Making her way through the small corridor of the ship she stopped as she spotted Mike sitting at his desk staring into space
"Everything okay?" she asked softly knocking on the doorframe
"Hmm…" he said as he shifted to look at her tired form
"I asked if everything was okay…" she answered leaning against the doorframe
"Yeah…" he sighed as he smiled softly at her
"Did you hear from NAVCOM?" she asked changing the subject
"Maxine rang earlier, Charge is going to make a full recovery just a few broken ribs and some cuts" he said softly
"That's good to hear" she nodded as she moved out of the doorway to walk off
"Kate…" he said using her name as she turned to face him again
"How's the cheek?" he asked as she moved inside his cabin
"May I?" she asked motioning to the door as he nodded she shut it softly.
"It is healing as we speak…" she said instinctively moving her hand to brush against her right cheek that had a cut and purple bruise forming on it
"And the bruised ribs?" he asked as she smiled softly
"I really wish you'd hadn't of gotten involved" he sighed as he shifted in his chair
"What was I supposed to do?" she asked moving to sit on his rack as he swivelled in his chair to face her
"You could have called for help"
"With all due respect, boarding party's is a part of my job as Executive Officer it was just an unfortunate mistake" she sighed
"Kate, the owner of the boat attacked you, knocking you to the floor kicking the crap out of you if Charge hadn't of stepped in you'd have more than just some bruised ribs and a cut cheek right now" he answered sadly
"Yes and as a result he is the one in hospital getting stitched up" she replied as he moved out of his chair and sat next to her on his rack.
"What happened to Charge wasn't your fault" he said turning to look at her as his eyes met with hers
"I know…" she replied softly as he reached a hand up and caressed her bruised cheek she closed her eyes at his touch
"Mike…" she began saying as she felt his lips press against hers before they pulled away
"If anything ever happened to you…" he said softly as she reached her hand up placing it on his neck
"I'm fine" she smiled as he moved his head forwards their lips were inches apart as he carefully placed a hand on her waist and maneuvered them so she was now laying down on his rack as he moved to hover above her he ran his hand along her shirt as he stopped looking at the tag of her name 'McGregor' staring him back in the face as he moved his hand up brushing it against her cheek he leant back down and placed a kiss against her cut
"We're on the boat…" she said softly placing her hand on his chest
"I don't care, I need you" he answered as he leaned down placing a passionate kiss against her lips he began to pull at her shirt a small pop each time a button unclicked, running his hand under her grey shirt he stopped as she flinched a little remembering her bruised ribs he stopped as he pulled away from the kiss and looked her deep in the eye as she smiled softly at him nodding.
Pulling himself back he pulled at his shirt as the pop of the buttons echoed through his cabin throwing it on the floor he then proceeded to pull off his grey shirt as he discarded it he began carefully tugging Kate's she sat up pushing him against the wall for support she moved to sit in his lap as she pulled her shirts off throwing them in the same direction as Mikes she smirked as his eyes widened at the sight of her now sitting on his lap in her bra,
