"Good morning, beautiful creature. What have you done to be sentenced to this abhorrent breakfast?" Hawkeye's face was decorated with a big grin as he watched Major Emily Weiss taking seat opposite of him. Luckily the mess tent was pretty much full, so she did not have any other choice but to sit there.

She was already in her dress uniform, prepared to leave for the 8063rd. Her long shining hair was firmly tied into a ponytail and resting on her right shoulder. She raised her eyebrows and smiled at the Captain. "I don't know, but it must have been something really awful. Is this what you usually get or did they make it especially inedible because of me?" Looking suspiciously at her food, she took a sip from her glass.

'Her lips are so unbelievably red.' Hawkeye thought to himself.

"Oh, no. Don't take it personally. They just like the food to double as a chemical weapon as well." BJ added, taking a bite from something brown.

"Yes, the army is all about efficiency. Just last month our camp was also used for target practice." Hawkeye shrugged his shoulders, remembering the intense shelling. They lost one jeep then, but thankfully no one was seriously hurt. Silence stretched as no one had anything fitting to say, when Radar came running.

"Ma'am, ma'am! You are still here, good."

"Not for long, Radar. I have to leave in the next hour." Major Weiss checked her watch and quickly counted the things she needs to do before going. She promised Colonel Potter she would drop by his office and there are also some letters she needs to hand in.

"Sorry, ma'am. We just got orders. All travel has been suspended due to heavy sniper fire in the area." Radar showed her the text of the message and she looked it over in a hurry.

"But I have patients I need to see. What am I supposed to do? Conduct therapy by shouting into the forests of Korea? Damn it!" She handed the note back to the company clerk, who looked very unhappy as if her anger was directed at him. The doctors were sending her worrying glances as well.

"It has to be pretty bad for HQ to order this. Usually they term your travel as an unnecessary risk after you've been already shot or captured." Hawkeye offered as a solace, his bright blue eyes filled with sympathy when a thought came to him. "At least you are stuck here with us. We're the hottest potatoes in this country." He said softly, winking in her direction.

"We will show you all the best bits of Korea, like the Officers' bar, Rosie's or the Swamp. " BJ agreed, trying to flush the taste of the mess food with coffee.

"Basically places you can drink to forget you are in Korea." Hawkeye said with a smile, finishing second slice of a toasted bread.
