Galactic date: 20xx.
At the farthest reaches of our starmaps lies the brightest planet in the known universe...
The Planet's name: 'Popstar'.
Popstar was known across the galaxy by many people, and for many reasons. Some knew of it for it's treasure, some knew of it for its culture, some knew of it for its history regarding warriors, and others didn't know of it at all.
There was one thing, however, that many people across the galaxy knew of for many reasons...
And that something... was the hero of the Planet, who was called 'Kirby'.
On the outside, Kirby did not seem like the warrior type to anyone. However, his skills made up for this outward appearance, as he had been known to have taken down foes worthy of gods.
Many years have passed since he has fought anyone, and the young one appears to have left for an intergalactic trip now that peace reigns across the stars.
So what became of the baby star warrior, Kirby?
Let's find out...
...
...
...
"Zzzzzzzzzzz... Zzzzzzzzzzz..."
Quiet.
That would be an incredibly accurate way to describe how the atmosphere of the room was.
The room of a little starship, to be more precise.
The Starship that we are talking about looked much like your typical one, except it was somewhat larger. It was star-shaped, but it had multiple rooms that was fit for it's one passenger's every requirements:
A toyroom in case he wanted to play.
A kitchen where he could get food.
A bathroom in case of an emergency.
A swimming room with a large pool.
A living room with a fireplace.
And the biggest room on the ship; the bedroom, where he slept whenever in need of rest.
...
Speaking of the bedroom, that was where he was now!
Now, given that someone was asleep in there, of course the room was very dark. However if one was nocturnal or their eyes were used to the lighting, they would be able to see what the room is like.
It was brightly colored just like the bedroom of a human child, with multiple drawings and stars on the wall. There was a beanbag chair in the corner of the room near a large drawer with lots of coloring books and art supplies jammed into it, and a little pink closet, although the closet contained only hats. And near the large window of the bedroom, there was a large bed with a looooooooooooong blue blanket that almost touched the floor.
If one looked at the bed clearly enough, they could see that a living person was in the bed. And it was none other than Kirby, who was fast asleep, clutching a bunny plushie.
Kirby lay in the bed, only moving occasionally whenever the ship made a light turn or whenever it passed a large planet. From the looks of it, he appeared to be under the spell of a mysterious snoozing curse...
...Er, no. Wait. He actually just needed to take a big nap, as he was very tired that day. Which explained why he was so deep into his sleep.
After a while of snoozing right there in bed, the ship came to a sudden halt. Once it did, an electronic voice rang out,
"Good morning, starchild. We are nearing your destination."
"Urk... hmmm?"
Upon hearing the siri-like voice ring out to him as the ship gradually slowed down, the little warrior slowly opened his eyes. The ship had been programmed to repeat that message every morning at the exact time he woke up.
Which was REALLY late.
Anyway, the little puffball pressed a button on the wall near his bed, causing a lavender nightlight attached to the board to flicker on. Kicking off the blankets once the light was on, the little puffball hopped out of bed, and placed his bunny plushie on the pillow. Then fixed the blankets he had just kicked off, making the bed seem like the blankets were never kicked off.
After the bed was fixed, he wandered out into the hallway of the ship, stretching. Ah, another beautiful morning.
You see, the little one had been on an interstellar vacation for two whole weeks ever since his last battle with the monster that called itself 'Void termina', and had seen lots of beautiful planets while he was gone.
But now, he was heading for the world he called home; Planet Popstar.
But first, he wanted to see one more planet before returning home. It was one he had heard so much about while he was on his travels, and he was excited to see it. And he would be able to see it on his way home, so of course that was a good thing.
Now, the little puffball was in the living room. It was big (about the same size as the bedroom), and there were lots of things in it. A beanbag chair near the window, a table that was just the right size for a li'l puffball like him, a widescreen TV, and a cockpit area where there was a small screen and pilot's seat with what looked like a small pink and yellow star and heart-patterned joystick. This joystick controlled the ship's direction and helped it to turn, much like how a steering wheel would in a car.
Kirby looked up.
"How much longer till we see it, poyo?" he asked the ship.
[ We will be nearing the destination shortly, starchild. ]The ship responded.
While this would have seemed like a reasonable answer to a normal person, but Kirby unfortunately isn't what one would deem as 'normal' and was bored with that answer. So, not wanting to wait any longer, the little puffball went over to the beanbag chair and plopped into it, bored. He was so excited to see it before he could return home and show everyone all the souvenirs he got from other worlds. Heck, maybe he could even go back to sleep for a bit.
But just as he was about to close his eyes for a second time to take a snooze...
[ We are now nearing the destination, starchild. ]
Kirby jumped at the sound of the ship's electronic voice suddenly coming on. Wait, they were there already? Well, that didn't take long. Scrambling in the little beanbag chair, Kirby quickly turned the beanbag chair to look out the window as the ship kept on moving as slowly as it did.
There it was; the beautiful little planet he had wanted to see so badly.
It was bright blue with green splotches on it, and the most adorable little white clouds were on it, too.
[ Destination: Planet Mobius.] The ship informed Kirby of the Planet's name as he stared out the window.
"It's just like how everyone said it was..." Kirby said in awe of the world he was seeing.
He had heard lots of silly little rumors about this planet from multiple others across the stars. One of them was that 50% of the people that lived on it believed that their planet was the only one in the universe that had life living on it.
Which was obviously a lie, considering that Kirby was proof that other life-forms exist across the universe.
He took out his phone, taking pictures with it so that he could show his buddies when he returned to Planet Popstar later. He kept on doing so for about... 10 minutes, to be precise. He was about to ask the ship if he could put off going home for a li'l bit when...
[ ERROR. ERROR. ERROR. ERROR. ERROR. ]
"Poyo...?"
Error? What did that mean? Whatever it meant, the ship was repeating it multiple times. Kirby was nervous at this point. He decided to ask the ship.
"What's going on?" he asked loudly and clearly.
[ Outside object attached to ship. Repeat: Outside object attached to ship. ] The ship's Siri-voice responded.
Oh, so something was outside? That was... odd, considering Kirby had only been here for 10 minutes or so. What could have seen the Starship during all that time?
Was it a space robber? A meteor ghost? A demon? A monster? To Kirby, the possibilities were endless. However, his brainstorm about whatever was going on was interrupted by something suddenly going,
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Something was making a tapping sound!
"Poyo?" Kirby said to himself, glancing around to see who or what it was.
Then it came again.
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Kirby continued looking around the room, determined to find out what the tapping was.
The sound was very loud here, so it obviously wasn't somewhere in the other rooms. And it sounded much like someone was knocking on something, if you listened closely. There was also something on the window- wait, what?
There was something on the window!
Noticing after checking the window at least once or twice, the Little puffball's eyes widened. Something was now clinging to the window of his ship. And with a robotic claw, too. And because it was trying not to let go, it was hitting accidentally itself against the glass, which caused the tapping sound.
This surprised Kirby, as he had not seen anything like this before.
...For those of you who are wondering what 'this' thing is that Kirby was seeing on the window, it was...
A little Robot.
Kirby had seen multiple robots before on his adventures, but not quite any like... this.
Or at least, not anything that looked like it. In fact, this one looked like a little gray ball with blue outlines and armor on the front of it. On top of it, it had a sharp blue cap with a red-striped edge. Below this cap, reaching from just behind the edge of their front armor to far behind their back, was a horizontal yellow turbine disk with a red and blue-striped frame. On their "face", there was a single yellow, red and white lens.
It didn't seem to be dangerous. But whatever it was, it's red lens was aimed directly at Kirby. It was obviously watching him.
Having seen lots of movies before, Kirby knew that it would be best to stand still and to not make any movements whatsoever or he would be attacked.
Wait. I think that was a movie about DINOSAURS, Not robots.
As Kirby continued to stare the little robot down from where he was standing, he waited for the moment something would happen.
And then, the little robot stopped 'looking' in his direction and seemed to look away. Kirby, feeling safe enough to move again, took a few steps forward to look out the window where it was.
The little robot seemed to scan the window for a second, and occasionally feel it with it's claw without leaving any scratch marks on the window somehow.
Was it... trying to break in? But that would cause Kirby to be sucked out into space. And space had NO air. AT ALL. So of course, that would be bad.
The robot kept on feeling the window, until it found something.
You see, there was a door that was a little circular-shaped hatch that happened to be on the window that Kirby used to get in and out of the ship whenever he landed somewhere. But Kirby had been told that opening it while in space was absolutely off limits. And seeing the robotic claw that the robot had, Kirby knew exactly what to do... sort of.
"Poyo! Get away!" He cried, constantly waving and pointing as if to tell the little robot to go away.
He was going to keep doing so for a little while, but the robot seemed unfazed by his movements. So it just reached out towards the door, and very gently...
Forced it open.
"...!"
Welp. Once THAT happened, a look of dread came across Kirby's face.
Once the door had been forced open by the robot, that immediately caused a large GUST of wind to blow out of the hatch. Kirby, being the lightweight he was, was forced to grab onto the nearest piece of furniture to prevent himself from going flying into space.
Thankfully, the robot was hit by the gust and sent flying away as a result. So of course, this made Kirby believe that his troubles were over. Until—
Creeeeeeaaaaaakkkkkk.
"Uh..."
Kirby quickly turned to look at the cockpit area, which was where that odd 'creak' sound had come from.
Another small hatch had opened, and it was the one containing the ship's energy spheres.
See, Energy spheres where what powered the ship. So they were very important!
Anyways. Now that the hatch was opened, multiple energy spheres went flying out of it, and into space. And since the ship was so close to the Planet's atmosphere, they were falling down to the planet.
"No! Go ba-"
Kirby could barely finish that before the final energy sphere went flying out of the ship.. and hit him in the head. HARD.
Kirby lost his grip and unfortunately let go of what he just so happened to be holding onto.
Kirby was unable to do anything as he felt himself falling to the planet's surface. He also couldn't keep his eyes open from the pain from being bonked in the head by an energy sphere. Feeling cold all of a sudden, the little puffball slowly lost consciousness as he continued falling... falling...
