May Contain Spoilers For Wings Of Fire Book 9, Talons Of Power

Disclaimer: I don't own Wings Of Fire, because if I did, this all would have happened.

Turtle suddenly felt sick.

"I gave my sister Animus powers," He gasped, quiet enough so no one could hear.

Anemone's coconut went flying with such ease it made Turtle's stomach lurch.

Maybe I gave her too much, and most of my soul along with it.

He silently slipped out of the room, which was an easily done feat, given everyone was focused on the SeaWing princess.

He enchanted a flat, white stone to heal him when he touched it.

Turtle dragged it over the small scar on his foot, which was hardly noticeable. It almost instantly healed, erasing any trace of the light pink snag in his foot.

I still have my powers

He sighed and sat back down. His sister walked out of the door, and Turtle's insides violently twisted once again.

She's way more calm than I thought she would be about this, he thought.

He slid past the dragons excitedly whispering about their new Animus, and pulled Anemone away from the crowd.

"How do you feel about being an Animus?" He asked her, pleased when her face lit up.

"I love it!" She cried joyfully. "It's like I can do whatever I want! So cool, right?"

"It really is," He sighed, beginning wondering if this had been a bad idea.

"It was a lot easier today though."

"What do you mean, 'Today'?" Turtle's tail was anxiously curling around his talons.

"I've always been able to do magic, silly! I must be getting better, because it was a lot easier today," She mused, her head in her talons with a slightly irritated expression.

Turtle couldn't breath. Did he just give his sister even more Animus powers? Was that even possible? Could this make his one year old sister, just a tiny dragonet, the most powerful dragon in all of Pyrrhia history?

And if so, what would happen to Anemone?

Hey! I hope you enjoyed the intro chapter to my new Wings Of Fire FanFic, "Play With Fire."

I'll try to update at least once a month, because I'll be making the chapters a lot longer than this.
