Hey everyone, Readershadow here...I know its been a while, but work has been...a while, but I've been dealing with work as of late, and being a essential worker means i will be trapped at work still, so I will try and work on the story during lunch breaks,...

Also! Game freak and The pokemon company own pokemon. I only own my Ocs.

Arceus watched the small child through its pool silently, humming as it did so, expresion troubled as he did…..the Chosen One, Ash, was everything he needed to be… but…..it didn't feel right, letting the child grow up alone….. even the other child, Gary, the professors grandson, had left the small child… even though he still was great friends with the pokemon of the local forest, it wanted the child to have...some level of human interaction, apart from the elder Oak and Miss Ketchum…

It glanced at the crystal mirror off to the side, where Mew and Giritina, at the Alpha pokemons orders, were searching for a human to join the Chosen One….preferably from another realm…..

Normally, the Guardian of the Reverse Realm and the Creation pokemon didn't encroach on the others lands, but this was important…...they needed some way of making it so humans and poke were able to get along better… but at the same time, they wanted them both to be down to earth…..and unafraid to do the right thing…..even if it means to stand up to the Legendaries themselves….

To say that Mew and Giritina weren't having an easy time of searching for a good partner for Ash would be a Understatement…

"No...too serious….not that one, too cold….." muttered Mew, as Giritina opened crystals to view alternate realities, having already exhausted their own realm….Plenty of temporary partners, but no one who might be able to last for the entire journey…

The massive Antimatter pokemon working hard, despite what most thought, it took its job seriously, and wasn't actually banished...more of a self imposed Exile. If it jumped between realms often, which wasn't easy to begin with, it damaged reality each time. Damage it had to repair quickly or risk reality crumbling into the Void from whence it came…

"What about this one, Sister?" it said, spotting something its sister, in her efforts, had missed…

It showed a young human, walking through the snow, a arm before him, his clothes archaic, leather, one arm wrapped around his pokemon, holding it close to a amber lamp on his chest that glowed and heated them up as they made their way to a town surrounding a massive tower, puffing out steam, radiating heat out to keep the inhabitants warm in the bleak times…..

The human trudged through the Snow, fighting to get to the town in the storm, trying to protect the trembling bundle in his arms, a large pack on his back, swaying like it was disturbingly empty, and a canteen on the side, next to a filtration system, clanking softly in the howling wind as the two finally made it to the town, his face wrapped up beneath the hood and goggles, protecting it mostly from the cold, but not the wind.

The arm lowered, grabbing a door and opening it, revealing to be a steampunk pokecenter, and his hood came down, as did his heads wrappings, revealing spikey, white hair that stuck out everywhere, a amber eye, soft, caring, but sharp and intelligent, the other eye missing, socket covered with a eye patch. His arms revealed to be bulky mechanical arms, mainly containing tools and climbing gear, three appendages on each, but despite that he seemed quite dexterous with them, deftly manipulating small objects and knobs, powering up the pokecenter, trying to heat the room up, as steam drifted from their mouths.

His pokemon revealed something surprising…. a flygon, small, runty due to the cold stunting her evolutionary growth, which should have resulted in her being bigger than her trainer, cuddling his side as it shivered, wearing a similar garment to him as the human looked around the eerily deserted pokecenter.

"Well….seems we are the last down here, Mir…." he said softly, rubbing his flygons head as he set her before the small, strange machine, glowing a deep amber, pistons hissing ast they moved, power radiating from it, powering the pokecenter, looking around slowly. His voice sounded rusty but soft from disuse, no other pokeballs seen on him but the damaged one on his belt…. Obviously his Flygons, but had seen some damage, likely from a fight, if the melted metal indicated anything, though still functional, as it still had the flygons signature within it.

"Best we get everything shut down and get the Steamtower prepped for extraction for the Fleet….The League isn't going to wait for us…" he sighed, looking at his barely recovered flygon. "I'll get started… think you can join me when you are feeling up for it?" he asked her, gently setting what little food they had left, some Hardtack and some untainted water next to her, larger then his share, despite her protests.

"Eat up…. you need it more then me, girl…." he sighed, rubbing his arms as he looked at his metal claws he had for hands, his arms oddly bulky on the lower arms, his shoulders oddly bulky as well, the heater/powercore/light seemingly recessed into his jacket a little too far….

he nibbled on his share, the hardtack a mix of fats and some grain, barely enough to keep a trainer alive, let alone his poke…..

Both Giritina and Mew frown as they watch the two living beings, huddled before the strange machine, trying to keep warm in a winter wasteland, not knowing their League, in orbit around the planet, in ships designed by Virgil and his mentor, , had sent them on a mission to die, as they had done the calculations…..and slated them for death. Easiest way was to send them after a 'final' Steamtower, using Virgil's too big heart against him, not expecting them to live to it, and already made the burn to their new home…..Leaving their universes Chosen and his only pokemon he was allowed to keep…..leaving the to the mercies of the cold weather…..and the remaining Invaders of their world…

"We have to help them…" Said Mew, sadness enveloping her, while Giritina shook with silent rage at the betrayal, scowling at the ships, sorely tempted to send them on a odyssey….or better yet, strand the League in some abandoned corner of the universe, while the pokemon and innocent humans made it to a new home…..it finally shook its head at last, setting its head down to gaze at a new crystal as it glowed brightly, signaling its counterpart for that realm that it wished to speak with them….

A moment later, Another giritina appeared, looking…. tired, warn down.

"If I may ask what is the call about?" it said softly, its eyes dimly glowing as it looked towards its healthier counterpart, spooking poor Mew, who had never seen her sibling like this, and wished to never see something like that to anyone again…. her giritina was worried as well….this didn't bode well, at all….. "I apologise for the interruption, but I must request you permission to take two poeple from your realm…..to aid ours in our Chosens efforts...we fear only him will not be enough for what is to come…." Giritina spoke, its counterparts eyes closing for a moment…" Ah….I see…" it said, feeling the subtle disturbance in its reality, where the other giritina was watching its Universes Chosen.

"...I….. wish to say yes….But I must speak it over with my own Council...But….I think I can arrange something so it benefits both of our realms." it said softly, its eyes opening….looking...hopeful. "I propose this, I send him and his poke to your realm to aid your chosen…..and when they can, they will take a trip to our Chosens universe to aid in my Arceus's plans for the Arks…." it said, hope seeming to help it as it slowly spoke louder, hope filling its being….. Maybe its Chosen could undo the bleak fate they had tried so hard to prevent?

Mew nodded, rapidly, spinning around her sibling as the other giritina vanished from view, letting them see the sorry state of the other realms Reverse world, ice everywhere, broken spires all over the place, some half repaired, others half repaired and then broken again…..it was in not in good shape, making them both wonder what had happened…..

Moments later, it returned, with its own Mew, who they froze when they saw her….one eye was missing, replaced with what looked like a lamp, but it clicked and moved to view them, a light acting as a iris and focusing on them. "You want to help little brother?" She said, looking hopeful, despite her sorry condition, odd scarring covering her body, bouncing up and down on her tail, making her counterpart tilt her head… and freeze….this wasn't the other realms original mew...it felt way too young...but her child….and now that she looked….the same could be said of the other giritina. What happened in that realm…...?

"Wh...What happened…?" The healthy giritina said, pale as he watched the other mew, silent rage forming in its heart as it watched. "Brother made me a new eye when Team Rocket took it out...when they were dissecting me…." She said as she shivered, curling in on herself as she remembered, her giritina gently cradling her in its shadow wings as it sighed.

"Many of us are the children of the originals…..after our parents/predecessors fell for one reason or another…" it said softly. "The only originals left are Arceus, Deoxys, A Mew, her mother, a…..Mewtwo….and thats it….." it said softly, shuddering at the memory of what...remained...of their Mewtwo…..it noticed the confusion on the face of the other two at the mention of the name. "You will understand soon." it spoke, as a bubble appeared before them, popping...revealing a passed out Virgil and flygon, both of their bodies rapidly shrinking, deaging as they passed the reality membrane, becoming Ash's current age, around six years old….seems that different realities moved at different times, and Virgil deaged severely….but Mir, the flygon, was now back to a little trapinch once more….their clothes amusingly oversized for them.

Virgils arms comically big for his little body...as well as his torso, oddly enough, but not for long, as Mew shrank the limbs and torso down to size, messing with it a bit, making it living, like a porygon, in a way, but mechanical, not digital. This allowed the limbs to grow with him...and heal up, as she noticed he was missing many parts within him, some moved elsewhere to keep himself alive...or likely sold to buy food for him and Mir.

"Please, keep little brother safe….he gave up much for us….we don't want to loose him….." said the other giritina, looking forlornly at the little human as he laid there on a cloud Mew conjured up. "He gave us so much...and we couldn't give it back…." It said softly, looking at one of its limbs, and looking more crushed at the sight of it…..if one looked closely, they might notice it was oddly discolored, as it shook its head. "Just….return him safely… I...don't want to loose another sibling." it said, as its mew waved at her perceived little brother, knowing he couldn't see it, being asleep, but didnt care, before the crystal went opaque, connection ended, the other two likely working to fix their realm…

Arceus silently watched as Ash played, feeling the disturbance in realities, and smiled, feeling two new beings….. before frowning at the…..feelings of Giritina and Mew...they felt...upset about something. Concerned, it conjured up a smaller pool, looking to them...and blinked at the sight of the human and a trapinch in clothes better suited for taking a full blast of Articunos rath then anything….and the sight of the missing eye of the human, making it frown, as it watched Mew setting the two down near Ash, before vanishing, staying close to guard the little human as he and the trapinch moved, overly warm now, and waking up…

It smiled and closed off the pool, and went to check on Giritina and Mew, who were talking quietly, through a large crystal at the Table in the Hall Of Origins, both seeming troubled.

"What is wrong, Mew? Giritina?" it asked as it approached, bending its neck down to talk with the two slowly.

"We are….Concerned for our counterparts." Giritina finally said, looking...worried. "Something happened in their world, turning it into a land of ice and fear, not even something Articuno could cause." "Their giritina is gone, its child in its place, while we know their mew is alive, we only saw her child….and she was injured by someone, her eye replaced by a mechanical one…." Mew said softly, her long standing maternal instincts once more overriding her playful nature.

"Their world was wronged to the point they are forced to leave their planet, though their league decided to betray their Chosen and leave him to die as they ran away" spoke Giritina, rage finally apparent, shadows crackling around him as it scowled, somewhat possessive already of the odd little human they had been asked to watch over. "and whats more…. they asked that our chosen help theirs….." it finally said, glancing to the side, watching as Ash found the two, passed out, recovering from their deaging as well as their previous adventures….

"He will need time to heal, but I think our chosen can help with that...like their chosens experience may help our chosen in his quest…" Giritina spoke, watching silently. "what concerns me was the fact that the other Legendaries were willing to let us take them that easily without a fight, and only the request that we take care of them….and let them both help their universe when the time comes." it said softly…..

In the lab of Professor Oak, it was fairly quiet, the aging professor working quietly on his current project, mainly a study on the correlation of various pokemon and their relationships when he heard the door bang open, making him glance up as he saw Ash. A smile graced his face, before it vanished as Ash began babbling, dragging him off, something about a unknown poke, and a kid passed out in the forest.

Worry grew when he followed the little six year old, finding that there indeed was a poke, something he recognized as a trapinch, curled against the side of a small child, unconsciously, the age of Ash, who, upon closer inspection, was missing a eye, socket uncovered, a eyepatch hanging off his neck, a few sizes too big, the injury showing to be a old injury….or rather, surgery, as it looked like it was removed in a surgical procedure of some kind…..

He picked the two up in his arms, the young male feeling oddly thin and heavy at the same time, his torso oddly warm….and then he spotted the amber light emitting from the metal hole in the parka's chest, a lightbulb there pulsing like a heartbeat, swirling with energy as the small male breathed slowly, hugging the trapinch closely, his massive bag grabbed by a determined Ash, carrying it back with them to the lab, Oak setting the unconscious male on a medical table, having difficulties prying the little poke from the him, as his grip, and its, was quite strong.

Oak finally separated the two, but kept them close as he noticed the discomfort the poke showed not being with the child, making him smile as it tried to burrow back into the arms of the kid, ….and he began to pull the jackets off them, frowning as he saw the humans chest and arms were entirely mechanical...it wasn't any kind of tech he was familiar with, either, but it was obvious that it was common for where he came from, as it showed signs that it was a mass produced piece...or at least started out as a mass produced piece. Clearly, it had been modified later…. and the power core, it wasn't giving off as much heat as it had been previously, clearly trying to conserve power, likely a survival tactic. Oak then noticed something odd about the clothes as well…

His clothes were clearly not of Kanto origin, or any of the local regions, and looked more like it was made for temperatures far colder then any he was aware of, and were oversized for his little frame, much like the trapinch was wearing as well. The clothes were well worn, showing signs of damage in a fight and possibly rocks, a special magnetic metal on the chest, allowing it to click back around the child's core, the leather making it similar to actual poke skin….like some of the larger predatory poke, who wouldn't care what they ate…..making him more worried….how did the two end up out here?

A groan broke him from his musings, as he spotted the small male setting up, gears clicking as his body moved, the core glowing brighter as it expended power to get him moving, as he looked around blearily. "Dr. Tesla…?" he mumbled with a very strange accent as he caught sight of Oak, before frowning deeply. " Wait….you aren't Tesla…." he said as he slowly woke up, slowly looking around, slowly looking more and more spooked as he did.

"I'm Professor Oak, the resident researcher here in Pallet Town." Oak said, trying to calm the child down, worried, as the child looked at him, panicking slightly "Wheres...MIR!?" he said, spooked, aas he saw the trapinch, clutching the poke closely, checking her over rapidly, mumbling various different things, some in a unknown, at least to Oak, language.

"Apart from being a trapinch again, your safe…." he mumbled under his breath, before looking up as she woke, her smaller eyes flicking around the room in a panic, before she calmed down and realized she was a trapinch again….but her human was a child again...and they were safe…if in a odd room. Curiosity got the better of the little ground bug, as she looked around, and saw Ash, a human that felt like Her human, making her tilt her head at the untainted wonder, filling the brown eyes of the child….something she hadn't seen in years…..not since the first Frost….

A cough broke them from their musings, Oak looking at the two, as Mir climbed her humans shirt, doing something she hadn't been able to do in years. Use her trainers hair as a bed.

"Well….seems you two are alright….if I may ask what you two were doing out in the forest?" Oak asked, smiling gently as he watched the trapinch open its massive jaws wide, showing her sharp, serrated beak, a sign of a healthy, if a bit malnourished, trapinch….speaking of, the child looked worse off then her, making him frown. What little of his skin and organic body Oak could see, it seemed he was more malnourished, telling Oak that he had been feeding his poke better then himself….. which, while it told Oak that the kid had a big heart, concerned him greatly.

"we...weren't in a forest...least, I don't think it was...certainly wasn't anymore….." Virgil said softly, voice raspy and still soft, as he looked at Oak, cautious, and confused. "We were resting in a abandoned pokecenter, by the Steamcore, prepping to extract a Steamtower…"he said, noticing the confused look the other two had. "...you don't know what a Steamcore or Tower is…?" he said, confused himself...till he heard a chirp of a pidgeot, and froze, turning around, looking out a window…. and froze.

"Tha...thats impossible…." he said in shock. "Earth….was..is...a iceball after the War and the Frosts!" he said, eyes wide as he stumbled, making Mir grumble...till she saw what he saw and froze, staring out into the green lands of the poke ranch in shock, making Oak confused…. "War…?" he asked, tilting his head, till he remembered something. A incident from years ago. "Wait right there…" he said and zipped off, leaving Ash with the other 'kid'.

Virgil was so absorbed with staring out, he didn't notice Mir's poking till she used her jaws to tug his hair, getting his attention, and pointed at Ash, making a gesture and tapping his head..kind of like morse code. "Hmm…? ah,... right.." he said, blushing, before turning to Ash. "Uh...this might sound weird, and I know…..Oak? said this was Pallettown…..but where are we….?" he asked.

Ash seemed to grin at that question. "Yeah, Pallet town, in the Kanto region" the words made the white haired boy freeze. "What?!" he said, very, very worried...
