The introduction of a series.

They are known by many names. Angels of Death. The God-Emperor's Chosen. The Adeptus Astartes.

Space Marines.

No matter their title, the deeds performed by these legions are spoken of as legend. Magnificent and bloody exploits, soldiers who heroically slaughter unbelievers for some sacrilege or another. The great fist of the Imperium spans galaxies. But that is a lot of space to cover and a lot of men needed to cover it.

Thus, it should come as no surprise that certain Chapters tend to outshine the rest. Only battles fought with the highest stakes get the fame. Only truly pathetic defeats or inconceivable victories turn the heads of the masses.

No one cares for mediocrity. No one cares about the Chapters who—in comparison to their brothers—simply exist. Depressing, is it not, that the ones who exist outnumber the ones who do so extraordinarily? Chapters will and have been forgotten because they simply did their duty; nothing more and nothing less. So many stories left unsung because they are unremarkable.

To the ones who exist, though, those tales are not forgettable. Not disposable or unimportant or boring. They are memories, woven into a tapestry of being. Those men think, feel, live, and die, just like their celebrated and glorified hero counterparts. Their struggles may be petty and their names never know fame, but they are the ones who exist and their stories will be heard.

So here. Know the names and the colors and the scars of those the Imperium has forgotten.

Know the Successor Chapters.
