For the entirety of the school year she's been playing with his mind, slowly unraveling his sanity until there was nothing left. Monika drove Sayori to suicide. Convinced Yuri to stab herself with a knife right in front of him. Simply deleted Natsuki with little hesitancy.

She was a monster, Leon knew. Could she be stopped? Only one way to find out. Monika may have deleted his parents, but she forgot about their belongings. Leon pries open his father's closet and opens the chest, pulling out a "New Nambu" M60. "Three in the chamber. Only three chances to end this." He murmured to himself.

The loud sounds of a knuckle meeting the wood of his front door took his attention, he dared not answer it for he knew it was the wicked witch herself. "Leon!" She calls to him sweetly from the outside. "Oh, Leon won't you be a dear and let me in."

The last time he let Monika in she killed his parents because they were moving back to the United States.

There was a time and place to end this, and it wasn't now. It needed to end right where his friends stood, inside the school.

The next day, Leon woke up bright and early as if it was the typical morning before school. Strangely, the bus didn't come by at it's expected time. Leon walked three miles in the chilly October weather. The sky changes color from light blue, to dark orange, to even blood red at times, it began to give Leon a massive migraine.

Inside the halls there was not any sight of anyone roaming the floor. Only Monika stood at her locker going through the motions. "Leon, you better hurry up. Ms. Kawaye doesn't like it when you're late." She wags her finger at him so innocently, Leon nods. Opening his locker he saw crude drawings of Sayori's limp body hanging in her room. To add insult to injury, the very rope Sayori used to do the deed laid neatly on the top-shelf, her dried up blood smeared on the aptly named "hangman's knot" side of the rope. Leon's blood boiled, he turned to Monika only to see her not there.

He joins Monika in home room, she sits neatly in her chair, scribbling poems. "Monika." Her green eyes peer up at Leon, showing her the small revolver in the palm of his hand pointed right at her head. She didn't seem troubled in the slightest.

"That a stage prop?" She pretended not to know.

"No, Monika. It's real." Leon promised her. "I have three bullets in this gun, each of them is intended for you."

"Oh?" Monika remained calm, even coming across cute to the distressed Leon. "You think you can do it?"

"I know I can." Even as he said this his hand trembles. Paralyzed by rage, and the thought of murdering another human being (he wasn't sure if Monika was 100 percent human), half of him said this wasn't the correct course of action. "It's too late to turn back."

"It's too late to save your friends." She jeered, causing Leon to experience a rush in adrenaline and shoot Monika square in the chest. She falls backwards out of her chair, clutching her gushing wound. She does not wimpier, however.

"All you've done to me, the mind games all for what?" He denounced her, with a fire in his eye and a heart beating an extra beat. "You're a strange woman, Monika. You could have had any man you wanted. You killed your best friends, believing it would get me to like you and when that didn't work killed my parents!" Monika didn't say anything, the life inside her was slowly fading out.

"I guess, your heart really spoke to you." His eyes widened when he heard clapping right behind him. It was none other than Monika, standing tall as if nothing happened.

"Very good, fantastic acting." She gave him a soft nudge on the chin. Leon was befuddled, and attempted to shoot again.

"That won't be necessary, Leon. You and I both know it is useless. I've ran this simulation hundreds of times, have not found the route that leads me to your heart, but I'm sure if we restart from the beginning we'll figure it out." Monika sounded so comforting, it actively disarmed Leon for a moment before he pushed her away and shot the last two bullets into her head.

She did not fall. She did not die. The bullets roared through her. She didn't say anything, only smiled at what she perceived to be a misbehaving boy. Leon didn't say anything, he fell to the floor crying at Monika's feet begging her to end the torment. She gently runs her fingers through his black hair.

"Soon, everyone will be happy." She says warmly.
