Hello there. Thanks for beginning to read this story. it's my first one, so any constructive criticism is really appreciated, be it through reviews or PM's. The name for umbreon was inspired by NanobotEX's story involving a blue Umbreon, so thanks to them. Without their story I wouldn't have been able to decide on a name for Azura. Thanks again.

At the Trainer's school in Rustboro city, Duncan is about to graduate, he has two days before he has to make his way to Littleroot town. However he doesn't know that this night, he will be making a brand new friend. A rare one at that. "What was that?" he asked himself after seeing What he thought was a blue, black, and red blur, was that a pokemon? No. It couldn't have been. Moments later he saw it again, Sprint across an alleyway to his left. What is that? Is a pokemon following me? A few hours after he got back to his room, there was a tap at his window. Which was facing Petalburg woods. He opened the window slightly, and once it was open enough, a pokemon slipped into his room, Illuminating her blue rings. "An Umbreon? But their rings are supposed to be yellow. and their eyes too." "B-r-reee" Man, Umbreon are rare, hold on. This is a small Umbreon. Either it's a newly evolved umbreon, or she's Female. "Night Azura" "Bree!"

When I woke up, I didn't expect the Umbreon to still be in my room. But she was. And she was waking up. "Hey Azura, do you like your name?" "Umbree!" I'll take that as a yes. "Good Morning Duncan." Ah that must be Roxanne, the first Gym leader and also our schools principle teacher. "Good morning miss. I have someone you might want to meet." The umbreon is now sitting on my chest, looking very triumphant. "Duncan, are you alright?" yep I'm fine. just have a new friend. "That Umbreon is rare. In fact Eevee are rare in this region." You're right Miss. But that's why I'm never going to leave Azura alone. even though team Aqua and team Magma supposedly disbanded. "I'm glad to hear that from you Duncan. Have a safe journey to Petalburg." I'll try. "You can leave today". Thanks miss. Come on Azura. "Umbreeee" We're going to visit my dad in petalburg. And so Duncan and Azura left Thanks And headed through petalburg woods. Man, I'm really glad I don't have to walk through the grass here. Especially since I Don't actually own Azura... "You. Scamp. Stop! That Umbreon is Mine!" Archie?! No it can't possibly be Archie. Brendan made team aqua disband before. There's no way they've reformed. "I said that Umbreon is Mine. Hand it over." No way Archie. I'd never do that. "Wait. scamp, you're that Norman's son aren't you?" Yeah... what does that matter? "It doesn't. Mightyena Go!" Ugh really? Okay then. Azura let's go! What moves does Azura even know? Azura, Use swift. "Mightyena dodge it and use crunch." Azura yelps in pain as the crunch hits her. "Again Mightyena." Azura just disappeared. Does Azura know Pursuit? The mightyena's yelp told me that she did know pursuit. But we were not winning this. When all of a sudden, dark energy poured out of Azura. Completely covering the battlefield. making it so that Archie couldn't see his pokemon, but I still could somehow. It must have something to do with Azura's dark typing. But what made her so strong? "Azura. Dark pulse!" The cloud disappeared instantly and revealed a full powered dark pulse from Azura, which wiped out Archie's Mightyena. "You'll pay for this Scamp!" he shouted as he ran off. Azura collapsed from putting in too much effort. "Azura!" I picked her up and ran he rest of the way to Petalburg's Pokemon centre. "Nurse Joy. please help my Umbreon." "Blissey. Bring the trolley, Your Umbreon should be fine in 10 minutes." Thanks. I made my way to my Dad's Gym. where he was waiting on me. "So Duncan, my boy. Where's this Blue Umbreon I've been told about?" In the pokemon centre Dad. we got attacked by Archie. Az- I mean Umbreon managed to defeat his Mightyena, but then collapsed after he ran away. "I hope it's okay." She should be. Thanks dad. I'm going back to the PMC to check on her. Once I walked into the Centre, I saw Nurse Joy, who informed me that Azura, was fully healed. And that I could continue my journey now.

I then walked back to my Dad's Gym. and showed him Azura, he gave me a Luxury ball. "Use that Luxury ball to catch Azura." Hey Azura. If you really want to come with me, hit the button in the middle of the ball. "Umbree! Breeooon!" She hit the button. It didn't shake at all. That's how much Azura already loved me. "Azura. Come on out." She's so beautiful. "Duncan my boy. Go see Professor Birch in Littleroot. And whilst you're there pick your starter." "I'm on it Dad." And so we were off. Littleroot here we come. The journey through route 102 was uneventful. And we reached Oldale town easily. The journey through route 101 was also uneventful. That was until we came a little short of Littleroot town, when I heard a man shouting for help. I saw a bag on the floor and then saw Prof. Birch running from a poochyena. "Help! Use one of the pokéballs in my bag. Quickly!" I did so. It happened to be Mudkip's ball. "Here we go mudkip. Use tackle on the poochyena!" It came in for a bite. But was sent skidding by the mud fish pokemon. "Once more Little guy. Tackle!" And with that. The Poochyena ran away. "Thank you so much. Wait you're Norman's son. This isn't the place for a chat. Come to my lab with me." "Wait! Professor. Mudkip is injured. we should go to the pokemon centre in Oldale first." I suggested this as I wasn't sure if there was one in Littleroot or if Professor Birch had the machine in his lab like Prof. Elm does. "Indeed young man. However I have the machine in my Lab." Right then. To his lab we go. The walk through the remainder of route 101 was not eventful. We did see a Yellow/Gold Poochyena though. Which Professor Birch caught in a quick ball. After 15 minutes we were in the Lab. "So Duncan. Would you mind showing me your Umbreon? Also would you like Mudkip, Treeko or Torchick as your starter pokemon?" "Azura. come out girl. And I'd like to take Mudkip." The mud fish pokemon had tears in its eyes. and ran over to me and rubbed against my leg. "Kip. Mudkip!" Well the little guy seems happy. After a few hours, Professor Birch returned after doing some studies on Azura's performance and power. "Duncan, much like the poochyena that I just caught. Your Umbreon, is what we call a Shiny pokemon. Since, not only are umbreon rare in Hoenn, Female umbreon even rarer. But to find a female shiny umbreon in our region is Extremely rare. You're a very lucky boy Duncan. So I'm giving you this poochyena too." "Thank you professor"
