Genryusai Uzumaki was a very old Shinobi; he is concurrently the longest serving clan head in Uzumaki Clan history. He was a very powerful man who brought fear to many of the Great Hidden Villages, but those thoughts brought himself great despair. He wanted to be remembered as the man that Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha chose to be the mediator to the peace conference and eventually led the creation of the Shinobi villages. Ending eons of bloodshed between feuding clans meant nothing to the common people and ninjas, because eventually a new kind of bloody warfare was waged. Great Shinobi Wars brought a long period of heavy combat when compared to when two opposing clans fought over blood feuds. The Second Great Shinobi War was the most recent of those conflicts and led to the deaths of thousands of ninja, though the only one that mattered to the Uzumaki clan head was that of his cousin Tobirama Senju. Although the Uzumaki themselves were not a part of the conflict and only sent aid to Konohagakure in the form of their seals it greatly worried Genryusai, because he knew next time he and his clan couldn't sit the next conflict out. Genryusai spent many years of the war contemplating this predicament and drew some conclusions. While he and his clan were greatly feared because of their seals the Uzumaki were still not a large enough clan to fight in prolonged warfare, with Genryusai himself estimating that a decisive battle wiping them out before their allies, Konohagakure, could send a quick reaction force could be mounted and sent out. Many solutions to this problem could be implemented, but were too time consuming to be put into place before the sword was pointed at the Uzumakis. He confided his thoughts to his counterpart in Konoha, the Niidaime Hokage, Tobirama Senju, and it was Tobirama himself who put into place such a tempting offer that Genryusai himself could never decline. Tobirama offered to father a child with an Uzumaki woman so that the Uzumakis will have a chance to have someone who was as feared as himself to dissuade any would be attackers. Naturally, as soon as the offer was raised it was quickly accepted and an Uzumaki woman, Kimko Uzumaki, was well on her way to Konoha for the agreement to be fulfilled, and fatefully a week after fulfilling the agreement Tobirama and his personal squad was ambushed by the Kinkaku and Ginkaku division of Kumo's elite anbu forces.
Presently, Kimko was soon expected to go into labor with her son, Isamu Senju, the boy that her clan had bet their hopes on.
I know, it's not that long but the purpose of this chapter is to set the stage for the story. I hope my grammar was not too bad; I'll get better at writing as this story progresses. I do have an idea of the pairing but I'm also open to suggestions. The time table for this story is from pre-Third Shinobi war to the Kyuubi attack, so keep that in mind for when you suggest.
