Ted mosby met his best friends Barney Stinson after work Marshal and Lilly were away for the weekend and he'd decided to let barney take him on a crazy adventure he'd never admit it to Barney but he always had the best nights when he let Barney have control.

When he met him barney looked stressed beyond belief.

"Whats up man?" Ted asked sitting down with his drink.

"I love women I love them i love them so fucking much but theres always one that makes me want to fucking hate them!" barney downed his drink and thats when ted realized he had a bottle on the table and he refilled his glass.

"Let me guess your new assistant again?" Ted laughed and shook his head he told barney hitting on her wouldn't go in his favor.

"She's so frustrating!"

"Still wont sleep with you?"

"No she will not and its more than that she's so mean." Ted just shrugged he'd clicked on a few days ago that barney liked her not that he'd ever admit to it besides robin had a boyfriend anyway.

"So fire her." Barney shook his head.

"I can't she's really good at her job i mean I've never been so organized and she's really good at revenge plots."

"She's worked for you a week and you've already taken revenge on someone."

"Only three times."

"Look Barney just treat her like a human being and she might go out with you."

"What?! What? I do not want her to go out with me that is just ridiculous."

"Is it?"

"Yes now drink up Teddy boy there is fun to be had she's not ruining my weekend as well as my week."

Ted knew Barney had it bad when he was this off his game no girl was good enough even in the strip club he seemed distracted his friend was suffering having feelings for a girl was the end of the world to him his brain wasn't equipped to process that. He needed a plan asap.

So while he knew barney was out of the office her turned up he'd never seen the girl before but damn she really was beautiful in another world he'd ask her out but barney would never recover he liked her but would be too ashamed to tell ted not to date her the boy would probably explode trying to deal with that many emotions at one.

"Is Barney in?" He asked innocently already knowing the answer.

"Got an appointment?"

"Wow he was right you are good at your job his last assistant used to let me walk in. I'm Ted Moseby barney bestfreind."

"Well I highly doubt he said that I'm pretty sure he's finding a way to get rid of me." He shook his head.

"See I told him to fire you but he said no apparently your the best assistant he's ever had."

what is this he recruit you to try and talk me into bed with him?"

"No honestly i told him not to hit on you barney he's he has layers."

"What when he wears a three piece instead on a two piece?"

"You ever seen him were a two piece?" She had to laugh.

"Well no that guy does love his suits."

"Barney he doesn't think like me and you he may be a little bit um-"

"Childish?"

"Well yeah but between me and you i think he tends to struggle a little bit with processing things like an adult but he's not a bad guy maybe you should both just talk it out so your not both ready to kill each other when your at work."

"Iv'e met 100 guys like barney and i know exactly what kind of guy he is so if its all the same ill pass." Ted sighed and walked away he couldn't say anything to that he needed to try and get through to Barney. Jesus were they both as stubborn as each other?

Robin tried not to think about it truth was she was trying to push barney to fire her. Her boyfriend would kill her if she walked out of another job but, she knew she couldn't keep working for Barney for long. Truth is she was attracted to Barney and it was taking a lot of strength to turn him down but she wasn't about to blow up her whole life for one night with a douchebag who'd pretend it never happened.
