The days went by ever so slowly, but Feliciano did not mind. After all, he is still with his beloved Ludwig every single day, and this surely lasts for forever and beyond.
Bringing a bunch of blue daisies with him, he smiled, noticing that Ludwig had already waited for him at their usual spot. Seeing Ludwig's smiling features bring a smile to his as well.
"Sorry that I'm late Luddy~ You know that my legs aren't what they were supposed to be." He took a seat next to him and stretched until his joints cracked.
"I fully understand, Feliciano. If I was in your predicament I'd be saying the same as well." Ludwig seated himself beside Feliciano, so close that their fingers touched and eventually intertwined.
"But I wanted to talk to you as soon as I can. After all, you could only visit an hour a day."
"Ja, but I'd feel better if you stayed at home instead. I could visit you there as well."
"Aww, come on, Luddy. You should know this place is special to both of us, and it would mean a world to me to see you again here, just like the first time I met and fell for you."
Hearing Feliciano reminisces their past put a pale blush on his face. They both chatted away, keeping tabs on what's happening in their lives.
Until the time for Ludwig to leave has come.
Feliciano hated this part of the visit. He hated to say goodbye to the person he loves. Every goodbye is painful, and Ludwig could see it written clearly on his face. But Ludwig reasoned, saying that this would not last forever, and there will be a time they would be back together again. And lasts forever.
"Promise me you would be by my side when the time comes, okay?" Feliciano pouted as Ludwig kissed him goodbye.
"I'll personally come and fetch you myself, to make sure that you wouldn't be lost on your way there~" the taller blond jest.
"Then it's a promise!"
Feliciano watched solemnly as Ludwig slowly shrinking from his view, his pure white angelic wings carrying him away from where he stood.
Then the rest of the journey back home feels more like a chore.
Feliciano felt at peace the moment he entered his home, and somehow the atmosphere seems familiar. Ah, this is the same feeling he felt when Ludwig was around. Does that mean...?
As he entered his room, he saw a familiar figure waiting at the side of his bed. The moment has finally come, he smiled at the thought.
"You meanie, why didn't you tell me it will be today?"
"I wanted to make it a surprise for you. Aren't you delighted that we'll be reunited once again?"
"I'm so overjoyed that I could die~"
The sleep he had for that day was the uttermost serene he had since the day of their first night as a couple. Considering that he knew the moment he wakes up from his slumber, his beloved Ludwig will be by his side.
And this time he'll own the same pair of angelic wings as Ludwig's.
