I almost cry writing this.

Alone...

No one likes bein' alone...

Not when you are broken fer years...

Just because of one malfunction ruined ye life...

All I wish for is to have... At least...

Huh? What was that?

The figure though as he took a peek out what appears to be curtains and what he just saw shocked him. There was a little girl with black curly hair, brown eyes with blue and purple glasses she looked like a 6 years-old kid to him. She was being beat by other kids, she was crying for help to her mom while some where laughing at her calling her many horrible things that nobody would be called at. Some kids tried to help her but the bullies where taller than them some of them fight off the bullies, others where scared, while the rest went to get some help.

"Leave our cousin alone!"

"Yeah leave her alone!"

"She doesn't deserve to be bullied by you!"

"She's just a wimp!"

"And ugly!"

"And a mommy's girl!"

"Why can't you just leave that girl alone?!"

"Yeah don't you have something else to do?"

The children where arguring during the drama the good ones where mad and the bullies didn't care at all. Some didn't said anything and hid among themselves in fear.

He didn't know what to do he was just standing there being helpless while the kids are doing the best they can.

'What am I suppose to do...

I'm broken...'

'I'll always be broken...' He though still hearing the cries of the little girl and the kids who are desperatly trying to help her. He been much worse than her an event that took the life of him and his own friends by an evil person they wanted revenge on that men and they did, which took him his own life, a painfull dead. But they somehow weren't be able to leave guess it's not the time for them... Yet.

As he though about it he look out his curtains once more the little was now covered with bruises still crying. Then he heard the words that made him take action.

"Help... Mommy..." The young girl cried out of strength.

"Your mommy will never come for you! No wonder you're so weak!" One of the bullies mocked her.

At that moment her snaped not in shock but in anger. His eyes turned from gold in black and white. He had enough of their bullying and mockery. It felt like ages before he finally react and-

"SSSSSCCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

All the kids cried in fear at the sight of him and his scream and ran away screaming and crying. He had done it and there is no turning back... For him.

At least that's what he though...

'What was that?!...' The little girl though as she still had her eyes covered not wanted to look. After a few moments of silence she realized she was alone. She froze, she doesn't like being alone... She used to many people in one place but not without her mom. She started to cry.

'I want my mommy...'

As he saw the little girl crying in fear he came to his senses. See her cry broke his heart he wanted to do something to make her feel save. He slowly approached her like 3-feet way from her to make her feel secure.

"Ahoy..." He replied.

As she heard that the girl slowly took a peek of the one who is talking to her. What she saw surprised her it was a fox, but he was on two legs. He was taller a little than her mother, he was reddish-brown, he was wearing brown pants, he had gloden eyes with white pupil, he appears wearing a black eye patch over his right eye, he had sharp teeth buy the pointy parts of where cut off, he had a right hook on his right hand and what appears he had damages with his endoskeleton exposed in a number of places in his body.

By the looks in her Point of view he looked like one of the animatronics she'd seen in the pizzeria.

"It's ok lass, I won't hurt ye..."

It took her time for getting the courage to look at him in the eye but she did. She winced at the pain of the bruises on her arms and legs.

"Don't move, i'll be right back..." He went back to his cove to get something and got back to her in a flash with a long white fabric.

He slowly took a look at her arm luckly they weren't that bad just a few scraches and small blues. With his teeth he tear the fabric peace by peace to wrap every wound she had.

The little one remained silent observing every single thing he's doing she felt save with the pirate fox now but she still remained quiet.

"That should do, for now." He said as he finished wraping her injures.

She still didn't answer she just... Stared at him blankly...

"Are ye ok?"

She nodded.

"Are ye sure?"

She nodded again.

"What's ye name, lass?" He asked.

"M-m... My name is... NightStar." She studdered.

"NightStar?" He replied back.

She nodded at his question. "What's yours?" Now it's her turn to ask.

"Foxy... Foxy the Pirate Fox."

"Foxy? What kind of name is that?" She didn't believe that someone could have a name like that.

"Well I wasn't named like that before..." He said as his ears pressed down in sadness.

"You didn't... Why?"

"It's a long story, but I wouldn't wanna go ta the details... It's not so nice to hear."

"Oh... Where you hidding in there for the whole time?"

He nodded.

"Then how come no one ever saw you?" She asked the pirate fox.

"I'm... I'm broken..."

"Why?"

"You wouldn't wanna know that either..." He looked away from her with a feeling of guilt and sorrow.

"I don't think you're broken." She replied.

"What do ye mean?"

"I don't see that you are, I think you're ok to me."

He couldn't believe her words it had been so long that he had been close to a kid that isn't afraid of him it made him fell... So... Happy for the first time in a very long time.

"Foxy?"

"Aye?"

"Do you hate me?..." NightStar saddly asked.

"What? No! What made ye said that?"

She then started to cry. "It's just... It's just that everyone thinks i'm weak and weird! And I hate it!" She yelled in anger.

Foxy felt bad for her looks like he's not the only one who's broken.

"It's ok... Don't worry ye save now."

"Really?..."

"Aye, matey!" He said with encouragement.

She laughs at her new friend's enthousiasim.

"After all I did heard ye cousins tryin' to help ye. Why wouldn't they hate ye?"

She wiped her tears with a small smile.

"I guess your right."

Then they both heard a voice comming.

"Don't tell anyone that I was alive, lass."

"Don't worry I won't." She assured him.

"I also wanna give ya this." He pulled out a mini-plush version of himself and gave it to the little girl.

"So that you will not be alone when ye get lost again."

"I love it Foxy! Thank you." He ran to him and gave him a big hug he did the same. He stood up and slowly walked his way to pirate cove he took one last glance at the girl before closing his curtains.

She smiled for a bit before hearing someone calling her name.

"NightStar!"

She immediately turned around to see her mother. A woman with brown eyes and black hair.

"Mommy!"

She ran into her mother's arms she was so happy to see her. Her mom was so relieved to see her daughter okay.

"Are you ok? Did those kids hurt you?!"

"I'm ok a few kids and my cousins came and tried to help me until someone came and scared them and he helped make me fell better and gave me this plush as a gift."

"Really?"

"Yeah and I loved it!" She hugged Mini-Foxy very tight.

"I'm sorry that your birthday didn't turned out what you've wanted sweetie." Her mom said with a sorry expression.

'Birthday? Her birthday was today?' Foxy though hearing this.

"It's ok mommy as long as my family is here and those nice kids are here it's enough for me." NightStar reasured her mother with a smile.

"Ok my dear let's go tell everyone that the party is still on."

"Okay!" They both smiled as her mom carried her.

As she looked back at Pirate Cove fox took a peek and waved goodbye at her new friend one last time. She slowly waved back.

'Happy Birthday, lass.'
