Brittney's nightmare

[Brittney's pov]

It was nighttime on the Benatar I was sound asleep on my bed. My dream stated to become a nightmare.

I was dreaming that I was with Gamora who I was friends with for 5 years ago. Me and her was at Vormir with Thanos.

It was like the same way Thanos did 5 years ago. Gamora tried to stop Thanos from sacrificing her by trying to gut herself with her knife like she did before. It got turned into bubbles.

"no! Thanos you can't do this!" I shouting not wanting to lose my friend.

Thanos didn't put tape on my mouth like he did to me. He keep going and sacrifice Gamora for the soul stone.

"no!" I screamed closing my eyes.

When I opened my eyes I screamed, "no!"

I saw myself still in my bunk on my bed aboard the Benatar I took some deep breathes to keep myself calm.

"it was a dream." I told myself.

I had never had a nightmare before on the Benatar. I was wearing my purple pj that I bought when I went shopping with my team. I was guardian for a couple of months now.

Boy that dream I had really scared me but there had to be a way to make me feel better.

"Maybe I should get a drink of water that will make me feel better." I told myself.

I pulled the blanket off me and left my bunk.

I tiptoed through hall doing my best not to make up my team.

When I got to the kitchen, I got myself a cup and went over to the fridge and got a picture of water. I poured myself a cup of water begin very quiet. After I quietly put the picture of water back to the fridge

then I drink my water. After I finished my cup, I put my cup way in the dishwasher. I was about to go back to my bunk then I felt tapped on my shoulder I turned around and saw Peter.

"hi Peter." I said.

"Brittney, are you alright? I heard you scream I came to make sure you're alright." Peter said worriedly.

"I'm fine Peter; I had a nightmare. I'm sorry I woke you up."

"it's alright Brittney. What was your nightmare about?" he asked me.

I got remind of the day Thanos sacrifice Gamora for the soul stone that happened 5 years ago." I told him.

Peter had a surprised look on his face, "I wish I could have gone to Vormir to save you and Gamora from Thanos instead of titan."

"I know I have been blaming myself since Gamora died." I said.

"Brittney it's not your fault you can't blame yourself for what happened." Peter told me.

"I know you're right Peter Gamora wouldn't want me to be hard on myself." I said.

"that's right Brittney you have other friends beside Gamora. You still have me , Drax, mantis, rocket." Said peter.

"of course, Groot Nebula and all my friends on earth." I added.

"exactly Brittney."

I gave peter a warm smile. Peter was very wise and knows how cheer me up when I get worried.

"thank you, Peter I feel much better." I said ready to go back to bed.

"we should get back to sleep we don't want to wake up the others." Peter replied.

"your right."

we both went to the hall and I stopped to my bunk.

"are you going to be alright for the rest of the night?" peter asked me.

"I'll be alright Peter."

"ok I'll see you in the morning." Peter said.

"Ok."

Peter left to go to his bunk. I opened the door and closed it behind me and went to bed to get some rest I dreamed about me and my team saving the galaxy.
