did your mother tell you to wake me up Adom," he asked.

"Maybe," the little boy replied.

Atem chuckled at his five year old son. He heard a giggle coming from the doorway and looked to see his thirteen year old daughter Akil standing in the doorway. She had brown hair like her mother's and violet eyes just like her father's. She walked over and pulled her little brother off their father.

"Okay goof," she said, "let him up."

Adom giggled before running off. Atem smirked as he sat up on the bed. Akil rolled her eyes at her goofy little brother before turning to her father.

"He's nuts," she said.

"He takes after your mother," Atem replied with a smirk.

"Who takes after me," a voice asked.

Atem looked to see his wife Mana standing there leaning against the doorframe smiling at her husband and daughter.

"Your son," said Atem.

"He's still young and has a lot of energy," Mana explained.

"Love, you're thirty-two and still have a lot of energy," Atem replied making Akil giggle.

"Very funny mister, Akil go eat, you got school."

"Yes mom," said Akil before running out of the room.

Atem smirked at his daughter as she left the room. Mana smiled at her children before walking toward her husband. She wrapped her arms around his waist from behind as he was looking through their closet. She started kissing his neck. He chuckled and turned around to face his wife. He leaned down and kissed her lips.

"You can't help yourself, could you love," he asked.

"I can't help it when I have such a sexy husband," she replied, "you're so sexy that I can't help it when I want to kiss you all over."

"You're so naughty love."

"That's because I love you Temmy."

"Sissy," Adom called jumping in his seat.

"Well you quite bouncing in your seat, ya goof."

Adom stopped bouncing in his seat as Akil made him a plate of food that was on the table. She loves her baby brother and found that life with him in her life was eventful. She had known that her mother was full of energy and would make her and her father laugh with her hyper personality and now there was another person around the house with that same energy as her mother. Adom may look like their father but he had their mother's energy.

Akil placed the plate down in front of her little brother. He smiled and started eat after thanking her. Akil nodded before sitting down with her own plate. She knew that her parents would be up stairs for a while doing who knows what. She knew how much they love each other and she and her brother were prove of that. She heard footsteps coming down the stairs. She looked to see her parents coming down.

Adom was jumping up and down again at the sight of his parents. He gets excited very easily when he sees people that he knows.

"Hey goof park it," Akil said.

"Calm down sweetie," said Mana, "we don't want you to hurt yourself."

Atem placed a hand on top of his son's head stopping him from bouncing. Adom looked up at his father smiling. Atem chuckled before he ruffled his son's head.

"You're just like your mother son," he said.

"Temmy," said Mana, "don't tell him that."

"But its true love," Atem replied, "but to me it's adorable."

Mana blushed as she smiled at her husband. He knew how to make her feel special after so many years of marriage. She walked toward him and kissed his lips.

"You're sweet Temmy."

They sat down and had breakfast with their children. Akil got ready for school while Atem got ready for work. Mana was getting Adom ready for preschool.

"Alright," said Atem picking up their son, "let's go you two."

"Have good day you three," said Mana.

She hugged her daughter and kissed her son on the forehead before she and her husband kissed. The three of them left the house with Mana closing the door behind them. She smiled at her family as Atem was putting Adom into his car seat while Akil climbed into the back seat to help her father with her little brother.

I love those three.

Atem dropped off his daughter at school before heading to where his son had preschool. He would drop his children off before heading to the city hall where he worked as the mayor of the city. He pulled up to the school where his son went to. He parked into his usual parking spot. He cut off the engine before opening the car door. Adom was playing with a Kuriboh plush doll that he carried with him everywhere.

Atem walked to the side to get him out of the car. He opened the door and bent down to unbuckle his son. Adom looked over to see a car zooming down the parking lot.

"Daddy, crazy car," he said.

Atem stood up to see the car zooming toward them. He managed to close the car door with both him and his son still in the car. The car stopped into the parking spot not far from their car. Atem growled in annoyance before getting out of the car. A woman that was clearly not from the area was climbing out of the other car with two small children climbing out of the car. They looked to be around his son's age but he didn't see any car seat in the back seat.

The woman was glaring at him and stomped over toward him. Atem had managed to get his son out of the car before he spun around toward the woman.

"What were you doing," the woman hissed, "You know that you shouldn't park there."

"This is a parking spot," Atem replied, "not part of the road and I've noticed that you don't have car seats for your children."

"What I do with my kids are none of your business!"

"It is when you endangered my son by driving like you're on the freeway instead of a school's parking lot!"

The door to the school opened and a teacher stepped out to see the two adults arguing. He paled when he saw the woman. He walked over and called for them to look at him.

"What's going on here," he asked.

"This stupid man is parked in the middle of the parking lot," the woman roared.

"He's not ma'am," said the teacher, "and I've seen everything on security cameras before coming out here. He's fine where he is but you are not. This is the fourth time you've caused trouble with someone and now you're starting trouble with our city mayor."

The woman's face paled as she looked over at Atem as he was checking to see that his son was okay. Adom smiled up at his father as he nodded. Atem nodded before they headed inside. They walked down the hall to Adom's classroom. They reached the classroom and stood in the doorway. Atem knocked on the doorframe to get the teacher's attention. She looked up from her desk and smiled when she saw them. She stood up and walked over to greet them like she did every morning.

"Hello Mayor Muto," said the teacher, "Hi there Adom are you ready to learn?"

"Yes ma'am," Adom replied, "Kuriboh and I are ready to learn."

Atem smiled down at his son before ruffling his hair while he chuckled. The teacher nodded and took him into the classroom. Atem smiled as he watched his son enter the classroom with his favorite plush. He turned and walked off greeting to everyone that called out to him in greeting. He reached the parking lot to see that the woman was gone.

"Hey Akil," a voice called.

Akil turned around to see her three best friends running toward her.

"Hey there guys," she said.

"We're going to the arcade after school, do you want to come?"

"Sorry guys but I'm going to city hall after school to hang out with my dad."

"You spend a lot time with your dad."

"So, what, I love my dad, he's cool."

The bell rang and Akil grabbed her school bag before heading out to the gate of the school. She would hang out with her friends after school or go to city hall to hang out with her father. Akil walked to the bus that she would take to get to city hall. She stood there waiting for the bus. She checked her phone to see what time it was.

The bus pulled up and she climbed on then sat down in a seat in the middle of the bus where she liked to sit so she could watch people that were on the bus. She sat there as the bus drove off heading to the stop that she would get off. She texted her father; letting him know that she was coming to city hall to see him. She would go to city hall after school and hang out in her father's office to do her homework. She liked watching her father work and take charge when needed. She felt safe with him; she felt like no one could hurt her with her father around.

She remembered that her mother had said that she always felt safe with her father. Akil understood what her mother meant; she knew that her father would keep her safe and protect her if he had to. She wondered if she could be like that herself someday. She looked up to see a man with short red hair and dark eyes staring at her. Akil may be in middle school but she looked to be fifteen or seventeen. She hated the fact that she looked older than she really was while her little brother looked like he was two instead of five.

The man was watching her as the bus drove down the road. She looked down at her phone as she got a reply from her father saying that he was going to be in a meeting but his assistant would be waiting for her at the entrance. Akil didn't mind since his assistant was a nice lady and treated her like a niece. Akil saw her as an aunt than her father's assistant. She heard footsteps walking toward her. She looked up to see the man that had been watching her standing there. She figured that he was about seventeen or eighteen.

"Hey there," he said, "were you at one of the stores?"

He must've thought that she was a high school student instead of a middle school student. There were several stores in the area of her school where a lot of high school students would go to hang out after school. She shook her head before she looked back down at her phone.

"How old are you," he asked.

"Thirteen," she replied without looking up.

"I doubt that, you look to be my age."

"Well, I am,"

"Are you just saying that so I'll leave you alone?"

"I am thirteen and could you please leave me alone?"

The man glared at her before snatching the phone from her hands. Akil jumped up to grab it. The man stared at the contact ID on the screen before she took it from him.

"Is that your boyfriend?"

"No my dad, that's why it says daddy."

"You were going to meet him for an early dinner or late lunch?"

Akil walked away to the far side of the bus but he was following behind her. Akil made sure that he didn't see her fear. She tried to act brave like her father. She had seen him handle himself in a scary situation many times. She remembered when she was nine and she went to the book store with her father because there was a book that she wanted to get from her favorite author. Her mother was home with a one year Adom so it was just them.

She had gotten the book and followed her father to the checkout when this scary man stepped out and tried to take the book from her saying that it was for his kid since the book was a children's book. She remembered that she was scared by the man's size but her father was right there between them. The man was bigger than her father but he didn't show any fear. Her father was trying to talk the man down but the man wouldn't listen.

Her father had called to a nearby employee to get security which he did. Akil remembered how she was impressed by how her father handled the situation. She let out a breath as she snapped back to reality. She had been trying to be calm. She told herself that he just thought that she was older than she really was. The bus came to a stop and she quickly dashed out the bus heading for city hall. She heard footsteps behind.

She ran down the sidewalk until she could see city hall just ahead. She reached the stairs flying up them toward the entrance. She stopped halfway up the stairs to catch her breath. She looked to see the man walking up the stairs calm as can be. She felt her heart sink to her stomach at that moment before she heard a voice that she recognized.

"Akil,"

She turned to see her father's assistant coming out of the entrance calling for her. She flew up the remaining steps toward her.

"Ms. Ayako," she called.

The woman had long red hair and dark blue eyes. She stood there watching the man that was following the young girl. Akil reached her as the man went to make a grab for her arm. Ayako walked over and got between them.

"Why are you bothering a thirteen year old girl," she asked.

"She's not thirteen," said the man, "she's my girlfriend and she's seventeen."

"No, I've known that girl since she was in diapers and I know for a fact that her father wouldn't be happy to hear that someone was messing with his daughter."

"You're only saying that so I'll leave her alone, that girl is lying about her age."

"You should leave before I call the police. I think that you might prefer to deal with them still of the mayor since she's his daughter."

The man froze before he turned and ran off. Akil watched as the man ran down the stairs and turned the corner out of sight. Ayako walked toward her and guided her inside.

"Your father is almost finished with his meeting," she said, "I'll drop you off at his office."

#

Atem had finished his meeting and stepped out from the room that he was in to see Ayako standing there. The look on her face told him that something was wrong.

"What now," he asked.

"When I went to meet your daughter outside the entrance some man tried to kidnap her. I've made a report with the chief of police and he said that he'll have someone check the cameras to see if they could identify him."

"Where is she," Atem asked.

Ayako knew that he was worried about his daughter. She gestured to his office. Atem ran into the office to see Akil sitting at the table in the corner where she normally sat to do her homework. She knew that Ayako had told him what happened.

"Are you alright," he asked.

"I'm fine dad," Akil replied.

"Did you get hurt?"

"No, it just scared me a little."

"Tell me what happened."

Akil explained what happened on the bus. Atem pulled her into a hug like he normally did when she was scared or if she got hurt. She wrapped her arms around him and buried her face into his shoulder. She always felt safe in his arms. Her father was the one person that she wanted to be like. She had tried to act like him many times but she wasn't able to pull it off every time. Atem pulled away and had her work on her homework.

He called his wife and explained what happened. Mana was of course worried but Atem told her that the police were on it and that she was safe in his office.

"Thank you for telling me Atem," she said.

"Of course love, you're her mother, you have every right to know."

"Well, I've got Adom from preschool and I'll be right there. Maybe the four of us could go out for dinner."

"That sounds good love."

#

Mana pulled up to city hall with Adom in the backseat. Adom was playing with his Kuriboh plushie in his car seat. Mana smiled at her son watching him from the rearview mirror. Adom was making Kuriboh fly through the air. Mana looked to see Atem and Akil coming out from the building. Adom had noticed them and started bouncing up and down.

"Sissy, daddy," he cheered.

Mana smiled at him as they walked toward the car while Adom was still bouncing in his chair seat. Akil opened the door to the back of the car while Mana rolled her window down to kiss her husband. Adom was excitedly bouncing while smiling at his big sister.

"Hey goof," said Akil, "did you drive your teachers up the wall?"

"Up the wall," Adom cried repeating her comment.

"I'll take my car and meet you at the restaurant,' said Atem.

"Okay, see you there."

They kissed again and Atem walked to his car as she pulled away. Adom had stopped bouncing at this point and tried to look out the back window trying to watch his father going to his car. Mana couldn't stop smiling finding it cute.

"You looking for daddy," she asked.

"Daddy," Adom replied as he saw his father's car pulling out of its parking spot.

"Turn around ya goof," said Akil putting her hand on top of his head and turned it around to the front making Adom giggle before going back to playing with his plush doll.

#

Mana and the kids were in the restaurant already seated at a table while waiting for Atem. Adom was sitting in a high chair while coloring as his mother and sister were talking.

"Your father told me what happened," said Mana, "are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine mom," said Akil.

"Both of you had something interesting happen to you today. Your father and brother almost got hit by some woman that thinks that she doesn't have to follow the rules."

"I bet dad torn her a new one," said Akil.

"If I know your father, he probably wanted to but was more focused on making sure that your brother was okay. He will protect us but he wants to make sure that we're alright first."

"Daddy," Adom cried out bouncing in his seat as he saw his father walking toward them with someone else, "Uncle Yugi!"

The girls looked to see Atem walking toward them while chatting with his twin brother Yugi. Akil jumped up to her feet and ran over to them calling out to her uncle.

"Hey there kiddo," said Yugi hugging his niece.

"Hey there Yugi," said Mana waving to her brother-in-law.

"Hey Mana, how have ya been," said Yugi with a wave.

"Uncle Yugi," Adom cheered.

"Hey there Adom," said Yugi ruffling his nephew's head.

"Where did you find him," Mana asked her husband.

"I ran into him and Anzu on my way in," Atem explained, "apparently they brought their family out for dinner."

"That's right," said Yugi, "we were meeting up with Anzu's parents. They've been super busy and haven't seen the kids in a while so we decided to go out for dinner with them."

"I see," said Mana, "so you decided to say hi to us for a bit?"

"Pretty much," Yugi replied rubbing the back of his head, "Atem told me that you guys were coming here to eat so I wanted to say hi."

"Well, you better get back then," said Mana, "because I think that I see her parents coming."

"Right, see ya guys later."

Yugi hugged his niece, nephew and sister-in-law before he shook his brother's hand. Atem patted his younger brother's shoulder saying that he'll see him soon. Yugi waved goodbye to the kids before walking back to his own family. Atem sat down beside his wife. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders as he normally did.

"That was a nice surprise," said Mana.

"Sure was," said Atem.

Akil and Adom were coloring together as they waited for their food to arrive. Mana smiled at her two children before looking up at her husband. She was happy on how her life turned out; she has two adorable children and an amazing husband. She couldn't ask for anything more than this. She leaned her head onto his shoulder watching her children.

"What color should we make this one," Akil asked.

"Brown," Adom cried.

"Okay goof, calm down."

He giggled as they continued to color. Atem chuckled at his children. He never expected that his life would turn out like this. He had two wonderful children that he adored and a beautiful wife that he adored just as much. He loved the family that he had. He was grateful to Mana for giving him two wonderful children.

"They're so adorable," said Mana.

"Just like their mother," Atem replied making her blush.

"You're such a charmer Temmy."

"Well, it's because I love you and I love seeing you smile love."

Mana blushed even harder. He could still make her blush after so many years of being together whether as a couple in high school or as a married couple; he still could make her feel so love. They kissed as their food came to the table.

#

"They're asleep," said Mana before climbing into bed.

Atem was watching TV in their bed while his wife was putting the kids to bed. Mana wrapped her arms around his waist and snuggled close to him. Atem turned off the TV to give his wife his full attention. He stroked her hair as he kissed her forehead.

"They had an interesting day today," he said.

"Yeah but it's a good thing they have a father that would go to war for them."

"I do the same for you too, love."

"I know and which is why I'm so lucky."

"I'm the lucky one."

They kissed. He pushed her hair back behind her ear as they kissed. She placed her hand onto his chest as they deepened the kiss. She pulled him over her as their hands were starting to roam over each other's bodies. They pulled back to allow air to enter their lungs.

"I love you Mana."

"I love you too Atem."
