Prologue

The Infinity Stones weren't beautiful. That word implied a degree of finery and craftsmanship that they simply didn't have; they were uncut, asymmetrical gems. The word Thanos would use would be "awe-inspiring". To look into anyone of these stones was like looking into the eye of creation itself. To wield these primordial forces that predated existence itself, it was truly humbling.

Thanos knew what he was capable of now. He had absolute power over the entire universe; anything he willed, would be. Most beings when confronted with power like this would quickly lose themselves to the intoxicating power they offered. The Titan had to admit, he would be lying if he said he wasn't tempted by the power. Anyone would be, but he had the self restraint to not use it. Thanos new he had to count himself fortunate that he was able to keep himself grounded, even when given absolute power over the universe.

He was tempted to destroy the Stones, but something told him that was not the proper course of action. The Stones could never be fully destroyed, they would continue to exist even on the atomic level, which meant they could always be somehow restored.

He could have always scattered to the most distant corners of the universe, and bury them so deep no one could ever hope to find them, but Thanos knew it was not that simple. Even if it took a million years, someone (either driven by greed or simple will), would find them. No, Thanos had to keep them close, where he could protect them.

Taking a breath, he tore his gaze away from the Stones, as he stared out over the expanse of the planet, of his personal paradise. The thought that he had done it, that it was all over after so long, after having given up so much, it was impossible for a being of even his experience and knowledge. The future of the universe was secure, and the half that remained could sleep easy in knowledge that they would no longer have to know the fate that his own people had succumbed to. Thanos had won, it was finished.

So why did the Mad Titan feel so unfilled?

Thanos smile faded into a frown, as he stared into the mountains, rolling hills, and rivers of the Garden. None of this felt the way it should've; he didn't feel like he had truly accomplished what he had once set out to do. Even though he knew the deed to have been done, irreversibly so as long as long as he lived, it all felt… incomplete, as if there was more work to be done.

Why? Why were these emotions present? What had he missed in his time? Was it his family? He knew all his children save Nebula had been killed, and even then, it was not impossible that she was among those that had been erased. If he could, he would bring Gamora back, but Thanos knew that to be impossible. Her soul was bound to the Soul Stone, and not even the infinite power could undo such a thing. At any rate, Thanos learned long ago not to dwell on losses he could not affect anymore.

A flying creature caught his eye, soaring overhead. He watched as it perched atop a nearby well. Thanos chuckled grimly.

"I wouldn't presume to ask you for wisdom," he asked. He also had to chuckle at the image; the most feared face in the galaxy, talking to an animal. The animal just chirped, before it fluttered away. Realizing he was thirsty, Thanos walked over to the well, and promptly gathered a cup for himself. As Thanos sipped his water, before looking into the cup, and into his reflection. To see the image of another Thanos, it made him think of the endless realities and timelines that existed; of other realities, and the people in the realities.

Right then, Thanos dropped the cup, as he realized what he needed told do. He knew the multiverse to be vast, if not limitless. There were universes that continued to choke on overpopulation, and Thanos was sure his may have been one of only a few (if even that) that had him present to bring salvation to it. No one in those universes could offer salvation, but Thanos could, and he had the means to do exactly that.

Looking at the gauntlet, he narrowed his eyes, and activated the Time Stone, channeling its energy over the gauntlet. The gauntlet, as well as his wounded arm, repaired itself as its time was rewound. Soon, it was in pristine condition again. Thanos had to give credit to the dwarves, their craftsmanship truly was unparalleled.

Using the Reality Stone, Thanos then restored hi armor; technically he didn't need it, not with all six of the Stones at his disposal, but something drove him to have it on again. With that, the Mad Titan held up the gauntlet, as the Space Stone glowed, and a portal then opened in front of him. Taking a breath, Thanos then stepped forward. He had work to do.

Even if it took him an eternity (which it probably would), Thanos would bring balance to the entire multiverse. That was his promise.

Note: This is a passion project right here, something that's been mulling in my head for a long time. Now I'm going to take this as a quick opportunity to something up: Thanos is not just going to jump into a new world, snap his fingers, and leave. The point of this, like any other crossover, is interactions, so that's what Thanos is going to be doing first and foremost. Also, I am bending the rules as to the raw power of the Stones, but that's for the sake telling the story.

One's I currently have are as follows: Fairy Tail, RWBY, Code Geass, One Piece, and Naruto. If anyone has any other settings Thanos needs to bring balance to, feel free to tell me. But expect me to maybe need some more information on the given series.

Be sure to review.
