Well if your reading this congrats and if your still reading this you can even have a medal :) I still haven't watched 2x16 and I have no idea what really even happened I've just been on Tumblr and watched a few videos on YouTube. So if everything in this oneshot is incorrect then fml. Anyways since we won't be getting any episodes for a long time thanks to covid-19 I decided to try and fill the void legacies had created just a little and make some hosie content. I tried to stay true to the characters as much as possible in this one shot (maybe more idk) so...enjoy. (also I only spell checked this once cause I'm lazy so if there are mistakes...i don't care)

Hope was tired, No she was beyond tired at this point. After defeating dark Josie and cleaning up the aftermath she was beat, and she barely got a second to rest after coming out of Josie's subconscious. So she may have snuck off back to her room while everyone was celebrating the return of Josie Saltsman, the nicest person alive.

Hope had just rounded the last corner of the hallway to her room when she paused in surprise, there waiting at her door was the brunette she was just thinking of, "Josie?" Hope couldn't help but ask, Josie looked up from the carpet she had been intently staring at a moment later, a soft smile taking over her features.

"Hope, hi." Hope couldn't help but grin, wondering what the brunette was doing at her door, "Couldn't get enough of me? We did just spend a few days in your head together." Even if it only felt like a few hours.

"Actually uh I wanted to talk about that." Josie stated, taking a step towards Hope. "Oh?" Hope couldn't help but ask, "don't Alaric or Lizzie want to spend time with you? I'm sure we can talk another time."

"No they do! T-they are." Josie stuttered, rubbing her face tiredly. "I may have made a clone version of myself to talk to them." Josie admitted, Hope couldn't help but feel impressed, clone spells were hard to create. "Because I really just want to talk to you."

Hope knew it was rude to stare, but she wasn't sure how to reply, she instantly knew what this was about. "Look Josie...I'm with Landon." Hope states wearily, she didn't want to do this right now, not when she was already so confused by her own emotions.

"Wh-what no I know I just- I know your not like that Hope, either am I for that matter no I just wanted to-" Josie rambled and hope smiled softly, why must she always be so cute?

"Oh then I'm sorry, for jumping to conclusions. It's just been a hectic few days." Hope blushed lightly, she couldn't help but look into Josie's eyes.

"Yeah it has..." Josie agreed, "actually that's why I'm here, to thank you. for saving me countless times, and Lizzie, and my dad, and everyone at the school." Josie took another step closer to Hope. "Actually while I'm at it might as well thank you for saving us over and over again, like all the time." Hope couldn't help but laugh, rolling her eyes lightly.

"Jo you don't have to thank me, I know you would do the same, that's what f-friends are for." Hope mentally cursed at how she stuttered over the word, if Josie noticed she didn't say anything about it, instead smiling softly.

"Well still, it seems fitting to thank you." This time it was Hope who stepped forward, grabbing Josie's hand she intertwined their fingers. "So...thank you."

Hope gave her a exasperated look, realizing the taller girl wasn't going to give it up. "Of course." Hope finally answered, no your welcome, no it was no problem, of course, of course she would always help Josie Saltsman.

Suddenly Hope pulled away, when did the tension between them get so thick? "I um..I'm really tired, so I think I'm going to head in for the night." Hope stated, watching Josie's face fall slightly.

"Oh...ok, goodnight Hope." Josie has just turned to walk away when Hope suddenly did something that was probably very stupid. She reached out and grabbed Josie's hand, stopping the brunette in her tracks.

"Actually do you want to sleep with me tonight? I-I mean like a sleepover, we can watch cut throat kitchen?" Hope asked, she would blame this on how tired she was tomorrow.

Josie turned to look at her, a new sort of desperation in her eyes. "Yes please. Dad and Lizzie have been hovering over me so closely, like there just waiting for me to turn back into dark Josie. Now I know how Lizzie used to feel I suppose, but I think I'll lose my mind if I spend another minute near them tonight." Hope chuckled lightly, opening her door she pulled Josie into her room, shutting the door softly behind them.

A few minutes later they were both in Pj's cuddled on the bed, watching cut throat kitchen on Hope's laptop. Hope has almost drifted off to when Josie spoke up again.

"Also I want to apologize for what I said while we were in my head, you know, when I was a pig?" Hope couldn't help but laugh, thinking back it was ridiculous and she never thought she would hear someone say that much less experience something like that.

"Hey," Hope laughed, turning to look at Josie "There's nothing like a pig telling you to kiss the girl."
