BOOM!
The earth shook and the demigods fell to their feet. They were currently trying to battle Gaea, and the forces of monsters surrounding them.
In the air, Leo, Jason, and Piper were in a fierce battle with Gaea. Piper was trying to charm-speak her to go to speak.
"Millennia of sorrow," she began, trying to be as calm as possible in this situation. "Your husband Ouranos was abusive. Your grandchildren the gods overthrew your beloved children the Titans. Your other children, the Cyclops and the Hundred-Handed Ones, were thrown into Tartarus. You are so tired of heartache.
"LIES!" Gaea rumbled as she tried to attack Piper. Jason grunted, trying to keep Gaea contained by controlling the air around her, trapping her in a ball of condensed winds.
Piper took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and continued. "What you want, more than victory, more than revenge...you want rest. You are so weary, so incomprehensibly tired of the ungrateful mortals and immortals." Gaea seethed in anger. She roared, and the swirling earth around her started spinning faster and faster.
"P-Piper," Jason tried to say, gritting his teeth in concentration. "I can't hold this much longer."
She gulped and hurriedly continued. "You want one thing," Piper said smoothly, although she was really panicking inside. "One word. You want permission to close your eyes and forget your troubles. Yo-"
Gaea yelled in rage and broke free of the wind Jason had restraining her. In one fluid motion, she punched Piper in the face. Jason looked on in shock. He quickly dived down, trying to rescue Piper.
"Piper, I'm comi-" He was cut short as Gaea shot a ball of heavy, thick mud at Jason, shooting him into another direction, towards the lake.
Gaea laughed victoriously. "You puny demigods," she rumbled. "You think you can charm-speak me to going to sleep?" She laughed again. "I want everything but sleep! I am quite refreshed after millennia of resting!" She shot chunks of stones at Leo, who was trying to attack her.
Leo rode on top of Festus. "You're going to pay for that!" He roared. His entire body caught on fire, and he flew over to her, but just when he was about to hit her, she disappeared.
A couple of meters away, she reappeared. "Pathetic," she said. "I can easily beat you. However, my powers are still a bit rusty. I shall come back later, when my monster horde has destroyed you." She snapped her fingers, Thanos-style, and teleported away.
Leo roared in anger. "How dare you! Come back, I need to destroy you!" But it was no use. Gaea was gone. They had failed.
This is my first fanfic, so let's see how this goes. Please review and PM me if you have any suggestions to how you want this story to take place.
What I basically have in mind is that Gaea destroys the world, and the remaining demigods must go into hiding, and try to survive. It's really similar to the Last Kids On Earth book series, where the kids try to survive in a post-apocalypse world.
