In the middle of the night in Hub City, Springer landed at the Hub Dome hangar. Exiting from him was Princess Bubblegum on important business. She is guided by Minervabots to the labs underground below the Hub Dome. They then leave her when she enters Minerva's main server room, which is identical to her previous server in Founders Island as an island surrounded by water-cooled servers, but less sinister as it is now plain white and has better lighting. "Please, come in. Do you want some tea?" Minerva greeted Princess Bubblegum on the main screen.

"No, I'm fine." Princess Bubblegum declined. A Minervabot carried a comfortable armchair for Princess Bubblegum to sit on as she conversed with Minerva. "You know why I called you here, yes?" Minerva asked Princess Bubblegum. "I… I'm sorry for sending that spy-der bot to spy on you. I was just… cautious. As a princess, it is my duty to protect my kingdom from any possible threat." Princess Bubblegum apologized. "I understand, though I took more of a defensive approach than an offensive one." Minerva said.

"So, how much do you know of Hub Dome's projects?" Minerva asked Princess Bubblegum. Princess Bubblegum thinks silently before saying "Everything." hesitantly. "Everything, including Project Teracotta?" Minerva interrogated further. "Yes, including that." Princess Bubblegum confirmed. "I heard from Flame Princess about your sabotage attempt on her kingdom. I can assure you that won't be necessary for me. I promise that Hub City will be a steadfast ally to Ooo, just as Finn has." Minerva told Princess Bubblegum.

"It's… you can't be too sure, y'know?" Princess Bubblegum said. "By the way, something came in my mail an hour ago. It's for you." Princess Bubblegum told Minerva as she showed her an envelope. A Minervabot takes the envelope, opens it, and scans its contents for Minerva. "Another one." Minerva said. "Princess, we can continue this discussion some other time. I have something to take care of." Minerva told Princess Bubblegum before her screen shuts off.

Some days later, Simon was conversing with his friend Al in the Hub Dome's underground lab, who is currently a lesser digital entity like Minerva. "So that kid's been giving your can the can for that long?" Al asked Simon. "Like I said, my mind was completely bonked." Simon told Al. "Man, what's with the world now? Magic, mutants, magic mutants, it's all crazy!" Al said excitedly. "Yeah, I wish you could see it with me." Simon said.

A Minervabot approaches Simon and Al. "Your visitation period with Monk, Alvin has ended." it informed Simon. "See ya tomorrow, Frosty the Snowman." Al told Simon. He leaves with the Minervabot to the exit. "If you find Theo's grave or corpse, tell him I said hi!" Alvin added.

Simon ascends to the ground floor from the elevator and exits. Meeting up with him are Finn and Jake. "Hey, Simon. How was your talk with Al?" Finn asked Simon. "We managed to catch up, though it was mostly me doing the talking since he's been just a brain for a thousand years." Simon answered. "How are my old neighbours?" Simon asked.

"They're doing alright. It sure was helpful of Music Hole to let them climb up her… music hole." Jake answered. "Don't worry, we'll find that Daniel guy for Nancy." Finn assured Simon. A Minervabot approaches them again. "Voyagers, Miss Campbell has summoned you all for a mission." the Minervabot informed them. "This early? It hasn't even been a week yet!" Jake said in surprise.

They all ascend the elevator to their main base on the third floor where Minerva was on the giant monitor. "What is it, mom? An emergency" Finn asked Minerva. "We received another riddle last night." Minerva informed them. "Another riddle?!" they all said in unison. Just arriving in the elevator are Seamus and Chad.

"Wassup, did we miss anything?" Seamus wondered. "Hey, you're back!" Jake said to the two. "Well, yeah, this is our job. We have to come in." Chad said. "Where's Elisa?" Finn wondered. "She was given a mission to explore the city of Boston in America with new recruits." Minerva informed Finn.

"Don't keep us in suspense, what does the riddle say?" Jake asked Mienrva impatiently. The screen then displays a scan of the riddle.

Thank you for saving the vessels of thought

Though yet to find me, you have not

In an isle built by techs

Your perilous journey will bring you next

Through the mist on the edge of docks

You will find the Griffin of the Rocks

"Island built by techs? Griffin of the Rocks? I think I know where the riddle might lead us!" Simon noted. "Griffin Rock, Maine, if I am correct?" Minerva assumed. The monitor now displays a map of North America where a red marker is placed off the coast where the former state of Maine is.

"Griffin Rock was one of the most advanced cities in the old world, despite its size and population." Simon explained. "Voyagers, your mission today is to travel to Griffin Rock and find the sender of these riddles. I have Ursa Kildare ready at the docks." Minerva commanded them. "You got it, Finn's Mom!" Jake acknowledged. They all leave through the elevator together. Minerva then began to call up Princess Bubblegum.

At the docks, The Voyagers meet up with Springer, Fallback, and Backfire as Minervabots finish loading crates into the cargo hold. "G'day! Y'all ready for the mission?" Fallback greeted the team. "We sure are!" Finn responded excitedly. As they begin to board the ship, Backfire approaches Simon. "Simon, how are you feeling?" Backfire asked Simon.

"I'm feeling… relieved. First, I find out Nancy and my neighbourhood are still alive, then Al, too. It's a lot to take in." Simon replied. "Except… Daniel, he's still missing. I'm still worried about him. What if we find his skeleton dead in a West Coast crater? What are we going to tell Nancy?" Backfire wondered worriedly. "Then… we'll tell her. She's going to want some closure either way." Simon said as they boarded the ship. Fallback then approached the two. "So I heard you went face-to-face with Lockdown, right? Did ya give him a good hurtin'? Dingo deserved it after wrecking my face up." Fallback asked Backfire.

"I fought his drone general, who didn't put up much of a fight. It just… freaked out when it saw me. Lockdown was busy fighting Springer, so go ask him." Backfire replied. "Aight. Thanks, mate." Fallback thanked him before walking away. "Did you say the drone leader freaked out?" Simon asked Backfire. "Yeah, just like when it sees you every time." Backfire replied. "Why does it do that? Since it's a brain, maybe it's someone we used to know. Maybe… no, it couldn't be." Simon pondered.

The ships horn sounded to signal it is about to set sail. "All aboard!" a Minervabot shouted over the ship's speakers. Ursa Kildare soon moves as the groundbridge arch rises from the depths of the ocean. Soon the ship sails into the glowing green arch to their destination, but as they pass through the alarms sound. "What's going on?!" Jake yelled worriedly.

"Error. Error. Destination not found." the Minervabot's voice announced on the speakers. "What does that mean?!" Seamus wondered. "It means we're going to be flung elsewhere!" Springer answered. "Hold onto something!" Fallback yelled. The ship passes through the unstable green vortex and disappears.

Ursa Kildare soon materialises in a foggy area as the crew braced for impact on the railings. "Are we dead?!" Seamus screamed. "No, we're not!" Chad replied angrily. Finn looks over the railings and sees the ground mere feet below. "I think we're stuck!" Finn told his team. The Voyagers and Minervabot crew disembark to explore their surroundings.

"Where are we? Are we near our destination at least?" Backfire wondered. "We're definitely in Maine, but we're far off from the coast." Springer answered as he read his navigation system. "How far are we from Griffin Rock?" Simon asked Springer. "It's about sixty, maybe seventy miles southeast of here." Springer answered. "What was going on with the groundbridge back there? Why were we flung from our destination?" Chad wondered.

"Usually it is because of minor malfunctions in the machine, other times there is electromagnetic interference in the destination, so a groundbridge couldn't be established." Backfire explained. "It looks like we'll have to take Springer there!" Fallback said. "Why don't we take it easy and walk? We've got time." Finn suggested. "That's gonna take foreeever!" Seamus whined. "Can it, Dyson!" Chad argued.

"Springer, stay with the Minervabots and guard the ship. We'll be back soon." Finn told Springer. The Voyagers soon walk into the fog towards Griffin Rock. "So we're just gonna hope we find a ship to sail there?" Jake said to Finn. "There's gotta be a ship somewhere, so yeah. Even better; we find a bridge to the island." Finn answered. "Griffin Rock did have plans for a bridge to Bar Harbour, but it never commenced construction when the war broke out." Simon said.

As they walked through the fog and followed the road, they suddenly hear a fearsome roar. "What was that?!" Seamus panicked. "Get ready, everyone!" warned his team as they brandished their weapons. From the fog they hear thumping getting louder and louder, as if something big was running at them. "Here it comes!" Finn yelled.

A giant dark shape rushes past them and clashes with another dark shape that snuck up behind The Voyagers. "Woah!" Jake yelped. One of the dark shaped breathes fire, lighting up the area and revealing itself to be a green giant robot Tyrannosaurus Rex attacking a black-and-red semi-truck Decepticon armed with long claws. The robot dinosaur chomps down on the Decepticon and thrashes them around before throwing them into the fog. "I'll get you for thiiis…!" the Decepticon cursed at the dinosaur with a nasally voice betraying his terrifying appearance.

"Hey, you guys okay?" the dinosaur asked The Voyagers with a deep-sounding voice as he looked at them with his glowing blue eyes. "Uh yeah, we're fine. Who are you?" Finn asked the dinosaur. The robotic reptile transforms into a towering green-and-black robot mode that would dwarf even Springer. "Name's Sharp-T, I'm a Dinobot. I'm here on a super-special Autobot mission capturing escaped convicts, but don't tell anyone that." Sharp-T introduced himself.

Emerging from the fog are three more Autobots, one of which being Bumblebee. "Hey, it's you guys!" Bumblebee greeted Finn's team. "Bumblebee! We haven't seen you in a while." Finn told Bumblebee. "I was busy doing ambassador stuff when I caught wind of a prison ship crash land on Earth. I brought Drift and Officer Strongarm from Cybertron to help." Bumblebee told them as he gestured to a red samurai-like Autobot and a white pickup truck Autobot. "Strongarm, Sharp-T, these are The Voyagers. Finn's the boy with the shirt, the yellow dog is his brother Jake, Simon is the one in the suit, Doctor White is the one in the lab coat, and Seamus is the gruffy-looking one. You guys already know about Springer and Fallback, and Backfire here was a teammate of mine in the Daredevil Squad." Bumblebee introduced his team to The Voyagers.

"So you are The Voyagers. My name is Officer Strongarm of Tarn Police Department. Ambassador Bumblebee has really been singing your praises, uniting people across the world." Strongarm introduced herself to The Voyagers. "Daredevil Squad?" Finn repeated. "It was a short stint. We just painted ourselves silver and went hog on some 'Cons." Backfire said. "What is your mission here? If you seek another human settlement, Milford is very near." Drift informed The Voyagers with a Japanese accent. "We're looking for Griffin Rock. Someone wants to see us there." Finn answered.

"Milford has some barges you might be able to use. We'll take you there." Bumblebee told The Voyagers. Bumblebee's team transforms into their sports car, police truck, and T. Rex modes. "Follow us!" Sharp-T told The Voyagers.
