They call this world Thedas.
It's a land of dragons, demons, blood and death. So much death.
I wasn't always here. Once I lived a whole world away and not to say that world didn't have its share of death, but it just wasn't as noticeable as here. It was distant.
I remember leaving my home that day with my schoolbag. I kissed my mom's cheek, pet Buyo, said by to Sota and grandpa and finally dashed down the stairs to meet with my friends. I was all so very mundane until it wasn't.
Ever heard those stories? You know the ones where people disappear on their way home and they're just never found? I can only guess that I became one of those. A girl with a name on a poster in the news and after a great deal of time passes, declared dead.
I guess I had my fair share of adventures in my own world. Time was never a constraint on my life like it was for others. One moment I'm in the present and in the next I'm in a whole new era. Most of my high school years were spent jumping between times and traveling the country with my friends. Maybe I was the most prepared for this because of those journeys but who really is ever prepared to know they can never go home. I wasn't.
Those adventures. Those people. The places. Nothing could have ever prepared me for the flash of green. The rolling stomach and the plunge down. Nothing.
This is going to be a rewrite or an attempt at a rewrite. I'm not sure where exactly it's going to go but for now this little prolog is out of the way. Let me know if you guys think it's a good idea and I should keep going. It might just be a series of journal entries of it could be a full fledge story (That I hopefully finish, cause I'm horrible at keeping a schedule.) Oh, I'm also finally writing on a computer so that will hopefully help with mistakes, but I make no promises! Any way let me know if you guys prefer the journal thing or more of a third/first person perspective type of story.
