"Good morning everyone!" A cheerful voice said over the island intercom.

"I just want to say that the new Resident Services building has completed the clean-up and we will be open all day!" Isabelle, the cute assistant to Tom Nook said. "I hope you all have a great day and come see us if you need help!"

In a house with a pink roof nearby, a human villager opened their hazel eyes. Brushing their pink sheets to the side, they immediately walked over to the nearby wardrobe and changed into their favorite outfit.

As they brushed their pastel pink locks to the side, they admired how great the denim jeans and jacket looked on their body. Then they grabbed all their tools and headed out for the day.

They loved the way the warm sun felt on their soft mocha skin. The slight smell of apples in the wind complemented the rustling of the green trees.

"Hey Raine!" The friendly bear Maple said, waving. "Hey Maple!" Raine said, walking up to hug her. "Aw that's so nice honey..." She said as they hugged her. They had a short conversation before parting ways. There were chores to be done, after all. The weeds had to be picked, the roses had to be watered and fruit had to be harvested.

As usual, the apple trees had to be shaken for the fruit to come down. Three apples fell from the leaves. Raine noticed that something else fell from the trees as well. Before they could even see what it was, the sound of buzzing made their heart drop.

"That's a fucking wasp nest." Raine said as the cloud of angry flying insects formed in front of them. "OH SHIT!" Raine said, immediately taking off running. The dark cloud of wasps was quickly coming behind them. As they ran, they saw the town hall getting closer.

"Am i going to make it?" They wondered, feeling the wasps getting closer. They got to the door safely, quickly opening and shutting the door behind them, escaping from the winged beasts. The door slamming caught the attention of Tom and Isabelle. "Raine? Heh, where's the fire?" The chubby tanuki greeted. "Sorry about the interruption, i just escaped a flock of wasps." Raine said, catching their breath.

"Sorry to hear that, but I'm actually glad your here. I need your help." Tom said, shuffling his papers and sitting down. "Sure, what is it, Tom?" Raine said. "Floralia has sure come a long way from being a deserted island. However, i feel like we need more foreign plants to kind of...bring some new colors to the island. Take this Nook Miles ticket and harvest some new flowers from a different island!" Tom said, handing them the ticket.

"Ok Tom, sure thing!" Raine said.

As Raine left the town hall, ticket in hand, they added that on the list for tomorrow.

Raine went about their day, catching bugs and donating them to Blather's museum. After a long day of chores and accomplishments, Raine sat by the river to think about their picture perfect life in Floralia. Everything here was perfect. The animals were friendly, the weather was rarely bad, and aside from the mean wasps and creepy tarantulas, it seemed so calm. Absolutely nothing was out or place or wrong.

Wished it was the same back home. As far as they knew, Mother was the only one in their family who knew where they were right now. Or even if they had a bed to sleep on.

Raine's deep thought was interrupted by a shadow blocking the moon. "Hmm?"

They looked up to see a present attached by string to a balloon. "Oh cool!" Raine said, immediately taking out their slingshot. Before they shot it down, they noticed something unusual about the flying object. Now, usually the balloons carrying boxes were an assortment of colors. This one was black. A very gloomy black.

"That's new..." Raine thought. Who is the one sending these presents by balloon anyway?

It didnt matter, it was popped as quickly as it was sighted.

Catching the present in their hands, Raine took a look at the box. It was kinda dirty, and it had a big purple stain on the bottom. Quickly disposing the box, they revealed the contents inside.

"Seeds?" Raine asked themself.

It was indeed, a bag of seeds. However, instead of a small paper bag, it was made of burlap with purple mold on it. Inside were seeds that looked like dark purple peach stones. "This must be some really rare peach seeds...cool! Tom wanted me to plant new stuff anyway." Raine said.

As Raine took out their shovel, they put the bag on the ground.

"I'll only plant one." They said.

The seed was in the ground, ready to be watered. After a drink of crisp and clean water, Raine took the rest of the seeds back to their house. As they changed into their pajamas and got into bed, they had some thoughts about the day before going to sleep.

"Might as well go visit Theo tommorow." Raine thought, blushing.

As Raine drifted off the sleep, they had no idea of the danger that was coming.
