CH 1
After Buu's defeat, Vegeto asked Chichi and Bulma to talk to explain the fusion and the consequences. " I am not Vegeta or Kakaroto. I am Vegeto. I am connected to both of you. My heart belongs to both of you, my family is with both of you. I am very conflicted finding a way to move forward that is fair for all of us".
Bulma: This is ridiculous. Lets get the dragon balls and have you separated. We have one wish in 6 months.
Vegeto: The Supreme Kai said that the power of the dragon balls is not enough to grant that wish. It's permanent.
Chichi could barely speak while sobbing. She took a big breath and asked "where are you going to live? Who will be your wife?
Vegeto looked down and said "I should stay here at the lookout. I will visit you and the boys. Kakaroto was married to you and Vegeta to Bulma. I loved both of you, but I am neither of your husbands".
Life moved on as usual within unusual circumstances. Vegeto would go to Mt. Paoz spent time with his sons and had lunch with Chihi. He would help with the farm to help support the family and go fishing. They were sort of happy. There was a lot of tension between Vegeto and Chichi. Every gaze, every time their hands touched for a second, there was so much electricity. Vegeto wanted to have Goku's wife in his arms. Every time Vegeto sensed Chichi's aroma, Goku's spirit sprong. After lunch, Gohan and Goten wanted to go to the city to watch a movie.
Gohan: Mom, Vegeto, why don't you come with us. It's a superhero movie. Everyone says it is the best movie of the decade.
Chichi: Believe me, I am tired of superhero stories. Besides, I have to do the dishes. It is not an easy task to feed three saiyans.
Vegeto: Count me out, it's hard to sit for that long.
Chichi thought Vegeto was going to leave as soon as the boys left, but he stayed. Chichi felt weird. She remembered how they always send Gohan to visit the Ox King to have the house for themselves. They were by themselves. As Chichi was putting the dishes away, Vegeto approached her from the back. "I miss you" while hugging her by the waist. Chichi could not resist those large arms, that strong touch. Vegeto turned her around to face him and passionately kissed her. It took Chichi by surprise, but she let herself go and enjoyed the long kiss. Things were hitting up. Vegeta started caressing her body and started undressing her. Chichi wanted to make love to her husband, but that is when she remembered Vegeto's words " Kakaroto was married to you and Vegeta to Bulma., but I am neither of your husbands".
Chichi: Stop, you said you are not Goku. He is my husband and I will always be faithful to him.
Vegeto: Half of my person is made by Goku. When I am with you my whole heart is Goku's.
Chichi: It is not fair to Bulma… The other half of your person in Vegeta.
Vegeto stopped. He touched her face, looked intensently at her eyes and teletransported out.
Chichi had a mix of emotions. She missed Goku. She loved Goku, but she found herself desiring Vegeto.
Ch 2
Vegeto also visited Bulma's house often and spent quality time with his family there. He used the gravity chamber and trained Trunks. Goten trained with them as well a couple of days a week. Bulma and Chichi did everything to make sure Goten and Trunks had as much normality in their daily life with this weird family situation.
Goten came back home after spending the weekend with Trunks at Bulma's house.
Chichi: How was your weekend, Goten? Did you finish the reading that you had pending? Remember that you promised to finish your reading if I let you spend the weekend with Trunks.
Goten: I did! Trunks also had homework to finish so we did it together. We did it a night before going to bed because Vegeto woke us up at sunrise to train the whole day.
Chichi: At sunrise? I guess when you can teletransport, you can get to places that early.
Goten: He didn't. He stayed at Trunks house the whole weekend. Bulma put us to do homework and her and Vegeto went to bed.
Chichi opened her eyes with great surprise and became quiet. Goten noticed the reaction and innocently asked, "Did I say something wrong mommy?"
Chichi: No, honey, I just remembered that I need to finish the laundry. I will be back.
Chichi's heart broke at that moment. She understood that Vegeto was not her husband, but half of Vegeto was Goku. When she stared at Vegeto's eyes, she could see Goku. Thus, Goku was with another woman. Logically, she knew that Vegeto and Bulma are free to do whatever they want. But her heart was hurting and there was nothing to help her except to remove herself from that triangle.
She needed a plan. Although Goku/Vegeto could never hold a job, he took care of fields that were their main source of income. Due to his saiyan strength he could get the job done very easily and quickly. She needed to find a way to not depend on that income and decided to look for a job. She was looking at the newspapers, but could not find something that she qualified for and paid enough money.
Videl was studying with Gohan in the living room. She went to the kitchen to get some water and saw Chichi circling ads in the newspaper. She was intrigued seeing her so focused and could not help to ask what she was looking for.
Chichi: Well, having Vegeto share his time between the two houses takes him away from the farm, so I think I should get a job. We are going to downsize the farm to grow produce just for our personal use, which is a lot as it is. I can take care of the farm and the boys can help too. It will be easy for them since it is a smaller field. I just haven't had any luck finding the right job.
Videl: I have an idea! I can talk to my dad and he can hire you as an instructor in one of his dojos. You are a good teacher. You homeschooled Gohan and he is brilliant. Goten is homeschooled too and he is very smart and a great martial artist at such a young age because of your teaching and training.
Chichi: I actually would love to teach martial arts. I had such a great time training Goten, but he surpassed me a long time ago. I would love to teach a non-saiyan.
Videl: That's it. I will talk with my dad and call you tonight for details.
Videl spoke with Mr. Satan and he agreed to hire Chichi. He had some doubts since he did not know of Chichi's past as a martial artist, but thought that to be married to Goku and have Gohan and Goten as kids, she probably knew a couple of things. Mr. Satan's dojos were very exclusive so the fees were pricey making Chichi's salary enough to afford the downsizing of the farm.
Videl called Chichi to share the good news.
Chichi: Thank you Videl! I am so excited to start. Three days a week. two classes each day sounds great.
Chichi shared the news with the boys.
Chichi: We need to talk. There will be some changes around the house. We are no longer selling produce. We will only grow our personal garden for us and you will be in charge of that. With your powers, it will only take you a couple of hours a week. To cover all the other expenses, I am going to start working as a martial arts teacher three days a week. Just a few hours each day. I will make sure all your meals are prepared, but you will have to serve yourselves. Strong modern men should know their way around the kitchen, so this is a great opportunity for you to learn.
Gohan and Goten were very confused. Her mom never acted like that. She was 100 percent dedicated to them. It was not like her to get a job but she looked happy. The happiest that she had been in a while.
Goten complaining: But mom, I don't like farming.
Gohan: Goten, stop. I think you will be a great teacher mom. Dad would be very proud of you.
Gohan's words made Chichi nostalgic. She wondered how Goku would have reacted if she was the one saying, 'I'll be back. .Going to train'. Chichi turned her back so they would not see her sobbing and said, "Boys, it's time for bed. I have to prepare for my class next week.
CH 3
A couple of days later, Vegeto came to visit his family at Mt. Paoz. Chichi usually received him with a warm welcome and eager to catch up, but she was cold and reserved. Chichi's delicious food did not taste the same. It was still flavorful, but there was something missing. Encountering Chichi's cold treatment made Vegeto remember when Chichi used to tell Goku that she was going to make his favorite food. He remembered how it made Chichi so happy that Goku enjoyed everything she made. Now, she would not even look at Vegeto.
After lunch, Chichi asked her son's to go get her something from the store a couple of villages away. As soon as they left Chichi finally looked at Vegeto.
Chichi: We need to talk.
Vegeto: Yes. Why are you acting so weird? Did I do something to upset you?
Chichi: Yes and no. I know you are not Goku, but part of you is and you spent the night with Bulma. Vegeto, you are free to do whatever you want, you are not my husband. But, Goku is. When I look into your eyes I see Goku, when you come close to me I feel Goku. But you are not him and your heart belongs to another woman.
Vegeto: But Chi…
Chichi: Let me finish. I can't help to think that my Goku was with another woman, even though that is not the case because you are Vegeto. I think that it is better for me to finish this relationship. It hurts, but I will heal.
Vegeto: Chichi, I love you. I can't be without you. But I can't be without Bulma. My spirit is always so conflicted when it comes to both of you. It is not possible to love two people so deeply, but I do.
Chichi:That sounds nice, but hard to believe unless Vegeta is the one who can't live without me. Goku left me for two years and then for seven.
Vegeto: Goku was dead…
Chichi: Goku could have been brought back to life, but he preferred to train in the other world without a nagging wife that kept asking him to help support the household and have his son study like a normal boy.
Vegeto: Goku wanted to be with you and Gohan, but him being away was the only chance to have peace and for Gohan to be a normal boy. Goku always thought of you and missed you. Goku came back to you the only chance he had to come to earth. Goku always came back to you. I came back to you.
Chichi: Goku married me just to uphold a promise he made as a kid. He did not know what marriage was. Now it's your opportunity to be free from me. Goku will thank you.
Vegeto: Goku only knew that it meant living together forever with the strongest women he ever met who also was the prettiest.
Chichi: Goku...I love you. But I can't live like this. I have to move on.
Vegeto: I love you.
Chichi: Don't worry about the farm. We will only grow the garden and the boys will take care of it. I found a job so that will cover other expenses. You are relieved of all your responsibilities towards me. I just asked you to always see the boys. You mean the world to them. If you are coming to see them, let them know so I can make sure to go run errands.
Vegeto: You do not want to even see me.
Chichi: It hurts too much. Please go.
Chichi went to her bedroom and left Vegeto in the kitchen. He didn't know what to do. He loved Chichi and wanted to run after her, but respected her wishes and left. Goku's heart was hurting.
CH 4
Chichi loved her new job. She was a very strict teacher, so she was transferred to teach the most advanced classes. Sometimes Goten would go with her to demonstrate. She spent a lot less time at home, but every time she had the chance to spend time with her sons was precious to her. Gohan noticed the Chichi looked different. She looked younger, happier and in some way stronger, like when she was the strong martial artist fighting his dad.
Chichi had not seen Vegeto in a few months. He respected her wishes and visited Gohan and Goten when she was not around. However, he would go to Mt. Paoz and look at her at the distance. He was happy just to have the chance to see her. He also noticed that she changed. She looked more beautiful than ever. Goku's part of him started growing a strong desire to divide more than ever. He kept thinking about the martial arts tournament when they reunited after many years. The distance was too hard for the half of the strongest being in the universe.
Chichi's reputation as a teacher got to Tien. 18 told Krilin and Krillin told everyone including Tien. Tien recently started a martial arts school and wanted to get some feedback from Chichi as a teacher. Tien invited Chichi to visit and meet some of his students.
Chichi accepted the invitation and decided to make a little field trip out of it with her sons. She packed a nice saiyan size picnic basket and went to see Tien's school.
At the school, the students were skeptical of her lesson because she was a woman and because she was a teacher in one of Mr. Satan's dojo. She quickly proved them wrong and showed to be an even stricter teacher than Tien. She did a demonstration leaving everyone mesmerized with her power, ability and grace.
Tien: Are you sure your mother is not a saiyan too?
Goten and Gohan were equally surprised and impressed. Her mom had increased her power level during these few months.
After the lesson, the students came to thank her and asked if she could come back again soon for another lesson.
Chichi: I'd love to. Let's see if your masters is okay with it.
Tien: Chichi you are always welcome here. Please come teach another lesson next week
Chichi: It's a plan. But all of you need to train harder and better prepared. I don't accept excuses.
After the lesson, Tien, Chiazu, Chichi and her sons went to a nearby waterfall to enjoy the picnic. They had a great afternoon. Tien also had changed. He was a lot happier as a teacher and enjoyed seeing his students grow. Although they had never had much of a friendship outside of Goku, Chichi and Tien started to realize they had many things in common as teachers. They enjoyed the conversation and seeing Goten and Gohan play in the waterfall.
Chichi: This is such a beautiful spot. We should come here again next week after the lesson. I will bring lunch.
Chichi and her sons went to see Tien the week after. This time they brought Videl with them to help Chichi with the lesson. Few girls decided to take the lesson since they saw Chichi and Videl and felt curious to learn more.
Chichi and her family went to Tien's school almost every weekend for a few months. More girls started attending and became interested in martial arts. Videl loved helping Chichi with the lesson and Gohan and Goten loved getting to goof around the forest. And everyone enjoyed lunch at the waterfall.
Vegeto was curious to know where his family was going every week and followed them without them knowing. He saw Chichi teaching. He was proud of her. Goku remembered their first date where they spared because that is the most pleasant thing to do. Then he saw the picnic and felt a new sensation that was not pleasant. He saw his family being happy with Tien. He saw Tien laughin with Chichi. He saw Chichi and Tien talking enthusiastically. He saw Tien carrying Chichi's picnic basket. 'Chichi is strong, she does not need anyone to carry her basket. Tien knows she is strong. Why is he doing that?' He hated that sensation. He wanted to fly and punch his good friend Tien so he could carry Chichi's basket and take her home. He had to calm down to minimize his ki and not be noticed.
CH 5
The week after Yamcha invited everyone to a baseball game. His team was going to play a big rival and it was supposed to be a really good game. He got the best seats in the house for everyone.
Tien could not attend because he had to stay at the school since Chiatzu had gone to a retreat for a week. Chichi was invited, but everyone knew she was not going to go because Vegeto was there.
At the stadium Vegeto sat with his sons. His sons noticed that he was not his usual easygoing self, but very serious. He was having that awfuls sensation he had when he saw Chichi and Tien together. He excused himself and said he was going to stretch, but teletransported to Tien's school.
Meanwhile at Tien's school, Chichi taught her lesson as usual. After the lesson Tien approached Chichi.
Tien: Chichi, we are all grateful for your lesson. The students really appreciate your technique and teaching style.
Chichi: It is my pleasure. It is funny I was so against Gohan practicing martial arts and now I am the one that is teaching them. Life sometimes can be funny. I miss my boys today. I very much enjoyed the picnic after the lesson with them. Talking about picnics, where is Chiatzu? We should head to the waterfall soon. I heard it might rain later in the afternoon.
Tien: Oh Chiatzu is on a retreat for a couple of days. We can still go have the picnic, or we can eat here in town
They both were a little (very) uncomfortable facing this dynamic of hanging together… alone together.
Chichi did not want to make a big deal out of it. She thought that maybe they should go to the picnic to not make it weird since she kept saying that her favorite part of the day was the "picnic with the boys at the waterfall".
Chichi thought, 'I am a married woman, I should not be going on picnics alone with a man. But we are basically colleagues so it should not be weird'
Tien in his mind, 'I don't think Goku would be okay with me going on a picnic with his wife. He is my friend. Well, she is beautiful, smart, and the best teacher. Our new friendship is solely based on our affinity for teaching.'
Chichi: Let's go have the picnic. I already made the food anyway. Maybe we can invite a couple of students.
That was a good idea, but by the time Chichi thought of it, all the students were gone for lunch.
Tien: Okay, let's go for a quick lunch because it will rain later in the afternoon.
Tien thought, Thankfully there will be rain so we can leave the waterfall soon'
They sat to eat the most awkward lunch with the most beautiful scenery. They made small talk and converse about the weather. All of this was happening while Vegeto observed from a tall tree.
In the middle of lunch they heard a thunder and started quickly tried to pack the basket to leave. While doing so their clothes got completely wet. You could see every chiseled muscle on Tien's body. Chichi's clothes were drenched. Tien was trying to be respectful, but could not help to notice every curve in her body and her hard nipples. Vegeto noticed Tien noticing Chichi. He tried to stay calmed, but it was becoming harder.
Tien: Chichi let me carry you back to town. I can fly and we can get there faster.
Chichi: Don't worry, I will call nimbus.
Tien: I fly faster. It will take me a minute to get there.
Chichi was hesitant and agreed to Tien's offer. At that point, Vegeto could not keep calm. His ki went up and that awful sensation was out of control. He was angry.
Chichi: Vegeto? What are you doing here?
Tien put Chichi down.
Vegeto: Chichi, I tried to leave you alone, but I couldn't. It made me happy to see you even from a distance.
Chichi: Vegeto you are not my husband.
Vegeto: Goku is. I am Goku! I want to be with you. I want to be the only one that carries your basket, the only one that holds you to fly. I am yours.
Tien: Vegeto, I had no bad intentions. My respect for Chichi as a teacher and loyalty to my friend Goku would have never let me do anything inappropriate.
Vegeto: I know Tien. It's not you. I am angry at myself. I want to be whole again, not two halves.
I WANT TO BE WHOLE AGAIN!
Goku's cells were frustrated having to be away from Chichi. Goku's cells needed Chichi to feel peace. Goku's cells were angry and reacting to losing his wife. As all saiyans, they become the most powerful with anger. The whole situation made Vegeto so angry that his body started emanating power and a flashing light started to flow from his body that blinded Chichi and Tien.
Once the flashes were over, there were two men laying on the floor. Vegeta and Goku were naked and unconscious. Chichi ran to attend Goku. It was her Goku, whole and all for her. Goku woke up and saw Chichi. He smiled at her and said to her "I missed you". They hugged tight to make sure it was not a dream.
Tien helped Vegeta regain consciousness. He was confused and could not believe that finally he was released from the prison of sharing one body.
They all went back to the village to get some clothes. Vegeta left as soon as he could get some pants to see his loved ones. Vegeta told Goku "I don't want to see you in a while. Find me when you are ready for a match, clown".
Tien let Goku and Chichi have some privacy. They were so happy together.
Goku: I think I should apologize to Tien. I shouldn't have yelled at thim and acted so territorial.
Chichi: Because you could not stand seeing your young wife with another man
Goku: I trust you Chichi...I know I am the only one because you are the only one for me.
Chichi: Whatever you said, Goku. I know you were jealous.
The couple said goodbye to Tien and went back to Mt. Paoz to surprise their sons. Once again an angry saiyan brought peace to Earth or at least the Son's home.
