Me and Mabel we're waiting for the weird looking rusted, beaten and broke bus to take us to gravity falls. Who knew it had been 364 days since we'd been back and there be a 104 days of summer in Gravity Falls. Mum and dad couldn't understand why we wanted to go back, but seemed happy we were escaping the concert forest that was Piedmont California. It was already 6 minutes behind schedule and the antisapation was killing me, Mable on the other hand was sat drawing in the sketchbook mum and dad got her. I pulled out my own journal and started at the blank pages, it was a sea of emotionalless cream. Then the familiar sound of clunk and clatter as the the rusty bus pulled up. The door screeched as it slowly opened. The faint smell of alcohol and rotten food crawled out the bus as the old bus driver said, "Everyone heading to gravity falls get on now or die!"

Yeah creepy as hell if you ask me. I nudged Mable and I excitedly jumped onboard. Mable looked up and dragged her bag onto the bus. She found a seat on the opposite side to me and fell asleep. The bus was cold and lifeless since nobody was heading to Gravity Falls. Mable didn't exactly want to come back I think the nightmares were still getting to her. The bus stuttered and then slowly rolled away from Piedmont California.

Several hours later the bus stopped and I yelled at Mable, "Wake up we're here!"

She groaned and said, "Calm down bro... we're just in Gravity Falls."

I rolled my eyes and we wondered off the bus. It was a long warm walk through the blissful forest. The sunlight gleaming and dancing on the forest fall. The sweet tweet of birds and then there it was... in all it's glory the Mystery Shak. Sat on the porch was Sooses grandmother, she was knitting and smiled warmly moments later Soos walked out and said, "Dude's your back how was your year away from here?"

I said, "Can we talk later Soos it was a long trip."

"Oh yeah dudes follow me..."

We followed Soos to our old room and it was the exact same. Even to the mold spots and spiders web plus that sock I accidentally stuck through the wall and now won't come out. I crashed on my bed and it was so nice to just lie on something different. 364 days and my summer could start. I knew that Ford and Stan weren't going to get back till next week wasn't sure what Mable's friends were up to and Wendy man at home I had journals filled with her. Comics I'd written and even writing about us. Yet I couldn't muster up the courage to see her, from the emails Soos told me she was still working here.

I wondered down stairs to find Soos saying goodbye to the last customers before closeing for the day. I said, "Hey Soos is that ladder in the gift shop still there and also is Wendy working tomorrow?"

He said, "Wendy's working in the afternoon so should get here round 12:00 ish well knowing her 1:00 and yeah the ladders still there not sure where it goes though to heavy to fit on it."

"Ok. I'll be sat up there just watching the sunset and enjoying everything."

Days later and I got a text from Pacifica she said, "Hey saw your sister in town didn't know you were back. Meet me here I've got tons to catch you up on."

I text, "Hey sorry sister's not a fan of this place still has nightmares about what happened but yeah seems great. Meet you there in 10 minutes."

"Ok..."

I put my classic blue laseless trainers on, a gift from Mable since she knows I'm to busy to deal with laces. I slide down the slide of the shack and rolled onto the ground. I wondered down to empty, endless and soundless road for about 15 minutes just thinking about everything from last year. All the times Pacifica made fun of my family and the times she was alright. I see Pacifica sat in one of the many parks that Gravity Falls now has. I stroll over to her and say, "Is this spot taken?"

She says, "No..."

"You looking for someone or just come here to sit and watch to feet pass you by?"

"Actually I'm waiting for a friend who recently got back."

"Why me two. Not recently got back they live here."

10 minutes go by and I get a text from Pacifica she says, "You coming I haven't got all day."

I text, "I'm sat next to you have been the whole time."

She looks stunned and said with shook in her voice, "Dipper?"

I said, "That be my name don't wear it out..."

"You changed so much."

"We'll all I did was change my look and dye the ends of my hair to an electric coalbolt colour. Other than that still the same nerd who always gets in trouble and always find a solution out of it. So how have you been whilst I've been gone?"

"Good, my parents hate me because I'm not following there expectation. I joined the DIY club, and the out doors environmentalists club. Since you've been gone I tired doing something different but do look styling whilst doing it and even got a small job working for Soos on Fridays through Sunday mornings. Love seeing you asleep up on the crevasse. It's nice watching you up there..."

"Oh so your the one who restocks the mini fridge."

"Me and Wendy also what happened to her hat?"

"At home. High school offed a different out look for me and Mable. Theses days I don't see much of her she's thrown her self into her sketch pads and art supplies."

"So you changed quite a bit and grew a lot."

"Hey I'm only 5 foot 11 inches. Not that tall?"

"Your 16 of course your tall."

"Yeah sorry it's been awhile but love the late nights we had on call. Hey I bet to get back want to see Wendy's reaction to me since time moves slower in Gravity Falls."

"Hey were only 4 years behind all you out there."

"Yeah is nice to have a long summer vacation. Bye Elise."

Her face furrowed in anger as she said, "Don't call me that."

I chuckled and walked off. I found Wendy sat looking at a magazine. I said, "I'd like to but this."

She peaked over her magazine and said, "That'll be 3,30. We don't take card sorry."

"Oh it's no problem I pulled out my wallet and gave her a 5,00 dollar bill and said, "So I'm going to guess you could careless about this?"

She said, "Yeah."

I said, "Follow me the manager is a good friend of mine."

She got up and said, "I didn't get your name?"

I said, "Trust you'll know who I am when I show this. Do you trust me?"

"Well I just meet you but ok..."

I lead her up to flat ridge mountain and said, "You can open them now."

She opened her eyes to see the beautiful dazzling lights of Gravity Falls. She said, "But only one person knows how to get here and that's... no it can't be."
