This Video was made by Heroes Fan Productions. Rights go to him and of Star Wars, to Lucasfilm and Disney. I am in many ways, a third hand creator/writer.

So firstly, Princess Leia will likely not be able to see this video. As it is a fictional piece for us from another world. And well… Princess Leia isn't real. From a certain point of view. From this point of view, her reaction has no premise but the will of the author – whether or whether not it forms a part of the canonical reality, which this clearly does not. But from another point of view, she does exist, but we still cannot gauge her reaction just as we cannot predict a real person's behaviour.

So of course, more than Leia's reaction, this is my reaction, but I believe I could predispose it to my understanding of Leia's psychology – based on what I have seen or read. Also perhaps from real people who are like Leia?

Some say, Leia will never forgive Anakin Skywalker. I suppose that may be true. I think she will. Perhaps in canon, she already has, depending on which time period we are at… What I am sure of, however, is that she will be moved by this video.

"

Leia Organa was searching some of her brother's items, in his room. She saw a certain holodisk made; on it was written: Anakin Skywalker: The Chosen One. She knew Luke may have been able to seek through the force certain memories of his father. Her father.

She is rather numb at this point. She is no longer filled with hatred towards Darth Vader – she had come to understand what may have driven him to evil. That it may not have been greed or ambition, but love or loyalty. She had discovered this, when she felt inclinations to even kills innocents to save her friend Ransolm Caterfo when he was framed for a crime her sorely did not commit. But she has not quite made peace with her father yet. She doesn't expect to, either way.

However, she cannot not see this video either. She needs to know. So, she plays it.

She sees an endearing and innocent child. And a wise man saying, "There's something about this boy". Well, all children are cute. And this boy is going to become the literal embodiment of evil.

She then sees Darth Vader on his Star Destroyer looking out at the stars.

"There're so many. Do they all have a system of planets?"

Again the parable of innocence and such a contrast to coldness and raw power. When she sees Vader a second time, with his menacing breathing, he looks sad, as if he longs for something. Something he was and could have been. Well, now he is a monster.

"I want to be the first one to see them!"

Well, as the Emperor's enforcer, he did see many systems; and terrorised them.

"I don't want things to change" and the boy's interaction with his mother. They were slaves. He says he will come back and free her.

Now, Leia sees a young man Anakin. "I wasn't strong enough to save you, Mom", "I won't fail again." Well he does fail. In almost every possible way.

That Jedi Master as he dies, tells a younger Jedi to train him, that he is the Chosen One. But he cannot be; he may have killed the Emperor, but he brought more terror than can ever be balanced.

The younger Jedi promises to train him. He is Obi Wan Kenobi.

"Skywalker, a powerful Jedi you are, yet unpredictable and dangerous, you can be."

He now seems to a swashbuckler warrior. Leia seems him force choke a person, but now he seems to do it in a different way… A way more strong and respect worthy; an aggressive leader.

Anakin fights droids. But with a smile on his face. Darth Vader never smiles.

"He's amazing." People revere him. "He was my master", says a Togruta girl.

"He was powerful. Rarely lost a battle. But what would surprise people was how kind he was…" "I am not abandoning her." Leia cannot reconcile Anakin and Vader. They are two different people. She sees him in comradery with his friends and saving them, with skills and might.

"You are strong and wise Anakin, and I am very proud of you." Well, he doesn't stay that way. He becomes a monster.

"I'm sorry, Master, but I'm not coming back." That young girl leaves and Leia sees sadness and mourning in Anakin. Leia sees his big blue eyes and natural, non-maimed body, watching on.

"She made the decision, Anakin." "Well, what choice did we give her? The moment there were any suspicions about her loyalty, the Council turned their back on her." He seems deeply caring and possessive. She would him as a friend, and protector. He reminds her of Han, thinks Leia. In some ways.

Anakin now complains about the Council. That they lied to him. But he does not seem whinny or childish on this. Is this a good reason to destroy the corrupting, flawed civilisation and replace it with evil and tyranny?

"They don't trust you, Anakin." Ah, it's Palpatine! Leia fees disgust and scorn. "I don't trust him", says a very orthodox Jedi leader. Is he too harsh and inflexible?

"A life greater than that of an ordinary Jedi…" says Palpatine. Anakin kisses a woman – Padme, her mother. He marries her.

Anakin wakes up after a dream of her in painful childbirth. "I won't let this one become real". Anakin now holds his mother. Did he have a dream of her, too, and he failed. "I won't fail again." Well he does fail again, thinks Leia once more, but more out of sadness and pity than anger.

"You're not all powerful, Anakin." "Well, I should be!" Palpatine's manipulations play again. "I will be the most powerful Jedi ever…" There is a powerful scene of Anakin in the middle of his padawan and Obi Wan being held. What was this? He seems superhumanly trying to free them.

"I will even learn to stop people from dying!" Anakin kills his mother's kidnappers out of hate and vengeance. Leia feels sympathetic to this.

Palpatine seems to be deformed, using force lighting and begging for help. Anakin seems conflicted – on the verge.

"I have the power to save the one you love." So, Anakin changed, transformed out of a desire to save their mother.

That Jedi Master is about the kill the snake Palpatine… But this was a coup d'état. A disposal of a lawful, democratically elected leader, even if that democracy was a farce.

"I need him." Is his need of this swine necessary to save their mother?

He cuts off the Jedi's hand, in a scene of brilliant violence and Palpatine, in his true form, in a somewhat comical way, throws him out of the window.

"What have I done?"

"You are fulfilling you destiny… Anakin."

Anakin is somewhere else. He is in distress, holding his hands to his head, and then roars back as an image of Darth Vader's mask appears. Did he once see a vision of the future? He seems horrified at what he will become. Or is this a metaphor for the destruction of Anakin Skywalker, who is antithetical to Darth Vader.

"A powerful Sith, you will become."

"… You shall be known as, Darth Vader."

Anakin, looking cold and emotionless with a hood covering his face, activates a lightsabre at young children, while Vader's image morphs. So, now is when he is nothing more than evil.

The Jedi Order is being destroyed by the clones – who are now the dreaded Stormtroopers. The Dark Times have begun.

"The Jedi turned against me… Don't you turn against me." He seems wild and animalistic. He force chokes his love, their mother and she collapses. He and his master engage in a duel of epic proportions.

Obi Wan – cuts off his legs … he rolls down the cliff next to lava. "You were the chosen one' cries out Obi Wan. "I hate you!" He isn't human… But he is filled with pain.

Leia watches him as he burns and struggles on the ground.

The Helmet is put on him. He is now in his suit. Vader.

"Where is Padme? Is she safe? Is she all right?" with images of him in happiness of his love. Leia and Luke's mother dies. She cannot live with him gone so far astray.

Her mother, in radiant peaceful but sad beauty is lead in a procession… with a necklace in her hand… which the boy Anakin gave to her.

"It seems in your anger, you killed her."

"I… I couldn't have. She was alive! I felt it." Leia now truly sees Darth Vader kill and destroy her friends, allies and all those she cares for. Alderanian and Alliance. The monster roars in despair.

He ignites a lightsabre to the girl he once lamented and defended.

"The boy you trained, gone he is."

Yes; he isn't a boy. He is a monster. Nothing but apathy and evil.

"There is a great disturbance in the force."

"I have felt it."

Leia's heart melts as she sees her brother Luke… the parable of pure goodness, discover himself and destroys the monstrous death star: their first hope.

"The Emperor has been expecting you."

"I know, father."

Luke is divine, thinks Leia. That he accepts a man who has been seeking to destroy and turn him, as his father.

"I have accepted the truth that you were once Anakin Skywalker, my father."

"That name no longer has any meaning for me!"

"It is the name of your true self, you've only forgotten… you can't do this… I feel the conflict within you, let go of your hate" and Leia watches memories of Luke's father.

"It is too late for me, son", Vader says regretfully. But he seems to care for Luke.

"Then my father is truly dead."

Luke duels Vader in front of the Emperor and wins! But he doesn't seem innocent or heroic anymore.

But then Luke watches his mechanical hand, just like his father's and throws his lightsabre away.

"Now, young Skywalker. You will die." Says the Emperor. Luke is barraged with force lighting. "Father, please…"

Vader looks on… And Leia can see emotion despite his mask… perhaps for the first time?

He recollects his past… When Palpatine similarly lightnings that Jedi. His mother. His child – Luke? "Stop. Come back. I love you!"

Vader decides. And grabs the Emperor. And hurls him down the shaft.

"Now, go my son… leave me" says a disfigured and damaged voice… not the deep and resonate one.

Vader… or whatever had replaced that horror… Maybe Vader can never be reborn… is telling his son to leave him. He wants to die at peace, in the knowledge that his son is alive. Well, good. It would have been awkward if lived.

But Luke does not share this notion. "No, I'll not leave you here. I've got to save you."

"You already have, Luke." Says the bald, pale and scarred face, who actually smiles – a pure emotion. "You were right about me." About him not being so evil at the end? Well, maybe, Leia now thinks.

"Tell your sister. You were right…" Well now, I know, Leia thinks.

A young Anakin Skywalker is shown. Vader has been shattered and shelled out.

The armour of Vader is burned out as Luke watches – his face making the Promise of the Future.

There is an abrupt change. Young Anakin walks down an empty place… And sees the Jedi Master. The one who asked that he be trained.

"Do you believe you are the Chosen One?" "How can I know?" "I can tell you what I believe. I believe you will bring balance to the Force. That you will face your demons and save the universe.

Leia knows that killing Palpatine does not bring 'balance to the Force", she thinks solemnly and stoically.

The official Vader in precise and formal strides walks back the ramp of the Star Destroyer. And that's the end of the tribute.

Leia is touched and moved by this video.

Here was an innocent man… who was her blood… who become something else. But he was always in agony. Luke, her brother did save him at the end.

Princess Leia remembers Vader holding her back as Grand Moff Tarkin destroyed her planet, her friends – her true father and mother and in many ways… her essence.

If it was Vader, and not Tarkin who did that, she would never know anything but hate towards the black covered man. Even though he did nothing to stop the destroyer.

Leia is still confused. She has seen an Anakin at the beginning of the video as a boy of innocence and a man of goodness. But he is destroyed. By the black covered man… and by Emperor Palpatine. It was good and fitting that it was he who killed him.

He is her father. And blood was something she could not escape. Especially as her blood was also Luke Skywalker.

So Leia is unsure. But she feels she knows much more about Anakin Skywalker. Did she wish to know even more? Perhaps.

She feels no hate or rage against this man… she cannot embrace the darkness either… but she… she now knows… that she has forgiven Anakin Skywalker.

And she is content… if she can never be proud or elated… to be his daughter. Anakin and unfortunately, Darth Vader are her father. And that was all right.

She can use that legacy for good, and for the future. The force flows strong in that blood… she is glad to have seen her mother, too. Sadly, Padme Amidala died. But she will always live in Leia.

Leia is finished. And she leaves her brother's room, her mind on the next.
