She sighed and put her phone on the table.
,,You nailed it, Amanda," black haired guy chuckled slyly, supporting his body against the bar stool and sipping his coffee. ,,You intimidated another manager of another hotel-restaurant," he added, still looking at his wife.
She looked up at him and smirked ,,Good, at least he will be ready for my mom, who is twice as intimidating as me when she wants."
,,Yeah, especially when she's celebrating birthday because she's forced to do so," small blonde nodded in agreement with wide smile on her face, playing with the lip of her own mug.
,,How else should we talk her into it, Lily ?" Amanda washed her younger sister with slight pathetic look.
,,I know I know...Jeez sis chill out, you don't have to scare the shit out of me right in the morning as well… " Lily laughed softly, shaking her head and rather drinking her coffee now too.
,,Okay," Amanda sighed and crossed her hands on her chest. ,,I'm just slightly nervous today okay, and I want the dinner to be peaceful. Do I want so much ?" Brunette smiled softly withal inquiringly.
,,Well since you know our mom, you actually do," Lily laughed again.
,,Yeah, remember the dinner on her 60th birthday ? How she spilled her glass of scotch on waiter just because he told her 'Happy Birthday' ?" Black haired man reminded, finishing his coffee and walking slowly to his wife.
Brown haired man sitting beside Lily chuckled, nodding and adding ,,Yeah, or her 65th birthday, when she smoked nearly entire pack of cigarettes in non-smoking zone because she was all frustrated of the gift you gave her."
,,What was that ?" Black haired man asked with grin, his brows furrowing.
Brown haired guy uttered ,,The Memory Box."
,,Oh man ! I remember, that wasn't completely wise decision, " black haired nodded.
,,Well this year it will be different, Leo," Amanda lifted her finger, looking at her hubby.
Leo frowned, shaking his head ,,Why exactly ?"
,,Because we've decided, that we won't give her anything except The Dinner," Lily noted with cheery voice.
,,Like seriously nothing ?" Leo looked from one girl to the other.
,,Yep, we will eat in fancy restaurant and then leave her all to dad," Amanda approved with wide grin.
,,That sounds peaceful," brown haired man noted with nod, turning to his wife and slowly kissing her.
,,Okay, well sweetie, I gotta go to work," Leo leaned down to his Amanda and kissed her as well. ,,See you at four...Dylan do you want me to drive you to work as well, since you're staying by for two more days ? To save the gas in your car..." Black haired looked at the man still sitting.
,,Yeah, sure, bye love. See you later today," Dylan kissed Lily one more time before he stood up and went with Leo outside the spacious house.
,,I didn't know you're staying over for entire weekend ?" Amanda looked at Lily who softly shrugged just with her shoulders defensively.
,,Yeah…" her eyes slightly widening at the thought she had to keep for herself until this very evening.
,,Anyway it's great to have you near again. I mean...nearer than seven blocks away," Amanda smirked, reaching finally for her own cup to drink her own tea.
,,Yeaaah…" Lily repeated, drinking too, to distract her older sister from the topic. ,,Why do you drink tea in the morning ? That's not your nature," blonde suddenly noticed and frowned.
This time Amanda's eyes ever so slightly widened and she let out ,,Trying some new routine…" before she sipped her tea again, trying to look completely normal and confident as usually.
,,That's certainly new," Lily uttered quite surprised since they both were a lot after Joanne, especially coffee drinkers ever since their mom allowed them to drink it.
,,Mmm- by the way, do you know when does Henry with his chick planning to show up ?" Brunette asked quickly since she had full mind of birthday dinner and whole family crew.
,,No idea," Lily shook her head watching how Amanda swiftly took her phone again and dialed certain number.
After a few moments the other side picked up and brunette smiled into the phone ,,Hi lil' brother. How are you doing ?"
Lily quietly watched her oldest sibling talking with her youngest sibling via phone.
,,That's great and when are you two lovebirds planning to arrive ?" Amanda kept questioning.
,,Well I guess at three as usual," Henry answers from the other side.
,,That's great ! Kids cannot wait for their one and only uncle Henry, since they didn't see him for entire two weeks !" brunette sang with cheery voice.
,,Ha I can bet they do !"
,,By the way, do you have any gift for mom ?" Amanda tried to ask henceforth.
,,Nah, but…" Henry suddenly, unusually silenced.
,,But...what ? Henry…" Amanda cracked her brow in question, as if her brother could see her.
,,Is she still reluctant to surprises on birthday or she changed her mind since two weeks ago ?" He sounded slightly worried and Amanda'd say even nervous.
,,No she didn't. She's still veryreluctant. Henry what do you have up your sleeve ?" His oldest sister started lowering her voice in fear their mother could hear them from upstairs and from her sleep.
,,Ah-well nothing crucial, promise… " Henry answered slowly with smile in his voice.
,,Fine, but it'll be on your head okay !" Brunette scolded softly into phone being still watched by Lily who couldn't keep away her grin.
,,Rather on mine and Sarah's head...never mind now, see you all at three, okay ?" he yet added, before they said goodbye and both hung up.
,,I tell you, since he started dating Sarah, he's more often by her instead of here and he seems to be...settling ! Would you believe it ?!" Amanda explained her thoughts aloud to her sister sitting opposite her.
Lily laughed softly, shaking her head again ,,Are we talking about the same Henry ? The old-known skirt-chaser who always either stayed by girl just over night or took her in here and the next day brought home another one ?"
,,Yes, it's still him, but I don't know...he's changing, " Amanda supported her chin with her palm.
,,Apparently he's growing up into another phase of his life," Lily agreed laughingly.
Suddenly their peaceful chatter interrupted cheery voices coming from the kids play room behind them, which were approaching till they pierced the quiet of the dining room connected with lobby and partly with kitchen.
,,Mommy mommy, can we go upstairs and wake up granny and grandpa already ?!" Brunette eight years old leader of the group of kids asked cutely with her sweet pleading expression.
,,Alright Emma, but be careful and don't be so loud !" Amanda answered smilingly, but firmly to her first born daughter.
,,Sure !" Emma nodded smiling.
,,Applies to y'all !" Lily noted, looking at black haired four years old boy and blonde five years old twins.
,,Yes mom," blonde girl smiled knavishly and her twin brother nodded as well.
,,Sure mom," he smiled at Lily too.
,,We will be as quiet as mice," black haired boy smiled cutely, putting his index finger on his mouth.
,,I am sure you will be the most quiet of them all, Jeremy," Amanda smiled at her son and leaning down she kissed his forehead.
,,Okay, Jey, Chloe, Ethan, let's go," Emma commanded professionally since she was the oldest of them all and they all went for the stairs, leading to mezzanine and another stairs to first floor, while their moms stayed downstairs in the middle of the very spacious, family house.
,,Do you think it's wise, to let them wake our parents this way ? To rush in there in the morning ?" Lily asked a bit unsure.
Amanda slowly looked at the time on her screen of her phone nodding ,,According to clock its already past ten, so I guess...I hope they might not interrupt them much."
,,But you know our mom and dad," Lily chuckled almost dirtily with her agreeingly nodding, chuckling sister.
Sun was already up and shining through light curtains of the main bedroom of the house.
Their intensity woke Robby first, his crystal blue orbs met the light and then slowly focused on the warm body, peacefully lying beside him.
Corners of his mouth lifted in smile as his hand caressed Joanne's side, since she was lying towards her husband with her back. Calmly puffing from sweet sleep, she didn't make a slighted sign of wakening when Robby's palm smoothed over the curve of her body covered in thin layer of her dark violet negligee.
Robert carefully manoeuvred closer to her back, his fingers exploring the uncovered area of brunette's thigh, before coming back up, across the fabric and to her bare arm.
His smile still covering his features when she softly sighed, but that was all.

,,Oh really ? Our phantom of the opera is about to appear after whole two weeks," Robert waved his brows towards Joanne opposite him.
,,That's also great ! But now tell me, and speak truth, truth and nothing but the truth… " Joanne looked seriously at all kids, who looked at her all together. ,,Do you know anything about any kind of surprise your parents might have prepared for me ?"

Robert smiled tapping with his palm against his hip. ,,Thank you all for the information our clever little spying birds, " he chuckled approvingly. ,,Now it's time for me and granny to have shower, so you could now tell your parents we'll be downstairs for brunch soon, and you might help them prepare it, " he winked at kids who enthusiastically nodded and started slowly crawling off bed.
,,I'm sooo hungry," Joanne nodded when kids were taking back their shoes on.
,,Yes granny !" Ethan smiled rushing out the door, Chloe right behind him.
,,We'll make you something good to eat !" Jeremy added, rushing behind them.

,,And close the -! ….door," Joanne didn't manage to finish her sentence when all kids disappeared, rushing downstairs, but leaving door from bedroom opened.
Robert chuckled loudly, watching annoyed Joanne stand up from bed and walk towards door, to close them.
,,If I ever wanted anything for my birthday, then it is a little more privacy...do I ask for too much ?" She looked over Robby who lied in bed, hands folded under his head.
,,In this house, in our great family, you do," he nodded laughingly, making Joanne only scoff.
,,I mean it seriously, Bobby," she looked at him last time before -since she was already standing and fully waken- she made her way to door from their private bathroom. ,,I wish I could spend with you one day. One day of just lying together in our bed, fully enjoying each other, without any worries about unlocked doors or completely about our kids or grandkids… " she sighed as she stood in front of mirror, looking at herself, taking comb from wash basin and lazily combing her brown curls.
Robby slowly walked in and closed door behind him ,,That would be delightful."
