August, 1945.
The atmosphere around Japan was one of despair and toxicity. The war was lost against the might of the Allies. Two whole cities, Nagasaki and Hiroshima, wiped off the map in an instant by a new American weapon that held the power of the sun. With the end of the war, the world was in ruins save for the United States which had been untouched by the war. Japan's humiliating surrender was felt throughout the populace as people began to question the power of their Gran Emperor. Unbeknownst to the global population, the radiation released by the nuclear explosions into the atmosphere, would soon trigger a massive evolutionary jump that would change the face of mankind forever
May 1950
It had been all over the global news. Many believed it to a farce, a lie by China to scare off its enemies. A glowing child, literally a glowing child, shining bright with bright yellow light. There was no explanation nor known medical condition that could cause it. Upon biopsy examination, the child was found to have powerful bioluminescent skin cells across its entire body. A phenomena that had never been seen in humans or any primates for that matter. At first thought to be an isolated incident, soon more and more children appeared wielding unnatural traits. A child in England was born with bones of literal iron, in the Soviet Union a child born with sharp horns, in Mexico, a child that could shoot small streams of water from their fingertips. On the verge of a Third World War, the superpowers of the world came together to research the phenomenon. One hundred children from across the globe were taken to research centers where scientists ran multiple tests on their body. Each child was unique with their abilities. When exposed to a dosimeter, a machine used to measure radiation, each child caused the dosimeter to rise high enough to notice a change but not enough to cause harm to anyone around it. Soon the 100 children turned to a 1000, then 10,000, then a million, soon entire cities were filled with people who had superhuman abilities. These abilities were coined by the international community as Quirks.

"Come on Mozuki wake up!" A small boy named Kibashi cried. He was nine years old and sported long green hair. His younger brother, Mozuki, also sported the same green hair and was seven years of age. Mozuki had become ill and was currently lying in a hospital bed awaiting diagnosis. His parents Itiski and Itami sat in the room devastated by their youngest child's condition.
"Mama, why won't Mozuki wake up?" Kibashi cried.
"He's sick." Itami said full of worry but wanted to keep a brave face for her child. "The doctor will make him all better don't worry." As she said that, the door opened as a doctor entered the room with a grim look on his face.
"From what samples we have and tests we have run, I'm sorry to say that your son has Multiple Sclerosis, it's a disease of the nervous system in which the myelin sheaths are damaged causing an array of problems." The doctor said.
"Like what?" Itsiki asked fearfully.
"Symptoms and complications include motor control issues, his coordination will be affected meaning it's likely he will never be able to engage in any high physical activity. His muscles will be severely weakened and he may lose his vision in one of his eyes. This can also bring an array of physiological issues as well. This will make his life complicated but he will live." The doctor continued as his parents let out a cry of relief.
"However, I am much more concerned about the complications that can arise, his immune system is compromised meaning he will be much more susceptible to infections like Influenza and Tuberculosis. Should he become sick with a disease as dangerous as these, his outlook is grim. He needs to be kept in a clean environment and should avoid any type of dirty environment such as garbage dumps or sewer pipes." The doctor explained. "I'm sorry."
"Thank you, I'm just glad he'll live." Itami said sniffling as she held Kibashi in her lap. Kibashi hopped off and walked over to his sleeping brother and held his hand.
"I'll make you better Mozuki, I promise big brother will make you better.
November 1975
Over the last few years, Kibashi and Mozuki showed no signs of any quirk development. It was a relatively rare phenomena at this stage with only 1 in 10 children being born with one and most were simple mutations or rarely a powerful enhancer. This caused problems as people would use their quirks to commit crime.
"Kibashi?" Itami called out as she walked over with her purse. "Can you go to the corner store and buy some milk? »
"Yes mama." Kibashi said as his mother gave him several bills.
"I wanna come too!" Mozuki called out. His thin and bony body paying testament to the disease that plagued him.
"No Zuki." Itami said.
"But wwwwhhhhhhyyyyy?" Mozuki complained. He hated being stuck in bed all day! He wanted to go explore the world.
"You know why, you are sick and if you aren't careful you could die!" Itami called back. It was flu season after all and they all had to take extra precautions to make sure Mozuki didn't get infected.
"I'll be right back." Kibashi said as he walked out and made his way to the corner store. He entered and got a large jug of milk and brought it to the counter to pay for it. Once he had completed the transaction he walked back outside. It was nice out today, a cool and crisp fall day, Winter would arrive soon. Kibashi turned down an alleyway to take a shortcut home. As he was walking a large man exited from behind a dumpster. Kibashi stopped walking, being fourteen years old, he knew now he could fight back if needed but this was a big guy, and he might have a quirk.
"Alright kiddo." The man said as a small fireball came out from his hand. "I think you know how this works, give me all your money and you can walk away scot free."
"I-I don't have any money! I spent it on this milk!" Kibashi said, hugging the milk jug. He needed it for Mozuki who needed it as a special drink to help build his bones and fight off infections.
"Well then I'll cut you some slack cause you're a kid, just hand me that milk." The man said.
"No! My brother is sick! He needs this!" Kibashi protested. He promised Mozuki that he would help make him all better!
"I don't much care! GIVE IT!" The man yelled, shooting the fireball at Kibashi who jumped to the side to avoid it. In doing so he dropped the milk jug which shattered on the ground.
"NO!" Kibashi cried! His brother needed that!
"You little brat!" The man said as he punched Kibashi in the face. Kibashi was not very strong as the man began to choke him. Kibashi wasn't strong enough to pull the man's hands off and felt his air depleting as he reached up to try to push the man's eyes in. That would get him off! As soon as he made contact on the man's head he started yelling as a buzzing feeling shot through Kibashis body. The man jumped back and clutched his head as Kibashi got back up. He felt different, like a new organ had appeared.
"Rgrgrhhhh!" The man yelled as he tried to shoot another fireball only to find nothing happened. He gasped as he tried again and again to no avail. The surging feeling in his hands was gone as he looked back to Kibashi.
"What did you do!" The man asked as Kibashis hands lit up into fire. Kibashis yelled seeing his hands on fire but noticed he felt no pain, the fire wasn't hurting him! He looked back up at the man who was now shooting daggers at him.
"Y-you stole it!" He said, pulling out a knife. "YOU STOLE MY QUIRK!" The man charged at him as Kibashi reacted immediately by shooting the flames from his hands. The man screamed as he was engulfed in hot flames and slowly but surely incinerated down to his last cell.
"N-no! OH NO!" Kibashi cried! He didn't mean to kill him!
"No no I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!" He thought. Was he gonna go to jail now? Was he a murderer now? He looked at his hands shaking as he ran back home. He didn't stop running until he came to his door and immediately opened and slammed before stopping to catch his breath.
"Kibashi?" His mother asked, coming around the corner. "Why are you so out of breath? And where is the milk?"
"I-I'm sorry!" Kibashi said quickly coming up with a lie. "I ran back to get it here and I dropped it!"
"Kibashi! You know you're brother needed that!" His mother scolded. "We can't spend money like this understand?" She said as she reached into her purse again and pulled out more money. "Go and get another jug and please be careful this time!"
"Yes mom." Kibashi said as he took the money and walked out the door again. He stopped as he looked at his hands as they lit up again. The man said he stole his quirk, Kibashi was quirkless, unless….
He could take other people's quirks
"If I can find a healing quirk! Maybe I can take it and heal Mozuki!" He thought as a plan formed in his head. "I need it to help him get better, I promised him!"
January 1976.
Kibashi has gone out every night in search of people with quirks. It was hard to spot them though, most people didn't use them in public unless it was self defense. As such, he decided to go to the more, unsafe parts of town to find what he needed. Despite initially only wanting a healing quirk for his brother, Kibashi found that when he saw a quirk that piqued his interest, he couldn't help but take it. He had taken a strength enhancer, fireballs, a speed enhancer, and a hypertrophy quirk. He had yet to tell his family or anyone else for that matter about his quirk.
"Stop!" A woman cried as she hit the ground hard. She looked up to see a masked man with bulging arms and fireballs at his hands.
"Answer my question! Do you have a quirk!" The man asked.
"Y-yes!" She cried as she extended her fingers. "That's all it is I swear!"
"Hmph, not what I needed." Kibashi said. He looked back at the scared woman, he had to be careful. The police were onto him now, word of a masked criminal who could steal quirks had spread like wildfire and instill fear in the community. He decided that since she was unaware he could take quirks, there'd be nothing to tie him to this attack.
"Leave, and tell no one of This!" Kibashi commanded. "Or I will find you and burn you!"
"AAAHHHH!" The woman cried as she ran away. Kibashi sat in frustration! Surely there had to be some sort of healing quirk out there? Maybe it didn't exist? Maybe something like that was just fantasy?
No!
Just thirty years ago, the idea of people having superpowers in general was purely something found in comic books, now it was real life. He just had to extend his search.
May 1985
Kibashi held his arm around his brother as they watched two caskets lowered into the ground. Their parents had been murdered by a man with a blade quirk. This left the 24 year old Kibashi and the 22 year old still sick Mozuki on their own. Their parents had willed the house to them so they at least had somewhere to stay. Mozuki wasn't able to work so Kibashi took up a job at a local fish market to support him and his brother. The world was starting to descend into chaos and more and more quirks appeared. Criminals were rampant using their quirks to overpower police and law and order was on the brink of collapse. Mass protests called for the imprisonment and extermination all quirked individuals. Kibashi sighed after a long day at work as he entered the house with groceries. Mozuki slowly and weakly walked up to help, he used braces and canes to help him get around.
"Here." Mozuki said, taking one of the bags.
"Careful! Don't want you eating shit again." Kibashi chuckled.
"Piss off bro." Mozuki responded smiling. "Hey Kibi."
"Yeah?"
"I think I should get a job too." Mozuki said. "It's not fair you have to work all day to support us while I sit at home and do nothing."
"Ugh Zuki you know why you can't-" Kibashi tried to say tired of this argument for the thousandth time.
"I know! I know! I'm not talking construction or military service, something light, maybe a desk job? Or possibly work from home?" Mozuki suggested. He lived a very boring life, due to his illness he was homeschooled and had no other friends beside his brother. "Look man, I'm just, this isn't living what I'm doing, I've never been more than five miles away from this house. I want to have meaning in my life! If this is what I'm doomed to do for the rest of my life then I'd rather be dead!"
"Don't say that!" Kibashi said slamming his hands on the table. He then sighed, "Look, I know you weren't given a good hand in life, I get you want to get out there and explore but you are all I have left."
"Kibashi this is killing you working all these hours to make ends meet. You haven't had a day off in months! I get that I'm sick but I'm not completely helpless! I just want to help! Something! Like Superman or Batman! I just want to help!" Mozuki said, referring to his favorite American comic book heroes.
"Okay." Kibashi said. "Give me one month, they might be able to find something that can cure you. If not, I promise we'll get you a job and out of the house."
"Promise or not, I'll find a way to kick your ass to get outta here." Mozuki laughed. "It's a deal!"
"Good, now help me get started on dinner." Kibashi said. "I have one month to find him a healing quirk, looks like I won't be getting much sleep."
Xxxx
Kibashi was exhausted, working eight hours, spending four hours a day hunting for a healing quirk, taking care of his brother, and other daily routines resulted in him only sleeping a few hours each night. The lack of sleep and desperation to help his brother drove Kibashi to be much more bold and cruel in his ways of helping his brother. He had killed more, stolen more quirks than he needed. The multitude of quirks he had helped him from being identified by witnesses or police. It was taking a toll on his mental state, killing became as easy as breathing for him. Stealing quirks no longer bothered him despite the post parting desperation which often led to suicide of the victims. At the end of the one month time frame, he went out one last time.
"I promised him, I have to find this quirk tonight!" Kibashi said as he roamed the ghetto area. He had mastered the art of displaying himself as an easy target to draw out robbers and serial killers. He walked all night and not a single peep, he figured his reputation had scared the criminals into hiding. He smacked his head in frustration! As he began to walk away he saw someone approaching him.
"Excuse me sir?" The man asked. Kibashi quickly covered his face using the cover of darkness to hide his obviously suspicious action. "Hey I'm lost can you-" The man was lifted off the ground with a strong hand around his neck. Kibashi figured this was his last chance and couldn't afford to pass it up.
"What is your quirk?" He asked using a voice altering quirk to hide his voice. The man struggled as Kibashi heard a humming sound. He then found himself launched back a hundred feet and crashed into a dumpster leaving a sizeable dent in it.
"Fuck!" He thought as he slowly got up. That blow was powerful.
"What the hell man?" The man yelled massaging his throat. "I just wanted directions!" The man, due to his obviously powerful quirk, felt confident in his ability to protect himself and chose not to run.
"That's a fine quirk you have there." Kibashi said standing back up. "Mind telling me what it is?"
"What's it you huh? It's just a strength one is all!" The man yelled back
"That was no simple strength enhancer, that felt like a hundred blows at one." Kibashi pondered. Perhaps this quirk, with its great physical power, could give Mozuki the strength he needed to finally live a normal life. Yes yes! It might even boost his immune system! Yes! Finally! This was the quirk he was looking for!
"Get back!" The man warned. "I swear I'll aim to kill on the next one!" Kibashi wasted no time in using all his quirks to charge the man and quickly put his hand on his head. The man let out the all familiar scream of his quirk being stolen. Kibashi felt tremendous power flowing through his body. He could feel limitless energy! Perfect! His brother would finally be cured!
"Uh uh! What did you do to me?" The man cried feeling weak and exhausted. Kibashi merely looked at him before using his flame quirk to incinerate the man from existence. Leaving no evidence behind what happened. He walked home smiling knowing the promise he made his baby brother years ago would finally come true.

"Kibashi! Where were you?" Mozuki asked. "Work called saying if you did a no show again then you'd be fired!"
"Don't worry, everything will be good now." Kibashi said. Mozuki noticed his brothers good mood and was curious.
"You out drinking or something? It's scary seeing you so happy." He joked.
"Mozuki, I have really good news for you." Kibashi said. "I can cure you."
"Well Kibashi Midoriya M.D! Ain't that something?" Mozuki laughed.
"I'm serious." Kibashi said. "Do you remember how we were quirkless?"
"Yeah, why?" Mozuki asked.
"I wasn't." Kibashi said, shocking his brother.
"Y-you mean y-you have power?" Mozuki asked, shocked. "Bro that's awesome! But why didn't you say something before?"
"I didn't discover it till recently." Kibashi said. "The nature of it made it unknown to me till the perfect circumstances arose." Mozukis jaw dropped as fireballs came from his brother's hands.
"That's cool and all but, if you're gonna roast me medium well I don't see how that'll cure me." Mozuki joked.
"I have more than one." Kibashi said. Mozuki almost peed himself.
"W-what?" He asked. Multi Quirks were unheard of, no one had been observed as having more than one quirk since the appeared decades ago.
"My quirk, I don't know how it works or what to even call it. But I can take the quirks of others and use them or I can transfer quirks to others." Kibashi explained. "I have this quirk in me now, I don't know what it is, but it'll make you strong! You can run! Go outside! It might even boost your immune system! This was the promise I made to you!" Kibashi declared jubilantly, expecting to see his brother jump with joy. He was shocked to see him frowning.
"Kibi." Mozuki said sadly. "You're him aren't you? The one who's been killing people and taking their quirks?" Kibashis smile quickly turned to a scared frown. Damn it! He had been so excited about curing his brother he completely forgot he was a wanted suspect!
"Mozuki!" Kibashi said. "The people, I took from, were criminal scumbags, their lives meant nothing!"
"I refuse." Mozuki said catching Kibashi off guard.
"I beg your pardon?" Kibashi asked, appalled.
"This quirk you stole to heal me, I refuse to take it." Mozuki said firmly, causing rage to fill Kibashi. "I want to be healthy again, but if this is what the cost was, you to go down this dark path, I'd rather be sick my whole life. You're my brother and I love you, I know you just wanted to help me but killing and stealing is wrong! No matter what!" Mozuki has always had a fierce sense of justice, he refused to ever kill even an ant.
"Do you….." Kibashi growled. "Have any fucking idea… what I endured to get this for you?!"
"Yes, you're not a killer, you're my big brother. Which is why I won't accept that quirk, you're better than this, use your powers for good! Use them to save people!" Mozuki cried out.
"SAVE PEOPLE? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK I DID ALL THIS FOR? IT WAS TO SAVE YOUR WORTHLESS ASS!" Kibashi screamed. He couldn't believe this! All his hard work and sacrifice to help his little brother and this was how he repaid him?!
"MY LIFE ISN'T WORTH MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE'S!" Mozuki replied. That quirk had blood on it, he couldn't take it! "YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE SOMEONES QUIRK! YOU CAN'T JUST KILL THEM! ITS WRONG!"
"You're going to take this quirk!" Kibashi screamed, punching Mozuki in the face. "WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" Kibashi forced his hand into Mozukis forehead. Mozuki struggled but his weak body was powerless. He screamed as he felt a foreign feeling surge through his veins. Once it was over he fell off his bed as Kibashi stood hyperventilating from his rageful bout. Mozuki felt strength he never had as he slowly stood up on his own. Had the circumstances been different, he would have cried tears of joy, now only tears of sorrow stung his eyes.
"Have I? Lost you?" Mozuki cried. Kibashi grunted.
"Youre too naive to understand how the world works! Do you see what's it's like out there? It's chaos! People with quirks causing damage! The quirkless panicking, society about to collapse! This is for a noble cause! I see that now! I will bring order! Maybe the world will be more grateful to me then you!"
"Do you even hear yourself right now!?" Mozuki said back in such mental pain seeing what his brother had become. "You are not a god, I won't let you go down this dark path any longer! I will save you from yourself!"
"Perhaps you'll understand one day." Kibashi said slamming his brother into the ground. Mozuki screamed from the powerful hit. "Now, how about you go get that job you were talking about? I'm leaving here for good!" Kibashi said, walking out. Mozuki tearfully looked at his brother who walked away.
"Kibi…" He whined holding his hand out.
April 1976.
Kibashi did as he said he would do. He stole more quirks and killed more. The power having gone to his head. He went around promising quirks to those who would help and had developed a large army. People were terrified of him, his disregard for human life and his power made the world now to him. Mozuki spent the year training, building up the muscle and endurance his body previously didn't allow. Now he was here, to face his brother, to end this madness….
"So you have returned." Kibashi said looking down at his brother. He looked so different now, strong muscles bulging across his body.
"It's not too late Kibi, stop this now and come home!" Mozuki responded.
"Are you going to fight me little brother?" Kibashi asked.
"I will honor the great man you once were, my big brother, who was my hero." Mozuki said. "And I will stop your madness here and now!" Kibashi grinned as the two brothers charged at each other and initiated a battle with power never before seen in history.

Mozuki wheezed as he lie bloodied and dying on the ground. He never imagined his brother could be that strong.
"It didn't have to be this way." Kibashi said, finally showing his brother compassion.
"You didn't give me a choice, the day you killed for the first time, made that reality impossible." Mozuki coughed.
"We could have ruled together, side by side. I wanted you at my side." Kibashi said.
"Y-yeah m-me t-too." Mozuki said. "I wanted you by my side, as we grew old, got married to a beautiful wife, had kids, and experience all the beauties of life together. I wanted my hero big brother to be at my side as we sailed through life together, not like this though." Kibashi allowed one final tear to shed before shredding his humanity completely as he simply turned and walked away to leave his brother to die. Mozukis breathing became labored, the entire battlefield was full of fire and debris. This was it, he failed to stop his brother.
"Hold on!" Mozuki turned his head to see someone lifting debris to come get him. Was it? A child?
"N-no!" He said weakly not wanting the child to be put in danger. The child walked up to him as she morphed into an adult. She went up to him and gently grabbed him.
"Are you okay?" She asked. Mozuki felt touched, she risked her life to come help him. A true heroic spirit.
"No." Mozuki said. He knew his wounds were fatal. "I'm not gonna make it."
"No! You will!" She cried. "I saw you fighting that monster! You tried to stop him so I'll save you now!"
"He wasn't a-always a m-monster. M-my brother…." Mozuki said sadly remembering those happier days. "All of this is because of me, he became this because I was sick and he wanted to heal me."
"It's not your fault sir!" The woman cried.
"I failed to stop him! Even with this powerful quirk!" Mozuki said as an idea formed in his head. Maybe he wasn't quirkless to begin with, if his brother could take quirks, then maybe he could give them…. "Ma'am." Mozuki said, touching her face gently. Some of his blood on his finger went into her mouth. Not enough to be noticed, but enough to do the deed. She swallowed it unknowingly as Mozuki sighed peacefully.
"What did you do?" She asked feeling a powerful energy course through her.
"It worked…. good." Mozuki smiled. "I have you my quirk, it can stockpile energy, and be transferred willingly. Please promise me, you'll defeat my brother."
"But why me?" She asked.
"Because, you came to rescue me, your heart is pure, a hero, like Superman." Mozuki smiles gently. "You deserve it."
"Sir I-" The lady said. "What even is this quirk?"
"This quirk?" Mozuki asked, feeling his heart coming to a permanent stop. "This quirk, which could be given, which would bring hope to all, one quirk, for the peace of all, It's name is One for All!" Mozuki said as he finally passed away.

Kibashi walked into a large room where multiple gang members were drinking and fighting, using their quirks to get and edge over the other and win. Kibashi simply flicked the doors as they blew off. The crowd went silent as he walked in, the only sound behind his footsteps.
"Who the hell are y-" The boss said as a blade pierced his neck, killing him instantly. The gang members watched in shock as their boss, the toughest guy they knew, fell to the ground dead.
"I am the new leader here." Kibashi said. The other gang members quickly turned to him and bowed their heads out of fear for his power.
"Ugh s-sure thing b-boss!" One of them spoke nervously. "W-what's y-your name?"
"My name?" Kibashi asked. "Kibashi Midoriya- wait no, that weakling is dead now." Kibashi let out a twisted smile as he looked at the crowd.
"You can call me,
All For One."
Present Day.
All For One frowned at the memory of his ungrateful little brother. If only he could have seen the bigger picture. He stood idly in Kamino Ward which was now leveled. He never anticipated passing on the power of the quirk he created. It had come back to bite him as he growled under his mask which he relied on to breathe. He then sensed an approaching figure using his infrared quirk.
"Ah, there you are!" He said as the raging form of All Might charged towards him.
