Chapter 1: Professor Kukui's mistake
-Professor Kukui's house 8:30am-
"Kukui, you feeling all right, you haven't touched your breakfast. Are you feeling all right?" Professor Burnet asked as she looked at Kukui, then placed her left hand down onto her pregnant belly.
"Huh, oh, sorry, I guess… I guess… I guess, I'm not very hungry this morning."
Professor Kukui said, then laughed nervously.
"Are you sure you're-"
Started Professor Burnet, but got interrupted by Kukui.
"I have to go out and get some air, I'll be back in a few minutes Burnet."
Professor Kukui said as he got up to leave, then made his way towards the door with Incineroars, Rowlet, Lycanroc, Melmetal, and Rotom Dex watching him go.
"I'll come with-"
Started Professor Burnet, as she got up but got interrupted by Kukui.
"No, Burnet!"
Snapped Professor Kukui.
"Uh!"
Gasped Professor Burnet.
"I'm… I'm… I'm sorry Burnet, I just… I just- I just need to be alone for a while that's all!" Professor Kukui exclaimed as he opened up the door, then walked out.
"Kukui…"
Whispered Professor Burnet, as she started to tear up.

-Outside of the airport-
Professor Kukui has his hands down by his sides, looks out over the Alolan ocean, thinks about the memories that he had with Ash, lowers his head down, clenches up his hands into fists, starts shaking, starts sobbing with tears developing into his eyes, then lets his tears stream down his cheeks.
"What… what… what- WHAT HAVE I DONE!"
Professor Kukui cried out, as he collapsed down onto the ground onto his knees, took his sunglasses off, threw them in rage away from him, then covered his teary face with his hands.
"Professor Kukui!"
Called out Rotom Dex. As he, Incineroars, Rowlet, Lycanroc, and Melmetal came over to where Professor Kukui was at, but then they stopped when they saw him lying down on the ground now crying, with his hands still covering up his teary face.
"I'm sorry…"
Said Professor Kukui, in a whispered tone then passed out.

-Hokulani observatory 9:00am-
-In the Living Room…
"Kukui, Kukui, Kukui you awake?"
Whispered Molayne, as he rubbed Kukui's left arm.
Professor Kukui starts to wake up now, he looks around the room, notices that he's lying down on a couch with his head down on a pillow, his hat and sunglasses were off, looked at Rotom Dex, Incineroars, Rowlet, Lycanroc, and Melmetal who were in the room, then looked at Molayne and DJ Leo who were on opposite sides on the couch next to him.
"Where am I?"
Asked Professor Kukui, as he rubbed his head with his left hand.
"You're at my place Kukui,"
Explained Molayne.
"You were out for a couple of hours,"
Replied DJ Leo.
"How did I get here?"
Asked Professor Kukui.
"Rotom came and got us, told us where you were, and then we brought you over here to Molayne's." DJ Leo explained.
Professor Kukui sat up, pulled his knees to his chest, crossed his arms over his knees, then laid his head down on top of his arms.
"Kukui, what's wrong? You seem like you've been crying."
Molayne said, as he noticed some tears in Kukui's eyes.
"Huh, oh, so I have! Would you look at that."
Laughed Professor Kukui, as he dried his tears away with his left arm.
"Kukui…"
Whispered DJ Leo, as he looked at Kukui with a sad expression on his face.
Professor Kukui looked at his left arm that was wet with his tears, starts tearing up again, then covers his mouth with his left hand.
"No, way…"
Whispered DJ Leo, as tears started to develop into his eyes.
"Kukui, what happen?"
Asked Molayne, as he was also tearing up as well.
Professor Kukui removes his hand away from his mouth.
"This… this… this- THIS IS ALL MY FAULT!"
Professor Kukui cried out in tears.
"Kukui, what happen?"
Asked DJ Leo through his tears.
Professor Kukui dried his tears away from his face with his left arm.
"When Ash and I were walking back to my place, right after Pokémon School Ash was asking me about what he should do next, since the Alola League was over. So, I… so I… So, I said something stupid that I regret saying to him, and that it was this. I think, its for you to figure out!" Professor Kukui cried, as his tears started to roll down his cheeks.
"Kukui, no."
Whispered Molayne, as his tears started to roll down his cheeks as well.
"So, I regret it. And I regret everything! Everything, everything that I have done for Ash I regret it! Having Ash come to the Pokémon School, letting him stay with me at my home, giving him a place to sleep, giving him food, spending time with him. I regret it all, all of it! And… and… and having Ash here was just… was just… was just- a big mistake!" Professor Kukui cried, as he covered his teary face with his hands.
"Kukui, don't say that! Don't say that please! I know, I know you don't mean that about Ash!" DJ Leo cried, as his tears were rolling down his cheeks too.
"Of course, I do Leo! I mean every word of it all! And if I hadn't told Ash, that he had to figure out what to do next, and if Ash hadn't left right away I would have gotten my chance to tell Ash something important, like why I don't want you to leave because I have- Uh!" Professor Kukui gasped, then stopped himself when he saw images in his eyes about him and Ash being together as father and son.
"Kukui, what's wrong?"
Asked Molayne.
Professor Kukui frowned, narrowed his eyebrows, then closed his eyes.
"Kukui, what's wrong?"
Asked DJ Leo as he dried his tears away with his left arm, then looked back at Kukui.
"It's nothing, just forget about it!"
Said Professor Kukui, as he got up from off of the couch.
"Kukui, what's going on?"
Asked DJ Leo.
"Fine, I'll tell you. If I hadn't told Ash, about figuring out what to do next. And if Ash hadn't left right away, I would have told Ash how I felt!" Professor Kukui snapped, as he turned back around to look back at Molayne and DJ Leo.
"Uh! Kukui, do you have-"
Started Molayne, but got interrupted by Kukui.
"Ever since Ash came here to the Alola region, I've started to have these strong feelings for Ash. Whenever Ash was around me, or whenever Ash and I went out somewhere whether its to the Pokémon School, Nina's Pancake restaurant, the outdoor market, or coming over here, or even at my house. Ash is always there for me, and I'm always there for him. Whether he's hurt, scared, lonely, or sad I'm there for him! and when Ash fought against Guzma at the Pokémon School and at the Alola League instead of me! I thought… I thought- I thought that was just amazing! And I just can't imagine what my whole life, and what my future would have been like if Ash wasn't here!" Professor Kukui cried, as he dried his tears away with his left arm, then had new tears appearing in his eyes.
"Kukui…"
Cried DJ Leo, as tears were streaming down his cheeks.
"I have a Father-son relationship with Ash! And I don't care, if Ash didn't feel anything, or felt the same way as I did because you know why? Because it's over and its never going to happen! And I know that… and I know that Professor Burnet and I are expecting a baby soon, but you know what? It's not going to be the same without Ash here, and you know what else? That's okay, because I'll just have to live with it for the rest of my life now, until the day I die!" Professor Kukui cried, as tears started to stream down his cheeks.
"Kukui…"
Whispered DJ Leo, as he dried his tears away from his face.
"Kukui, it's all right."
Said Molayne as he got up, walked over to Kukui, then wrapped his arms around Kukui to comfort him in a hug.
Professor Kukui breaks away from Molayne.
"I need to go lie down now, and just… and just- and just forget about everything that I've said!" Professor Kukui cried, as he ran away from Molayne, opened up the door to the room with the many bunk beds, then slammed the door shut.
"Oh, Kukui…"
Cried Molayne, as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"No, way…"
Cried DJ Leo, as tears streamed down from his cheeks too.

-Inside of the room with the many bunk beds…
"If I touch a burning candle I can feel no pain, if he cuts me with a knife it's still the same, and I know my heart is beating, try and tell me it's not real, and it seems that I still have a tear to… to… to- to shed!" Professor Kukui sang through his tears, placed a pillow over his face to hide his teary face, then turned over on his right side on the lower bed that he was lying down on.
Molayne opens up the door a little bit, sees that Kukui is in pain, then shuts the door quietly without waking Kukui up.

-Back in the Living room…
"How's he doing?"
Asked DJ Leo, as he dried the remaining tears away from his face with his left arm.
"Kukui, he's um… Kukui, he's… he's- he's heartbroken!"
Molayne cried as he removed his glasses from his face, dried his tears away, then put his glasses back on onto his face.
"Uh! No, way…"
Gasped DJ Leo as he was trying not to cry again.
"I just can't believe this… I can't believe this! I'm sorry to say this Leo, but um… I think Kukui has a point about Ash." Molayne said, as he took a deep breath.
"Molayne, no!"
Cried DJ Leo, as tears were developing into his eyes now.
"Yes Leo! If Ash… If Ash… If Ash had only felt the same way, like Kukui did about him Ash wouldn't have left, but you know what though he did! And I can't bare to see Kukui like this! I can't bare to see him in pain! This is not Kukui's fault, this is Ash's fault!" Molayne cried out, with tears streaming down from his cheeks.
"Molayne stop it! Just stop and listen to yourself all right! This is neither Kukui's fault or Ash's fault here all right!" DJ Leo snapped, as he placed his hands down on Molayne's shoulders.
"Yes, it is Ash's fault! All of those things that Kukui has done for Ash, was for nothing! Nothing! And what, this was all just some low life visit to Ash! Did Ash think, that what Kukui and him have was not real! I saw… I saw that Kukui and Ash both, had this father-son relationship together! And Ash just saw it as nothing, but a stepping stone to push back on, and to get through this region as quickly as possible so that way, Ash would move on to the next one!" Molayne cried out in range, as he clenched his hands up into fists by his sides.
"Molayne stop! Hold on just a minute here! You know, you know, you know very well and clear that, that is not true here!" DJ Leo snapped.
"Of course, it's true Leo! How did you think, that Ash got all of those Z-crystals so quickly? It's because he blew through all of those trials, like it was nothing to him and also because he cheated! He didn't deserve any of those Z-crystals!" Molayne cried.
"Molayne stop it! And snap out of it! You know very well, that Ash did not cheat at those trials, and you know very well, that he fought hard to deserve those Z-crystals!" DJ Leo snapped.
Molayne tries to calm down now, then takes a deep breath.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said those things about Ash. I don't know, what came over me like this." Molayne said, as he walked on over to the couch to sit down.
"It's all right Molayne, it's not your fault here. And neither is it Kukui's or Ash's faults." DJ Leo replied, as he sat down next to Molayne.
"I have an idea. We should talk to Burnet about this. Because, I know for a fact, that she was just upset as Kukui was when Ash left. So, we should have her come over and talk to her." Molayne suggested.
"I think, that sounds like a great idea. And I think, we should let the Island kahunas know about this too." DJ Leo replied.
"Right!"
Said Molayne.
…
-Back inside of the room with the many bunk beds…
-Knock- knock- knock-
Professor Kukui lifts his head up from the pillow that was covering his teary face.
"Go away please!"
Sighed Professor Kukui, then placed his head back down into the pillow.
"Kukui, can you come out please! We want to talk to you."
Molayne said through the door.
"…"
No response back from Kukui.
Molayne opens up the door, walks inside of the room, walks on over to where Kukui is at, then grabs a hold of Kukui's left arm to pull him off of the bed now.
"Come on Kukui, it's time to get up now."
Molayne said, as he dragged Kukui off of the bed.
Professor Kukui gets his arm out of Molayne's grasp, sits back on up, then sits down on the ground with his arms crossed over his chest.
"What does Go away, did you people not understand!"
Professor Kukui snapped, as he looked towards Molayne, then turned his head away from him.
"Kukui, come on you need to get up."
Said Molayne.
"No, I'm not leaving! I'm staying in here, until my body decays, rots, smells, and gives the walls mold!" Professor Kukui snapped.
"Burnet's here,"
Replied Molayne.
Professor Kukui snapped his eyes open, stood back on up, then walked out of the room with Molayne.
-Back in the Living room…
"Alola Kukui,"
Smiled Hala, as he saw Professor Kukui, walk into the Living room with Molayne.
Professor Kukui looks around and sees that the Island kahunas Hala, Nanu, Hapu, and Olivia were there, including Professor Burnet as well.
"What is this?"
Asked Professor Kukui, as he wasn't sounding too happy about this.
"This is an intervention Kukui,"
Explained Hala.
"Well, intervention or not, I'm going back to bed now!"
Professor Kukui snapped, as he turned back around, then started to walk away.
"We didn't come over here to lecture you, or to say anything negative to you Kukui." Nanu explained.
"Heh, ain't that a first."
Laughed Kukui, as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"We came here Kukui, because we want to talk to you about Ash. And about the relationship that you and Ash had together." Olivia explained, in her serious tone.
"Heh, and… you actually think, that I'm feeling up to talking about that right now? Well, news flash Olivia I'm not! And another thing, that I would like to say here. Since when did my relationship with Ash, become a big concern to all of you Island kahunas in the first place, or became your business?" Professor Kukui asked, as he turned back around then looked at each of the Kahunas.
"Because, because we see how well, that you treat Ash especially with love, kindness, and affection to him. And that there, is what makes your father-son relationship special with Ash." Hapu explained.
"Heh, sure it does."
Said Professor Kukui, under his breath.
"Kukui, why don't you sit down with us, so we can talk more about this please."
DJ Leo suggested, as he saved Kukui a seat on the couch next to him.
"All right fine, I guess I have no choice then, now do I?"
Professor Kukui sighed, then sat down in the middle next to DJ Leo on the couch, with Molayne next to Kukui on the opposite side.
"Talking about this more, will make you feel a whole lot better Kukui."
Molayne said.
"Oh, boy can't wait!"
Said Professor Kukui, in a sarcastic tone.
"Intervention is now in session!"
Announced Olivia.
Nanu steps up first, walks over to the center of the floor, sits down in a chair, crosses his arms over his chest, then looks straight at Kukui.
"First order of business, there are some rules about interventions like this. Rule number 1, you will stay quiet while the Kahunas speak to you. Rule number 2, you will not interrupt us Kahunas while we are speaking. Rule number 3, if we ask you a question, we expect an answer. And last but not least Rule number 4, if you lie to us Kahunas while under oath, you will have to face a punishment. Have we made ourselves clear?" Nanu asked, in his serious tone.
"Yes, sir!"
Replied Professor Kukui.
"Good,"
Said Nanu.
"Nanu, you will go first."
Announced Olivia.
Nanu nods his head, then looks back towards Professor Kukui.
"Why didn't you tell Ash how you felt, about being with him? And why were you hiding your feelings from him like this? Nanu asked, as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Because, because I didn't think, that it was an appropriate time to tell him. And I wasn't hiding these feelings, I was keeping them more to myself, than if I told Ash." Professor Kukui explained.
"Heh, that sounds like one of the most pathetic, lame, ass excuses that I have ever heard of up until now." Nanu said.
"Well, it's the truth!"
Snapped Professor Kukui.
"Why are you being so hard on him, just because he has fatherly feelings for Ash?"
Acerola asked, as she came into the room.
"What are you doing here Acerola, didn't I instruct you to stay home?"
Nanu asked, in his scary tone as he looked towards Acerola as she came in.
"You did, but I didn't listen."
Smiled Acerola.
"Uhhhh, of course you didn't, how foolish of me."
Sighed Nanu.
"What are you doing here Acerola?"
Asked Professor Kukui.
"Well, I heard that the Island Kahunas were going to give you an intervention, so I decided to come over, and to be apart of it as well." Acerola explained, with a warm smile across her face.
"You are most certainly, not going to be apart of this intervention Acerola! And further-more, you are not an Island Kahuna. So, therefore you will sit down, be quiet, and not say another word is that clear Acerola?" Nanu asked in his scary tone, as he looked towards Acerola.
"I have opinions too you know!"
Snapped Acerola, towards Nanu as she stomped her left foot.
"We will discuss your punishment later Acerola, until then you will sit down, keep quiet, and not interrupt. Do I make myself clear?" Nanu asked, in his scary tone once again.
Acerola frowns at Nanu, sits down on the ground with her hands down in her lap, then puffed out her cheeks and her lips to indicate that she was mad.
"What a meanie!"
Said Acerola, as she puffed out her cheeks and her lips towards Nanu, indicating that she was mad at him, and that made Kukui giggle a little.
Professor Kukui giggles at that.
"Is there something funny, that you would like to share with the rest of us Kahunas?" Nanu asked, as he looked towards Professor Kukui, then raised an eyebrow at him.
"No, no there isn't. I apologize Nanu."
Gulped Professor Kukui.
"I didn't think so,"
Said Nanu, as he turned towards Hala and Olivia, nodded his head towards them both, stood back on up, then walked back on over to where Hapu was sitting at.
Hala, Olivia nods towards Nanu, then they stand up, and walk on over to the center of the floor to sit down in a crossed leg position.
"Professor Kukui, please join me and Olivia over here please."
Suggested Hala, as he motioned Kukui to come over with his right hand.
"We're going to do a special intervention with you Kukui, so would you mind joining us over here please?" Olivia said, as she motioned Kukui to come over with her right hand.
Professor Kukui takes in a deep breath now.
-Professor Kukui's mind:"Do it for Ash Kukui, do this for Ash."
"Professor Kukui?"
Said Hala.
"Uh! Sorry, my apologies Hala, Olivia."
Said Kukui as he snapped out of his thoughts, stood up, then walked to the center of the floor where Hala and Olivia were at.
"Please sit down with us Kahunas, so we get started Kukui."
Olivia instructed.
"Right!"
Replied Professor Kukui, as he sat down on the ground in a crossed leg position with Hala and Olivia.
"How are you feeling right now Kukui?"
Asked Hala.
"Nervous, right now. My hands are shaking, my heart is beating fast, and I don't know, what's going to happen." Professor Kukui explained.
"Then shall we meditate together, to help you calm your nerves professor?"
Hala suggested.
"Yes, please."
Said Professor Kukui.
"Then let us begin, shall we?"
Suggested Hala.
"Of course!"
Replied Olivia.
Professor Kukui, Hala, and Olivia closes their eyes now, then sits still in a meditating pose for at least 10 minutes.

10 minutes are almost up now, and Professor Kukui starts fidgeting now. His hands are twitching, his feet are twitching, and his eyes are twitching a little.
"Hmmmm,"
Said Hala, as he felt Kukui's movements with his eyes.
Professor Kukui takes in deep breaths in between to relax.
"And time!"
Announced Olivia.
Professor Kukui let's out a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, thank goodness it's all over now."
Professor Kukui said, with a sigh of relief as he placed his right hand down onto his heart.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha! Not so fast, my young Kukui."
Laughed Hala.
"Huh, I don't understand."
Said Professor Kukui, as he had a puzzled look on his face.
"While we were meditating into the last 9 minutes of our session, I sensed that you were distracted, and had a hard time keeping still. Tell me Kukui, do you have a lot on your mind right now?" Hala asked.
Professor Kukui gulps at Hala's question, then felt his cheeks turning pink with embarrassment.
"No, no I don't!"
Said Professor Kukui quickly.
"You do realize that lying under oath, to us Island Kahunas is against the rules right? And that could lead to punishment." Nanu explained, as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Kukui?"
Asked Olivia, as she raised an eyebrow at Kukui.
Professor Kukui looks up at Hala, Olivia, then nods his head in response.
"Yes, I do. I do have a lot on my mind right now."
Replied Professor Kukui.
"I'm sorry Kukui, but for lying under oath to us Kahunas, we will have to punish you!''Hala explained, in his serious tone.
"Uh! No, you can't do that! That's not fair!"
Cried Acerola, as she stood back on up in shock!
"Acerola, what did I say about keeping quiet?!"
Snapped Nanu, as he turned towards Acerola quickly.
"But that's not fair! Why do you have to be so cold like that? I know, I know I'm not an Island Kahuna, but I have a lot to say about this, and I'm saying that you're being too harsh on Kukui like this! It's not his fault for letting Ash go, it's not his fault for not telling Ash how he felt, and it's certainly not his fault for keeping these emotions to himself like this! And don't you think, that the real reason why Kukui couldn't tell Ash how he felt was because, was maybe because he was afraid, of what Ash might think or say to him? Did that ever occur to you uncle?!" Cried Acerola.
"Uh!"
Gasped Professor Kukui.
Professor Kukui's mind "That's it! That's why, that's why I couldn't tell Ash about how I felt! What… what… what have I done."
"Hmmmm,"
Said Nanu as he was thinking, about what Acerola said.
"Hmmmm,"
Said Hala, Olivia as they were both thinking, about what Acerola said too.
"I haven't thought about it like that. All right, we'll make that, as an exception."
Replied Nanu, as he showed a little smile across his face.
"Thank you, uncle."
Smiled Acerola, then sighed with relief.
"Uhhhh, the things I do for you."
Groaned Nanu, as he rubbed the back of his head with his left hand.
"I guess, there is a soft side in you after all."
Giggled Acerola.
"Don't push it!"
Snapped Nanu, as he blushed a little.
Acerola giggled again.
"Thank you,"
Whispered Kukui, over to Acerola with a little smile across his face.
Acerola smiles, nods her head in response, then winks at him with her right eye.
"But however, that's still no excuse, for why you lied under oath to us Kahunas!"
Snapped Olivia.
"But still, considering that Acerola made a good, reasonable statement about it we Island Kahunas will accept it." Hala replied, as he nodded his head towards Kukui.
"Thank you Hala,"
Smiled Kukui.
"We will accept this reasonable statement on one condition, you have to promise to us Island Kahunas that you will never lie to us, under oath ever again do I make myself clear, and are you capable enough to do that Kukui?" Olivia asked, in her serious tone.
Professor Kukui takes a deep breath, then looks back up at Olivia.
"Yes, I am capable enough to do that. And I promise, to never lie under oath ever again." Professor Kukui replied.
"Good,"
Said Olivia, as she showed a little smile across her face.
"But however, if you do break your promise to us Island Kahunas, and you lie to us under oath again, then we will have no choice, but to punish you for that matter. Do I make myself clear Professor Kukui?" Explained Hala, in his serious tone as he looked towards Kukui.
"Yes, sir! I understand."
Replied Professor Kukui, then nodded his head to indicate that he understood.
"Very good, and now, let us begin with your special intervention with us."
Said Hala.
"Right!"
Replied Professor Kukui.
"Olivia, if you would please."
Said Hala, as he looked towards Olivia.
Olivia nods her head towards Hala, then takes out a Poké Ball from out of her right-side pocket from her crème colored sweater.
"Ribombee, come on out please!"
Instructed Olivia.
The Poké Ball opens on up now, then reveals Mina's Pokémon Ribombee.
"Wait a minute, is that Mina's Ribombee?" Gasped Professor Kukui, as he saw it in front of him.
"Yes, it is."
Replied Olivia.
"I thought that Ribombees only sensed a Pokémon's feelings?"
Asked Professor Kukui, as he looked at Ribombee floating in front of him.
"They do, but for this intervention, we have asked Mina's permission to use her Ribombee to sense your feelings, for how you feel about Ash deep down inside." Hala explained.
"And the only way to do that, is to have Ribombee here sense your feelings, so that way you can get those strong emotions out, for how you feel about Ash deep down inside." Olivia explained.
"And I think, that Ribombee will work best, if you laid down flat on your back with your eyes closed." Hala explained.
"Uh! Well… I'm not so sure, if I'll be-"
Started Kukui, but got interrupted by Nanu.
"You'll feel more comfortable laying down, as if you were sitting up."
Explained Nanu.
"As much as I want to disagree on that, I think Nanu's right here, I think Ribombee will have a better chance at sensing your feelings, if you laid down instead. You'll feel not only comfortable but also relaxed as well. Why don't you give it a try Professor Kukui?" Acerola suggested.
"Well, I guess… I guess, I can give it a try."
Said Professor Kukui, as he sounded nervous about it.
"That's good, and very positive thinking there Kukui."
Replied Hala.
"All right then, here goes nothing I guess."
Said Professor Kukui, as he took a deep breath, then started to lie down on the ground flat on his back, but then got stopped by Olivia.
"Hold on a minute here Kukui, Leo kins would you mind handing me that pillow right there, beside you please?" Olivia asked, as she pointed out the pillow to Leo.
"Sure, thing babe."
Replied DJ Leo, as he grabbed the pillow that was next to him, then threw it towards Olivia.
"Thank you, Leo kins!"
Exclaimed Olivia with a warm smile, then placed it underneath Kukui's head.
"No, problem babe."
Blushed DJ Leo.
"Wait a minute here, hold on a sec you guys are together?! How did that happen fast?" Gasped Professor Kukui as he was in shock.
"You introduced me to Olivia remember Kukui? And once I saw Olivia with my own two eyes, I knew it was love at first sight!" Exclaimed DJ Leo, as he clasped his hands together in awe.
"Oh, yeah that's right I did, didn't I. Well, I do have the way with the ladies after all. How did you think, I got Burnet?" Smirked Professor Kukui.
"Maybe because, she was hypnotized by the sight of your gorgeous looking abs?"
Guessed DJ Leo, with a smile.
"Heh, heh, heh, that's true, I do have gorgeous abs, don't I?"
Laughed Professor Kukui.
"I so was not!"
Laughed Professor Burnet, as she placed her right hand down onto her pregnant belly.
"Yay you were, and that was the time, when I came into Aether Paradise without a shirt on, and you got all strict on me by saying, if I ever came into Aether Paradise without a shirt on again, you would kick me out for good." Explained Professor Kukui, with a smirk.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha! That's right, and that's when I gave you my lab coat, because you wouldn't put a shirt on." Laughed Professor Burnet.
"Wait, is that true? Was that really, how you two met for the first time?"
Asked DJ Leo.
"Absolutely!"
Exclaimed Professor Burnet. "And I still think, that Kukui's abs are still sexy to this day with or without a shirt on." As she clasped her hands together, then smiled.
"Heh, heh, heh, you know me too well babe. Especially, when you can't keep your eyes off of them." Laughed Professor Kukui.
"I do, and you make the most sexist husband, and Masked Royal in the entire world! No, wait universe!" Exclaimed Professor Burnet.
"No way! You were the Masked Royal, all this time Kukui?!"
Gasped DJ Leo, as he was impressed.
"You bet I was Leo! And you know, now that I think about it. I might want a certain, special, someone to play the role of Mrs. Royal to be by my side for Battle Royal battles." Explained Professor Kukui, as he smiled over at Burnet.
"You… you… you want me to… to… to be Mrs. Royal?!"
Exclaimed Professor Burnet, as she felt her face turning blushed red.
"You bet I do, and who else would do it better, than yourself."
Smiled Professor Kukui.
"AHHHHHHH! Yes, yes, yes, yes! I can definitely see myself now, being Mrs. Royal! By being in a beautiful white long-sleeved silky shirt, short white flowy skirt, white leggings, white flats, a beautiful white masquerade mask to hide my identity, and long white ballroom gloves to match, by completing my Mrs. Royal costume with diamonds on it, that will shine brightly in the lights! Being Mrs. Royal is a dream come true! I'm so, surprised they didn't come up with that idea because, it sounds just amazing! Mr. and Mrs. Royal together on stage, at the Battle Royal Dome, is a dream come true!" Professor Burnet exclaimed, as she was trying to hold in her excitement but just couldn't, then felt the baby kick. "And the baby loves the idea too Kukui."
"I'm glad that you, and the baby like the idea Burnet,"
Smiled Kukui.
"We don't just like it Kukui, we love it!"
Exclaimed Professor Burnet, as she had hearts in her eyes now.
"I'm glad,"
Smiled Kukui.
"Excuse me, I hate to be a party pooper here, but we still have Professor Kukui's intervention to continue here." Nanu explained.
"Of course, thank you Nanu. But before we continue on, there's something important that Leo and I need to announce here. Leo, would you mind coming over here to join me please?" Olivia said.
"Of course,"
Said DJ Leo, as he got up from off of the couch, then walked on over to where Olivia was at.
"Ready Leo?"
Asked Olivia.
"Ready Olivia,"
Replied DJ Leo.
"1, 2, 3! We're engaged!"
Exclaimed Olivia, DJ Leo. As Olivia showed off her engagement ring.
"What?! No way! That's amazing you two!"
Exclaimed Professor Kukui, as he was surprised by that news.
"Congratulations you two!"
Smiled Hala, as he was surprised by that news too.
"Thank you Hala, we're both very happy!"
Smiled Olivia.
"Where did DJ Leo propose to you at and where?"
Asked Acerola, as she was in awe by the announcement too.
"He proposed to me in Malie city at the garden, and it was the most romantic, beautiful proposal ever! And it was yesterday during the day." Explained Olivia with a smile across her face.
"What? No, way! I'm so jealous right now! Malie Garden is the most romantic spot to be proposed to!" Exclaimed Professor Burnet, as she was in awe, then felt the baby kick. "The baby agrees too." As she felt the kick, with her right hand.
"What about my proposal?! I thought being proposed to on the beach, in the sunset was romantic and beautiful?" asked Professor Kukui as he was in shock!
"I'm not complaining Kukui, if that's what you're thinking."
Winked Professor Burnet, with her right eye then smiled.
"Ha, ha, ha! I guess, being proposed to in Malie Garden, does make it sound romantic doesn't?" Said Professor Kukui, with a smile.
"Congratulations, to both of you."
Smiled Nanu.
"We know, that you two, will be very happy together forever and ever."
Smiled Hapu.
"Thank you Hapu, that's so nice."
Smiled Olivia.
"Congratulations, to you both."
Smiled Molayne.
"Congratulations, to you both as well!"
Replied Rotom Dex.
"Thank you, each and every one of you."
Smiled Olivia.
"And now, let us Island Kahunas continue on, with Professor Kukui's intervention here." Replied Hala.
"Of course, Professor Kukui, please lie down for us Kahunas if you would please."
Olivia instructed.
"Of course,"
Said Professor Kukui, as he laid down on the ground with his head down onto the pillow that was behind his head.
Olivia sits behind Professor Kukui now.
"Ribombee, if you would please."
Said Olivia, as she motioned Ribombee to come over to Kukui.
"Ribombee!"
Said Ribombee, as it flew over to where Professor Kukui was at.
"And now let us begin!"
Exclaimed Hala.
"Right, close your eyes Kukui, and let Ribombee here, sense your feelings that you have for Ash. And then, tell us Kahunas what you see, hear, or feel about that memory. Including whatever else, comes to your mind." Explained Olivia, as she closed Kukui's eyelids down with both of her hands, then kept Kukui's head still from moving around with her hands.
"You may begin Ribombee!"
Replied Hala, as he nodded towards Ribombee to proceed with the process.
Ribombee flies back on over to Professor Kukui, then stands on his head while flapping its wings to sense Kukui's feelings about Ash.
Professor Kukui has his eyes closed now, and staying relaxed.
"Other Kahunas Nanu, Hapu please come to the center to be with us."
Hala instructed.
"Right!"
Replied Nanu, Hapu as they got up, came over to where Kukui was at, then sat down in front of him.
Professor Kukui's eyes start twitching now, because his first memory is coming up now that Ribombee is sensing.
"What are you seeing Kukui, and what's going on?"
Asked Hala.
Professor Kukui tries to focus on the first memory, that he and Ash had together.
"I see… I see… I see myself in the kitchen right now, I'm just about to start dinner when all of a sudden Ash brings Litten into the house. Litten has a Heliolisk collar around its neck, and I'm stunned by the fact, that Ash would bring it inside of the house." Professor Kukui said, as he was starting to explain his first memory that he had with Ash.
"What else are you seeing Kukui, and do you see anything on Ash?"
Asked Olivia.
"Yes, I do. There's… there's… there's…"
Said Kukui, as he was trying to hold back his emotions, then covered his mouth with his left hand.
"Let your emotions come out Kukui, don't hold them back!"
Exclaimed Hala.
Professor Kukui uncovers his mouth with his hand, swallows, then starts to speak again.
"Ash has scratches! He has scratches all over his arms!"
Cried out Professor Kukui, as he was in tears now.
"What kind of emotions did you feel, when you saw that Ash was scratched up?"
Asked Hala.
Professor Kukui takes a deep breath now.
"I felt… I felt… I felt shocked, surprised that, that happened to Ash. But on the inside. I felt like I wanted to cry, because of what happened to him and I couldn't! So, afterwards before dinner, I did what any other parent would have done. I patched up Ash's arms that were badly scratched. And then after that, we had dinner together." Professor Kukui finished, then felt his tears streaming down his cheeks.
"That was very good Kukui, and very descriptive too."
Said Olivia.
"Bom, bom!"
Said Ribombee excitedly, as it was sensing another feeling.
"What's happening now Kukui?"
Asked Olivia, as she looked down at Professor Kukui.
"I'm seeing myself with Ash now, and we're at Nina's Pancake restaurant sitting down together while having lunch with each other." Explained Professor Kukui.
"What emotions are you both feeling?"
Asked Hala.
"Happy, we're feeling happy together, but its more of a warm, relieving happy feeling that we're both sharing together." Explained Professor Kukui.
"What do the Pancakes taste like Kukui?"
Asked Nanu, with a sinister smile.
"Nanu! That is an irrelevant question to be asking."
Snapped Olivia, as she looked towards Nanu with a serious expression on her face.
"My apologizes, Kahuna Olivia."
Said Nanu.
Olivia looks back down at Professor Kukui, to make sure that he was still relaxed and that his eyes were still closed and they were.
"Bom, bom!"
Said Ribombee excitedly, as it was sensing another feeling.
"Ribombee, seems to be sensing another feeling, that Professor Kukui has and I can feel it." Replied Hapu, as she closed her eyes.
"What are you seeing next Kukui? And please explain to us, what you are seeing."
Instructed Hala.
"I'm seeing… I'm seeing both Ash and Rockruff lying down on the ground exhausted and tired because, Ash was helping Rockruff do some special training, before it battled with the other Pokémon up on Clawmark Hill, and before it evolved into Lycanroc Dusk Form." Professor Kukui explained.
"What emotions are you feeling, when you are looking over at him?"
Asked Nanu.
"It's hard for me to tell, I'm… I'm… I'm not sure."
Replied Professor Kukui.
"Try!"
Exclaimed Nanu.
Professor Kukui tries to focus in on the memory, and tries to think how he's feeling when he's looking over at Ash whose exhausted and tired.
"I'm feeling… I'm feeling blessed, calming, and happy. And that, Ash looks so peaceful when he's asleep, almost like… almost like an angel." Explained Professor Kukui, as he showed a smile on his face.
"That was very good Kukui, those were very well descriptive words."
Smiled Olivia.
"Agreed,"
Replied Hala.
"Bom, Bom!"
Said Ribombee, as it was sensing another feeling.
"Ribombee, is picking up on another feeling!"
Exclaimed Nanu.
"What are you seeing next Kukui? And how are you feeling, towards that event?"
Asked Hapu.
"I'm seeing… I'm seeing another memory, where Leo's Dugtrio Michael, Jessica, and Ashley went missing, and Ash was helping us out, by having Rockruff track down the people who took Dugtrio, which was none other than Team Rocket.'' Professor Kukui explained.
"I remember that…"
Whispered DJ Leo, as tears started to develop into his eyes now.
"How did you feel about Ash helping, track down Team Rocket that took Dugtrio. What emotions were you feeling?" asked Hapu.
"I felt… I felt… I felt pleased, happy, and amazed by how well Ash was using Rockruff, to help us track down Team Rocket for us. And I couldn't have been more-proud of Ash, by helping us out to look for Dugtrio." Professor Kukui finished.
"Nicely done, my young Kukui. You are doing better, by bringing out your emotions like this for how you're feeling towards Ash." Hala explained.
"Thank you, Hala."
Said Professor Kukui.
"Bom, Bom!"
Said Ribombee, as it was sensing another feeling.
"What are you seeing next Kukui, and how are you feeling towards-"
Started Olivia, but then she got interrupted, when a skinny young boy, with messy black-short hair with red highlights, and blue eyes came bursting inside of Molayne's Living room while panicking.
"Professor Kukui, I need to speak with you immediately!"
Exclaimed the young trainer, towards Professor Kukui as he was still panicking.
"How did you get in here boy? You need to leave immediately, this instance. You are interrupting an intervention!" Snapped Nanu, as he got up walked over to the young trainer, then started to push him away, and back towards the way he came from.
"But I have to speak with Professor Kukui right now!"
Exclaimed the young trainer.
"I don't care,"
Said Nanu in an annoyed tone, as he kept pushing the young trainer away.
"But I have to though, because… because… because it's a matter of life and death situation here!" Exclaimed Go.
"I'm sure it is kiddo, now get lost!"
Snapped Nanu, as he gave Go a final push towards the door, where he came in at.
"It's about Ash!"
Exclaimed Go, as he turned back around quickly, then ran back on over to Professor Kukui.
"Uh!"
Gasped Professor Kukui, as he snapped his eyes open, then jumped up quickly when he heard Ash's name."Who are you? And how do you know my name?"
"My name is Go, I'm from Vermillion city, and I know you professor because, Ash has talked to me about you. And I need to speak with you immediately, because Ash has just been captured right now, and I don't know what to do!" Cried out Go, as tears began to develop into his eyes now.
"Uh! Ash…"
Gasped Professor Kukui, as he was shocked by that news now.
