"Hey does anyone know where Midoriya is?" Todoroki asks his classmates around him. They all look around like they've also noticed him missing. Minoru chimes in after a moment. "I think I saw him go down the hall. Probably had to take a huge dump or something."
Todoroki leaves the classroom without giving anyone another glance. He makes his way down the hallway till he sees a classroom down slightly open. He peaks in to see a slouched figure sitting in a desk. Todoroki immediately recognizes Midoriys's dark hair that shines green under the sun. He walks over to him saying, "Come on Midoriya we have cleaning duty today. Sensei wants us back soon." The limp body does not stir so Todoroki puts his hand to Midoriya's shoulder and starts shaking him lightly. But it doesn't seem to wake him at all. He shakes him one last time slightly harder but it's no use, Midoriya is out cold. Todoroki sits down next to him and waits. A few minutes pass, Todoroki can't help but think of the romantic tropes of confessing or kissing while the person is asleep in an empty classroom. He always found it weird to take advantage of someone in that moment but somehow he couldn't help think about it.
Eventually he gave in to his urges and leans toward Midoriya and lightly kisses him on the cheek and whispers into his ear, "I like you." He leans back into his seat while blushing profusely. He looks back to Midoriya and looks to the ear he had just whispered into. It's beet red. Suddenly Todoroki realizes that everything he had feared was happening. He never wanted to confess his feelings to him. He was ashamed of himself. He didn't feel worthy of Midoriya. He was supposed to be his supportive friend on the sidelines.
A few seconds pass but its obvious the Midoriya is awake and very aware of what happened to him. Todoroki collects himself before saying, "You can get up Midoriya. I know you're awake."
"Huh!" Midoriya shouts as his head shoots up. Todoroki can see now that his whole face is red like his own. "I'm sorry," is all that seems to come out of Todoroki as he makes eye contact with Midoriya.
"No no no no no," Midoriya says in a panic. "I should have gotten up when I was awake but I didn't realize that you were here with me till you ki-" Midoriya suddenly cuts himself off somehow becoming even more red.
"I'm sorry if you feel violated. I understand if you don't want to be friends anymore," Todoroki says while getting up from his seat. "No, wait!" Midoriya shouts while grabbing Todoroki's wrist. Todoroki is surprised but he doesn't resist. Midoriya must be upset with him.
"I-I didn't mind the kiss," Midoriya says surprisingly quiet, almost to the point that Todoroki couldn't hear him, but those words suddenly gave him hope. "Really?" he asks, finally looking up to Midoriya.
Midoriya was still bright red but his eyes did not waver away from his. "I wouldn't mind if you kissed me again." Midoriya says. Todoroki can't believe his ears but he can't help but grab Midoriya's shoulders and pull him closer. He's dreamed of this moment many times but he always cool and collected in them, not the hot mess he was now. It didn't matter though because he believed he would never get the chance again. He leans his head down towards Midoriya's. Both their eyes closed as their lips meet. It's gentle and sweet. As Todoroki pulls away he looks into Midoriya's eyes. They're wide and they look back to Todoroki, reflecting the same desire within him. Todoroki leans in again this time giving Midoriya a heated kiss. He can feel Midoriya's body lean into his and his arm wraps around his back. They pull away from each other gasping for air.
"That was- wow," Midoriya mutters. Todoroki is shocked, he never expected this to be happening in a million years, but here he was embracing Midoriya in an empty classroom.
"I can't b-" Todoroki starts to say before he hears a voice in the hallway shout, "Midoriya!" They both jump away from each other as they hear their sensei approach the door. It flies open and standing in the doorway is a furious Aizawa. His eyes lock on to Midoriya whose hands are already up in defeat. "You thought I'd just let you slack off." Todoroki sees the rage burning in his eyes as he drags Midoriya off to clean. He feels bad for being responsible for getting Midoriya in trouble but this was probably the best day of his life. He couldn't wait to see Midoriya again so he could properly confess his feelings.
