3,000 years ago, there once existed a group of magic-users called sorcerers. They differed from witches in many ways. They were not bound by the laws of nature and were pleased to do as they wished.

They could use the elements and could do a great many things.

There were High Priestesses who were the chief servants of the Triple Goddess. They were a group of highly skilled and powerful sorceresses, mistresses of magic and spells and detained the power over life and death.

There were Druids who were peaceful and secretive people who worship nature. They generally use magic for good, but some choose to abandon their pacifist teachings and become renegade, usually in response to years of oppression and persecution that came in the form of Uther Pendragon.

There were Seers who were People who have the ability to see the future in dreams or visions.

There were also Dragonlords who were Men who had the ability to speak in Dragon Tongue and tame or command their spiritual brothers, the Dragons. They were almost entirely wiped out during the Great Purge; Only one survived.

However, one thing to note is that these sorcerers were not born with their own magic like the witches of the modern age. Instead, they practiced the old magicks and gained powers as they learned. With the exception of Dragonlords and Seers.

Although there was one sorcerer that was born with his magic. He was called a Warlock.

There had been a time where sorcerers and humans lived peacefully together. However, that changed when Uther Pendragon, the previous king of the kingdom of Camelot, messed with magic he did not understand, in search of an heir.

He called upon a High Priestess to give him a son as his wife was unable to bear children.

However, the king had not known that in order for life to be created, a life must be taken to keep the balance. So when the king's son was born, his wife died in the exchange.

The king, devastated by grief, turned on all magic users and outlawed magic from his kingdom.

And so the Great Purge began.

Sorcerers were forced to go into hiding or forsake their magic. If they did not and were found guilty of using magic, they were executed.

The magic users turned on the crown and tried to kill the king in the hope that things would change if the cruel king was gone.

Although none succeeded.

And over 2 decades later, as the crown prince grew, a young warlock came to Camelot. A part of a great destiny, that he could not understand.

This young man's name was Merlin.

This man also had another name, one that was given to him by magic itself.

Emrys

His destiny aligned with the prince, and the young warlock was meant to protect the prince from anyone who wished him harm and to forge him into a great king.

He was also meant to help forge the way for Albion to return.

As once before, long ago, the land of Albion had been united in an age of peace, during which all of its inhabitants followed the Old Religion. However, around the reign of Uther Pendragon, followers of the Old Religion were rare in Albion, and magic was banned from Camelot.

During this time of division and hostility, Kilgharrah, the Great Dragon, prophesied that together, Merlin and King Arthur would reunite all the kingdoms of the land back into Albion, and revive the Old Religion to coexist in peace with the New Religion.

Kilgharrah was a mighty and ancient dragon who was imprisoned and chained in a cave beneath Camelot by Uther Pendragon at the end of the Great Purge, where he was left for over 20 years. He was said to be more than a thousand years old. He became Merlin's mentor, friend, and spiritual brother.

When Kilgharrah first met Merlin, he told him of the prophecy regarding his hand in uniting the land of Albion with Uther's son, Arthur Pendragon, the once and future king. Kilgharrah acted as a magical guide where Gaius' counsel would fail. Gaius was the court physician of Camelot and was Merlin's teacher, and father figure.

Merlin later reluctantly repaid his great debt by freeing Kilgharrah when he had to acquit himself of a promise, being aware of the very possibility that Kilgharrah would seek revenge and attack Camelot.

The dragon then turned on Camelot in a fit of vengeance, seeking Uther's demise. He was eventually calmed by Merlin, who had taken on the powers of a Dragonlord with the death of his father and was about to kill him.

However, though Merlin spared but banished Kilgharrah, the Great Dragon continued to aid Merlin during his adventures and played an essential role in the events that led to the Battle of Camlann.

As the bond between servant and prince strengthened, enemies rose to destroy the great kingdom. And Merlin grew far more powerful, as he learned who and what he truly was.

When the monstrous king fell, sorcerers everywhere rejoiced as Arthur Pendragon took the throne.

As they believed the prophecy of Albion was coming to pass.

However, the witch Morgana, half-sister to the last Pendragon deemed her brother unfit to be the ruler of Camelot. And tried to take the throne.

And the war between Morgana and Arthur began. Many fell in this war, and a young druid whose life was saved by Arthur Pendragon years before when he was just a child returned to Camelot.

However, Merlin knew of a prophecy that the druid, Mordred, was meant to be the death of the once and future king. And feared the boy and what he meant.

The druid stood by the king against Morgana, when he fell in love with a sorceress who was planning to assassinate the king but was captured before she could. Mordred felt betrayed by the king when the sorceress was executed and turned to Morgana's side.

And the final battle drew near.

When the time finally came, Mordred struck Arthur Pendragon with a sword that was forged in a dragon's breath.

Merlin rushed to his side and tried to save the king by trying to bring him to the Isle of the Blessed. However, the king died before they could reach the Isle.

Although, the Great Dragon did not believe he was truly gone as he parted with these last words to Merlin.

"Though no man, no matter how great, can know his destiny, some lives have been foretold, Merlin. Arthur is not just a king. He is the once and future king. Take heart, for when Albion's need is greatest...Arthur will rise again. It has been a privilege to have known you, young warlock. The story we have been a part of will live long in the minds of men."

And so the most powerful sorcerer to ever be born awaits in the shadows for his friend to return.

However, something rises in the darkness and the magic users of the past were wiped from existence by an unknown force.

Not long after was the birth of beings of a new type of magic, known as witches, as magic tried to fix the balance that had been broken.

And to many, a time of sorcerers, of a kingdom of Camelot, of King Arthur Pendragon, of Merlin became a myth.

A legend

However, unknown to many, a young but extremely powerful High Priestess, daughter of Morgana Pendragon. The girl was the second person ever born with their own magic.

And she had her mother's seer powers as well, which allowed her to see the extinction of her kind coming.

So she gave up her life to create an amulet that would hold her powers within.

As she knew that one day, someone who was deemed worthy, would unlock the powers of the amulet, and the return of the sorcerers would come.

She told a friend to lock the stone away in a cave protected by magic before she died.

And there, the Amulet would lay untouched for three millennials.

The Necromancer stood in a dark room, searching through ancient texts, for any information of the location of a lost relic.

He was full of black magic but he needed more power if his plan was going to work. And when he had absorbed the black magic, he had a vision of an artifact that held untold power.

However, he had no clue where to look.

His best chance was to search through books from over a thousand years ago that was preserved through magic.

So far the only thing he had found was mention of some type of amulet in a legend that was said it held powers long lost.

And he was searching for any other mentions of it because it was the most likely thing. After all, truth is rooted in legend.

However, any information he found was scarce and was likely not connected. It appeared to him that whatever this thing is, it was from farther back than a millennial.

He considered giving up on the artifact, but the black magic seemed to urge him to find it before…

Before what?

It wouldn't tell him.

Something was going to happen if he did not find it. Something that could cause him to fail but what?

He was the all-powerful Necromancer, he could not fail.

He was reaching for a new book when a vision flashed in his mind.

A blonde hair man stood strong. He was wearing chained armor and had a sword that seemed to radiate magic in his hand. On the front of the armor was a crest.

A dragon…

He seemed to be staring into the distance when he changed. His whole body seemed to shimmer as it took a new form. His short blonde hair was now long and was paler rather than the previous golden color.

He still stood tall, but his clothing changed. Turning from armor to clothing of today. Revealing a more feminine body.

And he was no longer a man in his early 30's but now a teenager.

His shoulders no longer were as broad. However, the sword stayed, resting comfortably in his hand.

The man, now a girl, turned towards him. Blue eyes searching. She stared at him and the Necromancer stared right back.

When the Necromancer tried to remember where he had seen her before, the figures form began to shift back and forth between the man and the girl.

The person opened their mouth to speak.

"Who am I?"

The Necromancer took a deep breath as he came back to himself.

He recognized the girl, but whenever he tried to picture the girl again, the image seemed to escape his grasp.

Who was she? Who was the man? Why did the person go between the two different people?

Or are they the same person? Is it a new monster? Or something else? Why did the black magic show him that?

These questions echoed through his mind, searching for an answer that he didn't have. It was obvious to him that it was important. But the 'how' was escaping him.

He put the facts together. The man was clearly not from this time. A knight, perhaps, based on the armor and sword. However, he did not recognize the crest from anywhere.

The girl appeared to be from modern times and was a teenager. She was also familiar to him somehow.

Now the question was, why did they shift from one to the other?

They could be the same person, but why would someone from possibly the middle ages be the same person as someone from the modern days.

Past life? Reincarnation? But why would they go between each other if it a past life?

It could be a monster with two faces. But why would they ask who they were?

He would have to contemplate on it, perhaps the black magic would have more information.

He went back to looking through the old texts.

Lizzie Saltzman walked through a forest, confused as to where she was. She looked around at the trees that had strange energy coming from them.

Where was she? What was this place? Why did it feel familiar?

She stopped walking when she felt a strange pull the right of her. She turned and walked in that direction, avoiding trees as she went.

She stopped when she noticed a light reflecting off of something. She approached it, stopping when she saw a sword in a large stone.

Wait..what?

Sword in the stone...why was that familiar? Where had she heard of something like that? Wait...was it The Sword in the Stone...like from the legend of Camelot?

She walked forward towards the stone, uncertain. Lizzie couldn't understand why the stone appeared so familiar.

When she reached the stone, she stopped. She reached out a hand stopping short of touching it.

When she heard a voice behind her.

"You can touch it, you know? It's not going to bite."

Lizzie turned around startled, her eye's widening as she spotted a young girl around the age of 13 or 14. She had dark brown hair that seemed almost black. And stunning light green eyes. And was wearing a middle-age looking dress that was dark green, and went to her ankles. It had silver accents.

"W-who are you?" Lizzie asked, not sure if she should be afraid of a preteen.

The girl cocked her head to the side, "My name is Reina Pendragon."

"Pendragon? As in-"

"Arthur Pendragon, Yes, He's my uncle," She said as if it wasn't the most unbelievable thing in the world.

"Your uncle? But he's a myth...he's not real." Lizzie exclaimed, staring in utter disbelief. "Besides, from what I know he didn't have a sibling."

The girl smirked, "Actually he did...a sister in fact...Morgana Pendragon but you would know her as Morgana La Fay."

"You're saying, Morgana La Fay, Arthur Pendragon's greatest enemy was his sister." Lizzie shook her head, this wasn't possible...it couldn't be. Then again if it was then that was really

"Yep" Reina said, popping the 'p'.

Lizzie stopped as she realized something. Is this girl saying that the legends of Camelot..of Merlin..are real?

"You're lying, you have to be, they don't exist."

"Oh they did very much exist, if they didn't I wouldn't be here" She retorted.

Lizzie looked at the girl as a thought occurred to her. "If what you are saying is true…"

"Which it is"

"How are you here as that would have been over a thousand years ago?" She finished.

"Technically it was three thousand years ago to be exact."

Lizzie felt her temper grow, "Answer the question"

The girl rolled her eyes, "I'm D-E-A-D. Dead. Have been for 3 thousand years."

"Then how am I seeing you?" Lizzie asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Reina smirked, "This is a dream, you're not awake, duh."

"That means this isn't real," Lizzie said in realization.

Reina shook her head, "Oh no, this is very real. The only way I could contact you was through a dream."

Lizzie narrowed her eyes, "Contact me? Why the hell would you want to talk to me?"

"Because you're special," said Reina softly.

Lizzie froze. She wasn't special...Josie was special. Hope was special. She was definitely not special.

Reina was staring at her knowingly.

"...what do you mean?"

"You'll understand someday, I promise." She said kindly.

"You just completely avoided the question," Lizzie said, uncrossing her arms and walking forward until she was in front of Reina.

Reina just shrugged, "I'm not supposed to tell you… you're supposed to figure it out yourself."

"Ugh, fine. Then why are you trying to contact me? You didn't enter my dreams for no reason?"

"I thought you'd never ask." She said, looking excited. "What do you know of the time before witches existed?"

Lizzie raised an eyebrow, "There was a time where there were no witches?"

"Uh huh, and I'm from that time." She said.

"So what you're saying is that the earth had no magic on it, like, three thousand years ago?" Lizzie questioned. She had decided to go along with whatever this was, to see if she could figure out if it was the truth.

Reina shook her head, "Not exactly...there was magic and magic users… just a different type."

"Magic-users? Not witches?" Lizzie asked, not understanding.

"How do I explain this...oh..I know..what was Merlin?" Reina tried to prob in the right direction.

"A wizard."

Reina stared at Lizzie in disbelief, "A wizard?! No! This isn't Harry Potter."

"Oh, I'm sorry, the magical people didn't wave magical wands and say hocus pocus?" Mocked Lizzie.

Reina looked at her in realization, "You don't believe me."

"No duh."

Reina looked away before waving her hand, causing the scenery to change around them.

"What the hell? What are you doing?" Lizzie asked frantically.

Reina looked up at the 'older' girl, "Showing you the truth."

Suddenly they were looking at a great castle that seemed to gleam in the sunlight and told a story of power.

"Where is this?" Lizzie asked, astounded.

"This..." she said pointing, "..is Camelot."

The scene changed again, and they were in a chamber. A man sat at a long table, looking tired. He had short golden blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing brown trousers and a linen shirt that had strings loose on the front, leaving some of his chest bare.

"That is my Uncle, King Arthur Pendragon," Reina said wistfully. "I never got the chance to meet him but I wish I did."

"That's King Arthur..." Lizzie questioned, feeling like she had a connection to the man in front of her. And because Lizzie was too distracted by the man, she didn't notice Reina looking at her with sadness but also hope.

Then the door to the chamber opened, and the two girls looked over, watching as a floppy-haired young man entered, with a tray full of food, and an easy grin that seemed to hide a silent sorrow.

His black hair fell messily into his face and his bright blue eyes were sparkling as he stopped short at the sight of his king up, on his own.

"Hey Arthur, you're up early...and already dressed ...all on your own." He narrowed his eyes at the king. "Do you have a fever? Do you feel ill? Stomach Ache? Perhaps I should call Gaius."

"Don't be such a dollophead Merlin. I am perfectly capable of getting myself up and dressed properly on my own."

Merlin snorted, "Surrre."

Arthur turned towards him sharply, throwing a vase at him, which caused Merlin to duck to avoid being hit.

"I am your king and you should treat me like one."

"As you wish, sire" Mocked Merlin with a bow, as he laughed in amusement and Arthur rolled his eyes at his oh so obedient servant.

Both girls couldn't prevent the laughs that escaped them at the bickering between king and servant that was more like brothers or best friends.

"That's Merlin? He's kind of cute, in an adorable puppy dog way." Lizzie said, in disbelief that this was how two legends treated each other. Like, it made sense but seeing it in person was surreal.

Reina laughed, highly amused by those words. And Lizzie looked at her in confusion but she just waved her off, shaking her head.

"Nothing, it's nothing...just an inside joke."

Reina waved her hand again and the scene changed again.

They were on a battlefield and bodies littered the ground around them. And to the right of them, King Arthur stood in full armor, with his hand holding his side, as blood seeped through his fingers.

He stumbled, and the tip of his sword hit the dirt as he tried to keep himself up but couldn't. He fell to his knees, and all the way to the floor completely passing out.

"OH MY GOD" Lizzie gasped in horror. "Is he dead?"

Reina was looking at her fallen uncle sadly, "Not yet."

"But soon?" Lizzie asked softly

"Yes, that wound was caused by a blade forged in a dragon's breath, and a piece of it broke off in his side...It's killing him from the inside out." Reina explained.

"Dragon's breath?"

Reina looked at Lizzie, "If a dragon breathes on a weapon that weapon gains incredible powers and can kill an immortal being."

Reina, once again, motioned with her hand and they were gone from the battlefield.

They were now on a grass field in front of a lake that had an island in the middle of it.

"This is the Isle of the blessed, a place of great magic…" Reina quickly explained. "Also what my kind are...are sorcerers. Most aren't born with magic, but we practice and learn it. Merlin, however, was the first person born with magic. And because of that he is called a Warlock. And I'm the second person to ever be born with their own magic."

Lizzie nodded in understanding.

They, then, heard a beating of wings and the wind picked up around them, as a great dragon landed not far from the two girls. They watched as Merlin jumped off, and dragged a limp Arthur of the dragon.

He set Arthur on the ground, called a boat with magic.

"The dragon's name is Kilgharrah," Reina said softly, knowing what was coming.

The dragon spoke as he watched the young man drag the king to the boat, "Merlin...there is nothing you can do."

Merlin stopped what he was doing and looked at Kilgharrah horrified, "I've failed?"

The dragon shook its head, "No, young warlock...for all that you have dreamt of building has come to pass."

Merlin hefted Arthur up with a cry.

Lizzie's hand went to her mouth in shock, tears filling her eyes as she watched the one who was considered to be the most powerful being to have ever existed break before her very eyes.

"I CAN'T LOSE HIM!" He cried out. "HE'S MY FRIEND."

The dragon stared at him in understanding before responding, "Though no man, no matter how great, can know his destiny, some lives have been foretold, Merlin. Arthur is not just a king. He is the once and future king. Take heart, for when Albion's need is greatest...Arthur will rise again. It has been a privilege to have known you, young warlock. The story we have been a part of will live long in the minds of men."

The dragon stretched out his wings and took off into the sky, with Merlin watching him go.

Suddenly they were back with the clearing with the sword in the stone. And Reina was staring at Lizzie with pain.

"What is it?" Inquired Lizzie.

Reina looked away, "After that happened, Merlin disappeared. Apart of me wants him to be dead…but I know he isn't, after all, he was immortal"

Lizzie looked at the 'younger' girl, "Why would you want him to be dead?"

"Because it would be easier...something happened a decade after he disappeared. 4 beings of incredible power began to hunt down every sorcerer, burning each book on magic as they went." She explained, looking into the distance as she remembered watching her fellow sorcerers be cut down...slaughtered like sheep.

"What were they?" Lizzie questioned, being sensitive for possibly the first time in her life. "Why would they do that?"

"I don't know...even after three thousand years...I still have no clue," She said shaking her head. "They killed them all...wiped all traces of my kind's existence from the planet...like we were nothing."

"I'm really sorry...even though I know it doesn't help," Lizzie whispered.

Reina smiled sadly, "Thank you...they weren't even the reason I died."

"You don't have to tell me, " said Lizzie, looking at her in concern

"No, I do. It's the reason I'm here. You have to know because I need you to do something for me." Reina was looking at Lizzie pleadingly.

"I'm listening," Lizzie said.

Reina took a breath, before starting. "The 4 monsters were killing every single sorcerer alive, and Merlin was nowhere to be found...he might have died...he might have been imprisoned...or he just didn't care as we were all hunted to the brink of extinction."

She blinked back tears and Lizzie reached out grabbing her hand in her own. Reina gave a small smile of thanks before continuing.

"I didn't know what to do…what I even could do.."

Lizzie squeezed her hand, "You were a child...there was no way you could stop them."

"I know and I had been planning on going into hiding when…" Reina looked down. "...My mother, was a seer...And I had that power too...so one day I had a vision of the future...but it wasn't a few years into the future...it was-"

"-Three thousand years" Lizzie interrupted in realization.

Reina nodded. "Yes, the vision showed me what I had to do...if I wanted sorcerers to not be completely wiped out… so I did."

"What did you do?" Lizzie asked.

"I created a powerful amulet that would have the ability to house magic in it." She explained. "And when I was done...I did the second part of the plan...I was going to put all my magic into the amulet-"

"-That would kill you," Lizzie exclaimed before her eyes widened in shock. "And it did kill you."

Reina nodded, pursing her lips. "Yes it did. Once I put all my magic into the amulet, I was able to hold on long enough to tell a fellow sorcerer where to hide it..along with my books of magic...I told him to bring the items to a new world...one that hadn't been discovered yet...under a magical spell so no one would ever find them."

"Wait..are you saying what I think you're saying?" Lizzie asked in shock.

Reina nodded, now with a smile on her face. "The amulets here, in Mystic Falls...along with my spell books...And I want you to find them for me."

Lizzie's hand was on her mouth in disbelief. "How am I going to be able to find them? Why me? Why now?"

Reina laughed, "Because only someone worthy would be able to find it...that's the spell I asked to be put on the cave so that anyone searching for it, for the power it holds because they wanted to use it, wouldn't be able to find it."

Lizzie's mouth dropped, "That's-"

"-Smart, I know"

"But why me? And now?"

"Because I can sense that you would be able to get past the barrier," She lied. 'Actually it's because you're the one meant to find it and use it' but she can't say that...not yet.

She continued, "And the reason I'm coming to you now is that The Necromancer was made aware of it by the black magic in him...and fear that he may be able to find it if he figures out how to use the black magic correctly."

"The Necromancer!" Lizzie shouted before she lowered her voice. "Oh who am I kidding...of course it's The Necromance..who else would it be. I'm an idiot for thinking otherwise."

Reina watched in amusement as she ranted.

Lizzie shook her head turning back to Reina, face full of determination. "What do you need me to do?"

"You know how your parents used to tell you stories about the Mikaelsons?" Reina asked.

"Yeah, so?" Lizzie raised an eyebrow at the girl.

"You remember how they told you about the caves where they would hide on the night of the full moon so they were safe from the wolves? Do you remember where that was?" She continued to question.

Lizzie nodded, "Yeah, I know exactly where that is. my sister and I would play hide n seek in the caves, even though we weren't supposed to."

Reina smiles, "Well if you go there and reach out with your magic you will feel a pull...I want you to follow it. When you find the place and enter...I want you to press the blue stone in the middle of the amulet...you'll know what it looks like when you see it. And take that and all the other items there, promise me."

Lizzie nodded, "I promise"

"Thank you...It was nice to meet you and I'll see you again someday." Reina said.

Lizzie smiled, pausing as she made a decision, and pulled the smaller girl into a hug. Reina froze before relaxing.

"I hope I see you again soon, thank you for the history lesson."

Reina laughed and pulled back, smiling. "Goodbye, Elizabeth Saltzman."

Lizzie smirked, "And goodbye to you Princess Reina Pendragon."

And Lizzie was gone from the dream world.

Reina stared at the spot Lizzie once stood.

"I will see you again..Uncle..or I suppose it's Aunt now..huh?" She laughed to herself before she disappeared as well.

XxXxXxXxXxX

Lizzie woke up with a gasp. And Josie, who was sitting up in her bed looking through her phone, looked over at her concerned.

"Lizzie, you okay?"

Lizzie looked back at her twin, and gave a smile, "Yeah, I'm fine Jo..just had a dream that I was falling..it startled me."

"Yeah, those dreams always freak me out too," Josie responded. "Hey Liz, what are you doing today?"

"Uh..." Lizzie paused, "I have something I need to do today but I'll meet up with Hope and you for dinner."

"You'll be gone all day?" Josie furrowed her brow, surprised.

Lizzie nodded, "Yeah, what I'm planning on doing could take a few hours or all day, it really depends."

"Ok, well be careful, if you see a monster call us right away," Josie said.

"No duh, I'm not an idiot like bird-boy," Lizzie responded, and Josie rolled her eyes.

Lizzie got up, and got ready quickly.

After she showered, he put on black leggings paired with a red tank top, and a black leather jacket to go over the top. She put on running shoes and put her hair in two french braids.

She grabbed her backpack as she was leaving the room and called back to Josie.

"See you later, Josie."

As she started down the hall, she heard Josie call back.

"See you."

Lizzie left the boarding school through the back without anyone stopping her and walked in the direction of the forest. She headed to where she knew the Mikaelson Caves were.

After about 10 minutes, she came to a stop. She took off her jacket and wrapped it around her waist. Then continued walking.

It took her about 40 minutes in total to reach the entrance of the caves.

She put her backpack on the floor and opened it, pulling out her water bottle. As she drank long gulps. After she put the water bottle back into the backpack, she looked around as she caught her breath.

Lizzie thought back to the dream and remembered that Reina had said that she would feel a pull in a certain direction.

She guessed it was time to meditate.

Lizzie sat crisscrossed on the grass and closed her eyes. She took slow and deliberate breaths as she centered herself.

She focused on what she could hear.

The sounds of leaves rustling in the wind. Birds calling out to each other. The sound of the trees swaying, and the pitter-patter of squirrels running in the trees.

Then she thinks about what she could feel.

She could feel the grass beneath her, slightly damp from morning dew. The feeling of rock under one of her legs. And the sweet that was dripping down her forehead and the back of her neck. Then there was the cool morning breeze that brushed against her causing her loose hairs to blow in the wind.

Next, she thought about what she could smell.

The smell of grass surrounded her comfortably. And the smell of her sweet was drowned out by the wind blowing the woodsy scent of nature along with blossoming flowers.

Finally, she opened her eyes and looked around to see what she could see.

She could see the rough bark of the oak trees around her. She could see the bugs in the dirt hidden ever so slightly by the green grass, that still had droplets of water on its strands.

She looked up seeing the blue sky with minimal clouds. When she looked to the right she saw sunflowers in the taller grass with bee's landing on them.

There was a nice quietness here.

Lizzie had never realized how beautiful and calming the forest was.

A slight smile was on her face, as she breathed in slowly.

There was a tug.

Lizzie paused, what was that?

Then she felt it again, another tug, harder this time.

It pulled to the left of her.

Reina said she would feel a pull.

Was this what she was talking about?

She felt it even harder this time.

She got up, grabbing her backpack as she went. She walked in the direction of the pull. And saw nothing for a while, then she came upon a large rock wall.

She walked up to it but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Then she felt the pull again and narrowed her eyes at the wall.

What if it wasn't a normal wall?

Lizzie rested her hand on the wall but did nothing else. She waited for a minute but still, nothing happened.

She was about to take her hand off the wall when it glowed a green color, and the wall disappeared before her eyes.

Her hand fell back down to her side. And Lizzie hesitated for a split second before entering. She walked down a long hallway when it opened up to a large open space.

Lizzie gasped as she took in everything in the room.

On the right side of the room there were 2 large chests. One was open showing it was filled to the brim with books.

Those must be the magic books Reina had mentioned.

She walked over and knelt beside the chest looking at the books. The book on top said the word 'Healing' on the cover.

Lizzie moved away from the chest looking around again.

On the left side of the room there was a large variety of weapons and armor.

There were ancient bow and arrows, crossbows, daggers, axes, short swords, long swords, and even a scythe. There were other weapons that she wasn't sure what to call.

However in the middle of the room there was a simple wooden table. Bur what was on it caught her attention.

An Amulet rested on a stand, the stone in the middle glowing blue. Beside the table rested a sword that radiated magic. And next to the table was an armor stand that held female armor that looked like it was her size.

Lizzie walked towards the table, stopping in front of the sword. Lizzie stared down at the sword and a word appeared at the forefront of her mind.

"Excalibur" She said aloud. "Holy shit."

Lizzie looked at the amulet next and remembered what Reina told her to do. She reached forward and picked up the amulet. And ever so gently she pressed down on the bluestone.

The entire amulet glowed, and the blue glow of old magic rushed from the amulet at Lizzie, it hit her in the chest as it was absorbed into her.

Lizzie was thrown backward and her back hit the floor. Her eyes were closed.

She felt a rush of pure power flow through her as the magic attached itself to her very core. She breathed out shakily and opened her eyes.

They were a glowing yellowish-orange color, that stayed for only a few seconds before returning to her typical blue eyes.

The magic settled and Lizzie went slack as she fell completely unconscious.
