"Sir please, these students need this. I know that they-"

"I've said no, this is dangerous and has never been approved by the ministry before."

"We don't need to tell them sir." Headmaster Laveux turned around and fixed a condescending stare at his inferior. "Please, I've seen how these kids live, they need more teaching, and I can't let them get hurt, you know me."

Laveux's look changed from apathy to understanding and Professeur Marlow smiled.

"All I need is your OK."

"Fine, I am giving you the go ahead, but I need your word you will not hurt these kids. If what you're saying is true they have enough to worry about without this little club of yours. And I expect no talk of this outside of that group, the ministry will be furious if they discover what you are doing." Laveux turned to leave with a smile before facing Marlow again, "after today, I know nothing of your plan."

"Of course sir."

With that Headmaster Lavuex and Professeur Thomas Marlow, teacher of Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts school, turned and parted ways. Marlow walked down the stairs that lead to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom and into his office. The idea for a club like this one had been poking at him for a while, but he finally decided to act on it. He had known these students for a few years now and he knows of the darkness that follows them.

Walking into the room the lights flickered on with a wave of his apple wand and the candle beside Professeur Marlows papers burned to life.

"Barnaby, I am going to have you do something different this time around." Marlow called to his golden brown eagle-owl. The bird in question fluttered down to land on his perch just next to where Marlow had settled at his desk. Opening a drawer towards the bottom of the desk Marlow uncovered a short stack of envelopes sealed with wax and showed them to the bird.

"I need these letters delivered to a few of my students," he started, flipping through to look at the names, "but they cannot be delivered during breakfast."

The large owl cocked his head in confused understanding.

"I will need you to take these letters to the children's dorms during their free time, when they are alone. No other students are allowed to know of these letters. I have a list of when each student has free time somewhere," He muttered searching the paper covered desk, "ah-ha, here it is, starting tomorrow I will need these letters to start arriving to the students. Do you think you can manage all these before Friday?"

Barnaby puffed up his feathers in pride and Marlow took that as a yes.

"Thanks, Barny, you can go on back to bed now, no one will still be awake by now."

The large owl spread his wings and took off to a nest in the far corner of the office where he promptly fell asleep. Using the quiet to his advantage, Marlow wrote one more thing on the back of every envelope, 'Open in private'. After he completed that, he left the letters to dry, turned off the lights, and fell into deep sleep.

Hello everyone! I've had this idea in my head for a long time now and I feel now is the perfect time to try and write it, with quarantine and all. This story will follow your OCs as they join a secret club led by the DADA teacher that intends to protect them from the dark arts. The rules will also be on my profile as well as the actual submission form. As of right now this story does not have a due date for submissions, but check if that changes.
