Saffron City - Kanto
Smoke drifted into the dull, grey sky as the once great Silph Co. toppled over and collided with the ground, resulting in a loud explosion. Saffron City itself was in ruins. Fires burned everywhere. Screams and cries of help were drowned out by the explosions that rocketed through the razed city.
The grey clouds gathered in the sky, broke apart as a figure burst through. It had silver-white feathers over most of its body, except for its blue underbelly. Ten fins ran along its back, which stood upwards as it descended upon the ruined city. It had two, powerful rear legs with three-toed feet, and two wings with large, finger-like feathers, giving the appearance of hands. Its eyes were masked with two dark blue fins, and two similar spikes were at the end of its long tail. A screeching roar escaped through its beak-like maw; sending quakes down to the Earth's core.
Atop the Pokémon's curved head, stood a tall man with white hair that stuck out in all directions. His brilliant lavender eyes were stretched wide and were dancing with insanity. A manic laugh made its way out of his throat, as the great avian he stood upon touched the ground.
"Raze it all to the ground, Lugia! Cleanse this world of trash!"
Lugia let out an ear-splitting screech and spread out it's large wings. With a mighty clap, the Guardian of the Sea conjured up a massive hurricane that tore apart the Earth. Trees were ripped out from their roots and Pokemon were swallowed up by the unnatural storm. Lugia once again let out a loud screech. To most it would seem like Lugia was asserting it's dominance, but in reality that screech was one that spoke of great sadness. A golden tear trailed out of the corner of it's right eye as it watched the carnage it itself had created.
The white haired man, oblivious to Lugia's true feelings, cackled madly.
"Yes! This is it! The only way this world can survive is if all filth is eradicated! Human and Pokemon alike! Come, Lugia! The cleanse has yet to be completed! Hyper Beam!"
The Guardian of the Sea opened wide it's maw and gathered up energy in the form of a pulsating purplish orb just waiting to be unleashed. Rearing it's head back, Lugia prepared to fire the devastating attack. Out of nowhere, the great avian felt something collide against the side of it's face. The pulsating orb of purple energy shot out of Lugia's mouth and collided against a nearby mountain, completely obliterating the top.
The white haired man clicked his teeth in annoyance and glared at the Pokemon that dared to stand in his way.
The Pokémon was a large avian with wide wings, sharp talons and a short, hooked beak. Its glossy plumage was mostly brown with cream-colored underparts and flight feathers. Its head had a decorated crest that was nearly as long as its body. The center feathers of its crest were yellow, while the outer feathers were red. Behind each eye was an angular black marking.
Standing on the large winged avian's back was a tall man with dark brown hair that stuck out in all directions. His eyes were emerald green and narrowed into a tight glare. as he stared into the eyes of the white haired mad man. His cloak fluttered in the wind as he stared into the eyes of the white haired mad man.
"Alastor." The cloak wearing man spoke tightly. His emerald eyes blazed with anger. "End this madness."
Alastor barked out a bout of crazed laughter, doubling over.
"And why should I do that, Blue?" The mad man inquired, with a raised eyebrow and a twisted grin. "As far as I can see, I have the advantage here."
"Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos have all been subdued." Blue Oak stated. "All your men followed your second in command, Giovanni and fled the city. The Elite Four, along with Red and Lukas are on their way here as we speak. It seems to me that you are the one who is at a disadvantage. Surrender now!"
"I have no need of any of them!" Alastor barked. "The Guardian of the Sea is now my personal puppet and with its power I will purge this world of all it's trash!"
Blue's hard expression melted away, a saddened one taking it's place.
"...What happened to you, Alastor? You, Red and I used to be best friend's. The man I one knew would never have commuted an act as atrocious as this."
The white haired mad man's eyes went wild at his former best friend's words.
"That man had his eyes wrenched open to the true reality of this wretched world. Humankind...Pokemon...they are all the scum that must be washed away. Only when this world is cleansed will a better world be born."
Blue shut his eyes tightly, grinding his teeth. These were the ramblings of a mad buffoon. Not the friend he once knew.
"I see words are meaningless. Forgive me, old friend, but you must be stopped." With that said, Blue reached up to grab the pendant hung around his neck. Embedded in the middle of the accessory, was a marble sized colorful stone that seemed to sparkle. "It's time to transcend the line of evolution, Pidgeot!"
Pidgeot cried out in determination. Around one of it's leg was a bracelet with a stone similar to the one on Blue's pendant embedded in it. Both stone's began to shine in unison. Blue's eyes blazed with determination as he shouted two words.
"MEGA EVOLVE!"
Pidgeot's entire body began glowing a purplish white. It's body began to change form as the Bird Pokemon entered a state beyond evolution. With a flap of it's wings, the glow disappeared, displaying the Bird Pokemon in it's full mega evolved glory.
Pidgeot had grown noticeably. Now it had a larger body and longer, broader wings. Its wingtips and tail feathers were tipped with blue, and its cream coloring had turned white. Its eyes glowed red and the pupils around it; white. It had gained an even more elaborate crest on its head, with a streamer-like red plume extending from a mane of yellow feathers. A red feather projected from the front of its crest and a there was a single red highlight on the left side.
"Mega evolution, huh?" Alastor clicked his tongue in annoyance as the majestic Bird Pokemon eyed him down. "Even if you have ascended to a level beyond evolution, you are still no match for a Pokémon such as Lugia!"
Blue's emerald eyes hardened into cold steel. "We'll just have to see, won't we?"
Alastor grinned evilly. "Yes, we will. Lugia, remove them from my sight!"
"Pidgeot, it's time to win!"
"HYPER BEAM!"
"AEROBLAST!"
Lugia screeched at it's current master's command and opened it's maw. A purplish orb of pure destructive energy swirled into existence. Rearing it's head back, the Guardian of the Sea fired the devastating blast of energy. Before it could make contact with it's target though, Pidgeot countered with a powerful and tunneled blast of wind. The collision of the two attacks resulted in a massive explosion that could be seen from miles away.
Two sonic booms followed suit to the explosion and as the smoke cleared, Pidgeot and Lugia were shown to be flying towards each other, their respective trainers perched on their backs with hard glares plastered on their faces.
The sky crackled as the two Pokémon fought and that was a day that would soon become a legend. A legend where the Guardian of Seas clashed with the Majestic Bird of the Sky. Where the Champion of the Kanto Region clashed with the Boss and Creator of Team Rocket.

Pallet Town - Kanto
6 years later
A small child with wild white hair and lavender eyes that shone with brilliance, gazed sadly at the sparkling blue lake spread out in front of him. A sudden breeze wafted through the woods and the boy shivered his hands clenched tightly.
Footsteps entered his range of hearing and the small boy perked up as an elderly man with graying hair and a white lab coat walked up to the lake, coming to a pause right besides the young white haired lad.
With a heavy huff of breath the elderly man plumped down and joined the boy in staring out at the lake. The two simply sat in silence for what felt like eternity to the boy, when the elderly man spoke.
"I didn't see you in class today, Orion." The white haired boy, Orion, tensed at the addressing of his game of hooky. "I was under the impression that you wanted to become a trainer."
"Of course I want to become a trainer!" Orion shot at the elderly man, with conviction backing his words.
"Then why did you not attend today's lesson?" The man asked with a quirked eyebrow. Orion sunk his head to his knees and averted his eyes to the green blades of grass near his feet. The man seemed to understand what the boy was too nervous to say and sighed.
"Did Gary say something to you?" Orion froze at the old man's words before nodding, albeit hesitantly. The elderly man pinched the bridge of his wrinkled nose and released a heavy breath. "I apologize on my grandson's behalf, Orion. I've lost count of how many times I've lectured that boy. He simply refuses to listen."
"It's alright, Professor Oak. I'm used to it." Orion spoke with a tone of sadness.
Samuel Oak gazed at the young boy besides him with pity in his eyes. He had not chosen to be born the son of a madman yet people held him responsible for his father's sins.
Oak understood why the people of Kanto were so hostile towards Orion. Six years had passed since the death of Alastor Plateau, yet the deep wound he inflicted upon the people of Kanto still remained. It was normal human behavior to blame another person for one's loss. Oak just wished that they would blame him instead of an innocent six year old boy. It was he that had turned a blind eye to the monster Alastor had been becoming. Even now, Oak didn't know what had happened that sent his protégée spiraling into madness.
Shaking his head clear of any thoughts regarding Alastor Plateau, the aged professor brought his full attention onto the lonely boy seated besides him. He swiftly glanced at the darkening sky before clearing his throat.
"It's getting late, Orion. You should be getting home." Orion scoffed at the aged man's words, opting to glare at the ground as he responded.
"What's the hurry? It's not going to be night for another hour or two. Besides, it's not like there's anyone waiting for me to reach home safely." Orion whispered the last part underneath his breath, but Oak heard it nonetheless. The aged professor swallowed thickly and to ignore the tears threatening to burst from the young boy's eyes as he rose to his feet.
"Don't stay out too late." Was all Professor Oak said before he began making his way out the woods. Orion simply pulled his legs up to his chest and dug his head in between his knees. The gentle choir of nature soon lulled him into sleep and as he shut his eyelids, he dreamt of a tall woman with flowing white hair smiling down at him with her arms spread out wide.
'Welcome home, Orion!'
