Hello people! I have this little theory.. and I can provide evidence for it. This might be kind of obvious, but I don't care. I want to share it with the people who haven't already figured this out.

My theory is:Hair. More specifically, Elsa's hair. While watching the movies of the Frozen story, I've noticed that Elsa's hair changes as she does.
In the beginning of the movie, Elsa's hair is up in a tight braided-bun style. This is also when she felt the most trapped. She had to hide her powers from the whole kingdom, as well as her sister, and her parents weren't even there to help or comfort her. And on top of all that, she had to become queen.
Then she sings Let It Go, and lets her hair down. She's free, right? Well Frozen 2 proves she isn't really- not yet anyways. Now her hair is in a loose braid, let down, but still not free, and it stays that way for a while.
In fact, it stays that way until she's trapped on an Island and has to cross the dark sea. She's SO CLOSE to getting the answer she's been waiting for! and what happens? Her hair is let down once more. But not all the way down. It's in a ponytail, so SO close to being free but there's still that ONE THING in between her and freedom. The dark sea, or the ponytail. I know that's a little silly, but you know what?! who cares! (haha)
Anyways, once she crosses the Dark sea there's this big transformation. Outfit change! and hair change! Now she's free, she knows the answer, her hair is straight down and flowing in the wind! And then of course she freezes and almost dies until her sister breaks the dam almost flooding Arendelle but Elsa saves it but we don't talk about that. (Hehe)
So this was really short but I really wanted to share this with you!
