Ch.1 Yeah that's a Luthor

Lena Luthor was having a no good, very bad day. Night. Week, honestly.

Her recent work in clear solar cells is taking a bit more of a toll then she first realized. The project itself would be able to have buildings power themselves without any new additions of solar panels because the windows themselves would be the panels.

Clean, green energy for all and still we get to keep the wide open spaces around society.

She just has to finish it.

After 3 days of no sleep, only a few bland salads thrown in, and the fact that she's having to fight with the board members every 5 minutes because she can't magic it into reality...well, she was having a no good, very bad Friday.

The young Luthor lifts her coffee to her lips and gulps down the last few cold drags. Rolling out her neck, she looks around the empty lab. Having sent home the other scientist so they could sleep and see their families. After they left she had changed into her more comfortable work clothes, a grey pair of coveralls over an old tshirt and a nice pair of work boots. A go to outfit if she didn't have to uphold the Luthor "look". Her hair is pinned up high on her head, a few strands falling around her face the rest being held up by an old pair of welding goggles. Makeup wiped off hours ago, contacts removed, and glasses held around her neck by a gold chain, she's almost unrecognizable as the LCorps renowned CEO.

As comfy as she is however, the work still just won't come together and she hasn't been able to read past the last sentence for the past 5 mins. Finally realizing that she won't get more done no matter how badly she wants to, Lena gives up for tonight and packs up her belongings to head home.

Lena moves her purse into her laptop bag, moving the few weapons she carries after years of assassnation attempts into her pockets. Taser in the left pocket, revolver in her right boot, and placing large rings onto her fingers in case it becomes hand to hand, she finally feels comfortable enough to head out. The extremely late hour has the streets more or less clear besides late traffic, everyone seemingly home or away from the business section in favor of the more relaxed bars on the outskirts of the city.

Lena starts to work her way down the street, moving along to the subway station. She could have called her driver but prefers to not bother him too much on the weekends or extremely late at night. Just cause she doesn't have a life outside of work doesn't mean he couldn't.

The walk was doing wonders for her stressed mind, just letting herself get caught up in the street lights and the stars. It was almost peaceful until she got the feeling of being watched.

Turning her head just enough to glance behind without letting her followers know she was looking for them she saw the black van slowly creeping up the road, it was a few buildings behind but she knew how quickly those work vans could overtake a person. She looked straight ahead again, scanning the street. Lena didn't see any other threats, however coming up on a 4 way was always tricky with how easy it was to hide around the corner.

At the last second, Lena jumps to the side into an alley on her left and starts sprinting down the backroad. Arms pumping as hard as she can, legs fully extending, only thought on her mind is the maps of the city she memorized and getting as far away as possible.

The sprinting Luthor can hear the tires screeching behind her as the van pulls up, can hear the two goons cussing when they jump out of it, realizing the alley is too small for them to drive down. Lena keeps sprinting and quickly turns down the next right, bullets ringing out by her head.

"Well, I guess they need me alive…" She thought.

Her lungs begin to burn and the raven haired woman is realizing no sleep and lack of good food does not make a happy body as her arms and legs begin to burn. The Luthor pushing on, she just needs to make it to the open street!

Well, it used to be an open street

The abductors are a bit more competent this time. The vans back and it quickly pulls in to close the side road. She looks back and sees two men catching up and two more quickly jumping out of the vehicle. Reaching into her left pocket and gripping her taser, she cocks her right fist back and sends it into the face of the first goon, making him come up short. She finishes her movement by tazing him in the neck, he falls to the ground when his muscles contract and is unconscious when his head hits the pavement.

The two men behind her pull back slightly as they catch up, realizing that they're gonna have to actually fight her. Lena doesn't stop to congratulate herself, she moves onto the second man who jumped out of the van. Not taken by surprise, like the first one, he dodged her attempt at tazing him and even swung his hand out, just missing her face.

Lena knew she couldn't let up, if she was surrounded that was it, so she continued her onslaught even though her body was weak from the stressful week. She moved to kick the man in the groin but with a quick side step, he had her leg and used it to toss her into the nearest wall. Grip loosening around the taser on impact, the goon was able to easily slap it out of her hand. Fists coming to protect her face, the young Luthor, threw a left jab, following with a quick right hook. The hook caught his chin but seemed to only make him angrier. The man was taller and used his longer reach to stay just outside of her range and rain blows down if she tried to move away from the wall. The other two move to cover him, guns pointed at her, she had lost any chance at pulling her own firearm.

It wasn't long before the raven haired woman was barely standing.

Stubbornly, bruises blossoming along her body, left eye swollen shut and nose bleeding, Lena still stood. Her lip was busted in two places, knuckles busted from the punches she landed, and chest stinging with every breath, Lena realizes that she isn't getting out of this.

Finally, almost welcomed, the man cocks his left fist back and seemingly throws it with all his might. As Lena ducks to dodge it, he follows up with a knee to her head.

As Lena falls to the ground, losing consciousness as she falls, she knows she'll be brought somewhere she doesn't know and probably killed.

"Fucking lex…" Her last coherent thought.

She's out cold before she fully hits the ground.
