Hi guys. Welcome to another musical tribute fan fiction of mine.
In celebration of the fifth anniversary of Harvey Beaks and the fiftieth anniversary of the Beatles' break-up and release of Let It Be, this is a crossover retelling between Harvey Beaks and the Beatles animated classic, Yellow Submarine.
The inspiration behind this story was the art work in Harvey beaks reminded me a lot of the art style in Yellow Submarine, and also Harvey Beaks ended around the time of Yellow Submarine's fiftieth anniversary but I wasn't into writing back then, so with these anniversaries both coming up, I thought I finally get my chance to share it after I wrote my first story, My Brother Queen as a tribute to Queen.
Now a little heads up, this story takes place after the Harvey Beaks finale, 'The End and the Beginning', so just keep that in mind.
And just to clarify I will use Beatles songs and I do not own any of them, (I'm not Paul or Ringo).
But enough about that, let's get this started.
Chapter 1: Let It Be
Friday night, a nice calm night were the Beaks family gets to spend some quality time with each other.
"Yay! Movie Night!", Harvey cheered all excited for another movie.
Harvey's father, Irving chuckled at the sight of his son all excited, "Yup, and it's your turn to choose the movie this week bud."
This caught Harvey off guard, "Oh yeah, I forgot."
"So what's it gonna be sweetie?" asked his mother Miriam.
"Oh, I haven't really thought about it", since Harvey forgot it was his turn to choose the movie, he didn't really know what to do. But then the little bird got an idea, "Why don't we look through movies together and see which looks good?"
"I don't see why not?", Irving said.
So the Beaks family searched through Nestflix to see if there was any movie that really caught their attention, but most of the movies were either too extreme for Harvey and Michelle (although Michelle really wanted to see those) or Irving or they already saw those, except one.
While they were still scrolling, one movie title caught Harvey's eye, "Hey what about that one?"
Miriam stopped scrollong at the movie Harvey noticed, an animated musical from the late 60's, "Yellow Submarine, I've heard of that one, it's the one with the Beatles."
"The Beatles?", Harvey asked.
"That famous British band from the 60's, you know the fab four", Irving said.
Harvey then realized who his father meant, "Oh yeah! I didn't know they made a cartoon movie."
"It's a classic son. Great music and crazy characters."
With that said, Harvey made up his mind, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get our groove on!"
Miriam and Irving both laughed at their son's excitement as they played the movie.
Later that night, Harvey was tucked in for bed. After watching the movie, he couldn't really sleep, he just kept humming the songs from the movie.
"Man those Beatles sure do make some good music. And an even better movie."
Harvey then looked and saw the photo of him and his family, along with his two best friends, Fee and Foo.
"Fee and Foo would have loved it too", then Harvey started to have flashbacks be thinking of all the good times he and the twins had together.
When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, Let it be
And my hour of darkness, she is standing right in front of me,
Speaking words of wisdom, Let it be
That one time he tried to get banded from the lake with the twin's help to go 'pe-choo!', and the time when they all got stuck in a tree with their friends and the three of them all jumped togehter.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted-people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, Let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that will see
There will be an answer, Let it be
And there was the time the twin's showed him that he doesn't always need a personal day planner to have fun.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Yeah, there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And the time he threw them the crazeist birthday party, the craziest party in Littlebark history.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Or the time Fee took his mom on a Bachelorette party while Foo and him took his dad on a questionable Bachelor party. before they could get remarried.
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
Speaking words of wisdom, Let it be
And he could never forget about when the twins were reunited with their long lost parents. And they left Littlebark.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Harvey then fell asleep, filled with the cherished memories and thoughts of all the best times he's had with his friends and family along with the iconic sounds of the Beatles still dancing in his head, began to dream.
Once upon a time... or maybe twice
There was an unearthly paradise called... Pepperland.
Alright everybody here we go!
All aboard for Pepperland!
The idea for the whole adventure to be a dream came from the 2-part Harvey Beaks special, "Steampunks".
Another thing is while the characters of Harvey Beaks are animals, The Beatles themselves are not, their still human, just don't ask why.
I know Let It Be wasn't in the original movie, let alone wasn't even released for the next two years, but that was the last single the Beatles had together. It was the perfect song to me for Harvey remembering the twins, I actually played it when I saw the finale and also the Steven Universe Future Finale last night.
I don't own Let It Be, all rights go to Apple Records.
Leave a comment below and tell me what you think. Until next time, stay groovy.
