Hey everybird! What's up!?
So yeah I decided to do two stories at once for those of you who don't know and this will be the sequel to My Little Lisa, in which now the human Alex is put into the body of the macaw Alex in the Amazon after human Alex suffers a coma. And also this will be told completely, just like My Little Lisa was, from Alex's point of view!
So there's pretty much nothing else to say other than I hope you do enjoy the short story!
Chapter 1: In Another Body
It has been many months since I had to let Lisa go and return to where she truly belonged, back with her family and friends in the Amazon. It was a tough decision for me to make, but I made it, but these days I regret that decision, ever since Lisa left, my life has been going downward, and things were not looking better.
My business was failing, with me having to lay off most of my employees, I ran into money troubles, with me hardly able to keep up with the bills, much less paying for food and other things I needed. I spent many nights crying and drinking, trying to wipe away my sorrows, but it was impossible as in the morning I would find myself weak, barely able to stand, much less go outside. I often prayed to God for mercy, to take me away from this horrible life and put me somewhere else, but it seemed like my prayers went unanswered as I just had to live with this life.
It was another boring weekday as I ate a very light breakfast before getting into my car to go to work at the nearby mall. I started up the car, drove out and was on my way, sighing, as I drove to work, my phone started to ring as part of me knew I shouldn't answer it while driving, but I wasn't thinking that as I took my eyes off the road to grab my phone.
That was a mistake as my hand holding onto the steering wheel moved and I was turning onto the wrong side of the road. When I looked up…
"Awww!" I yelled as I crashed head up into an incoming car, my head flying straight into the steering wheel and the last thing I remember was the airbag exploding right into my face and knocking me right back against my seat and I passed out, my world going black.
Part of me thought and wished I was dead, that finally my prayers were answered, but they were not as I finally felt the strength to open up my eyes and well… Things were much different than I expected.
As I slowly opened my eyes, things were blurry but I could make out wooden walls around me, with an opening letting in sunlight and out that hole there were bright greens and a clear blue sky.
"Where am I?" I asked myself as I rubbed my eyes with my hand, only… "What!?" I said in shock as I had to blink rapidly a few times to get the blurriness out as I looked at my "hand", instead it was a red feathered wing.
Panicking a little I looked down and well what I expected to be me in a gown laying on a bed in a hospital room, instead it was a red feathered body, with red feathered legs and black talons instead of feet and toes greeting my eyes. Feeling my face with my wings, it was all feathers just like everything else instead of bandages, skin and facial hair.
Not wanting to believe that any of this was true, I looked around and noticed I was in a tree hollow as I saw a little birdbath in the hollow. Going to the birdbath, I looked into my reflection and sure enough, it was me as a macaw, but not just any macaw as I thought back to my fanfiction days…
"I'm my OC!" I said in shock as I heard flapping of wings approach the hollow as I slowly turned around, hoping it wasn't who I expected it to be, but…
"Hey big brother, good morning, nice to see you awake." The female Scarlet macaw that came to the hollow greeted me with a smile as she noticed my expression. "You alright?"
"Lisa?" I asked. "Is that really you…" I couldn't believe my eyes as I just passed out, hoping this was just a dream and not real…
And I'll end it there!
I know a bit short, but just like My Little Lisa, this is more narration heavy than my typical stories are!
