It was grasuation day. Of the 27 students of this year, only 12 made it through. Standing from left to right was Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Rock Lee, Tenten, Hinata, Kiba and Shino. In front of them was the four soon to be mentors; Kakashi, Asuma, Might Guy and Kurenai. Iruka stood beside all of them.
"All right kids, it's time for these mentors to choose any three of you. Don't complain as all decisions are final. Now, let's let the assigning begin. Kakashi, you go first." Kakashi stepped up and observed them all.
"Hmm, based on the evidence, My best bet is Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Neji. All three silently nodded as they grouped to Kakashi. They left the room making it less crowded. Asuma stepped up next.
"Hmm. I think I choose Choji, Tenten and Shino." Choji and Tenten grinned while Shino only nodded. They grouped to Asuma and left. Kurenai stepped up.
"I choose, Hinata, Sakura and Ino."
"Aw, I didn't get to be with Naruto-kun." She whispered to herself. She was interrupted when she noticed her teammates were quarrling again with their rivalry. Hinata sighed in response. All the other females left after. All that left was Naruto, Rock Lee and Kiba with Might Guy.
"All right! As you know I'm Might Guy, you're new sensei! I'll teach you how to use the power of youth!" He proudly exclaimed, giving a thumbs up and a twinkling smile.
"Yes Guy-sensei!" Rock Lee accepted whole heartedly with the same gesture. Naruto and Kiba looked at each other nervously.
"Man, I was hoping not to get him. He just might run us into the ground with laps." Naruto whisperes complaining.
"So was I. I'm not sure how Akamaru will take his type of training.
"All right, Team Guy, let's head to the roof. Last one there has to do 50 pushups! With that, both Guy and Lee disappeared out of the room. Not wanting to be last, both Kiba and Naruto rushed to the door, only to get stuck as Akamaru leapt over them winning over them.
Naruto was panting heavily. Not only did he come in last and had to do 50 push-ups, Akamaru took a nap on his back! He was exhausted.
"All right! Now that we're all here, let's properly introduce ourselves as Team Guy! As you know, I'm Might Guy! I like- no. I LOVE CURRY! Especially the super spicy kind with either rice or udon to go with it. I don't like self-defeating thoughts or giving up. My hobbies involve training, side-stepping and hitting focus mitts! My current dream is to beat Kakashi and beat his cool, hip and trendy personality. But more importantly, it's to see you all achive your dreams. Now, tell me who you are!" Guy encouraged. Rock Lee jumped up, posture completely straight.
"Yes Guy-Sensei! My name is Rock Lee! I like training my taijutsu so I can be stronger than yesterday and be just like you! I don't like self-defeating thoughts and giving up! My hobbies are training with Guy-Sensei in taijutsu regiments! My dream is to become a splendid ninja, even if I don't have ninjutsu or genjutsu!" The genin then saw Might Guy crying.
"Oh Lee. That was just beautiful. No matter what, I'll teach you how to achieve your dream!"
"Guy-Sensei!" Lee cried out as they hugged and sobbed away in joy while Naruto and Kiba were a little uncomfortable from the over-affectionate display.
"We have to go through this every day?" Kiba asked worryingly.
"I can already feel by bones breaking from the amount of movement we'll be doing." Naruto sighed in defeat.
"You there! Introduce yourself!" Guy shouted, pointing at Kiba.
"Oh, uh, I'm Kiba Inuzuka. I love doing everything with Akamaru and taking walks. We do everything together. I also love eating meat. I hate cats and anything to do with them. I also dislike anything that's chewy. It needs to be hard or liquid. My hobbies are
walks and such. My dream is to become Hokage." Naruto growled to this.
"Interesting Kiba. You certainly have a high goal for yourself, and you very much care for Akamaru." Akamaru barked in approval as he snuggled up to Kiba who scratched behind his head. And finally, who are you my last pupil?"
"Believe it, my name is Naruto Uzumaki! I like all things ramen! My hobbies are mixing and comparing ramen to get all new sorts of flavors! And my future dream is to also become the greatest Hokage, so that everyone will stop disrespecting me and treat me like someone important!" The orange genin said.
"Ahaha! Looks like we've got some genin looking for great heights! Splendid! Now then, let's head to the training field for you first test. Last one there does 50 sit-ups!" Might Guy and Lee jumped away, quickly followed by Kiba this time.
"Hey! Stop going without me!" Naruto cried out as he ran after them.
Naruto felt like he was tortured. He had to 50 sit-ups. He could really feel the soreness aching through his body.
"Now that we're here, you only have to do one thing... hit me. If you can successfully land a blow on me that isn't blocked, I'll acknowledge your skill. No weapons though. It's all punches, kicks and karate chops. Since Naruto lost both races, he'll go last. Lee, you'll go first. Give me your best shot.
"All right Guy-Sensei! I won't let you down!" They each took their signature stance, Kiba taking Naruto away so they don't get caught up in the fight.
"Start!" Guy commanded and Lee charged, delivering a right back swipe kick followed by a punch, a spinning left back hand, and a right uppercut, all of which were effortlessly blocked. He decided to mix it up by jumping and delivering spin kicks downward to his head, landing on his sensei's arms with no damage to them. He finalized his assault with punch that was caught, though Guy didn't count on Lee swinging his legs behind him, making him lose his balance. With his feet not firmly planted, he dug his left foot into the ground and solidly pushed his knee into Guy's back, passing the test. They sperated from each other smiling.
"Ahaha, splendid! I wouldn't expect any less from my inspiring student! Go sit with Naruto. Kiba, you're up." Lee bowed and went to Naruto as Kiba stepped up and faced Might Guy with Akamaru following him. "Don't hold back. Treat me as if I'm your enemy. I want to see how strong you can push."
"Alright then, Guy-sensei." Kiba put his hands together. "Ninja art of beast mimicry: four legs jutsu." He got down to all fours as his nails became claws and blue chakra surrounded him. With a burst of impressive speed, he began his attack with a left punch that was blocked, but manage to push back Guy.
(Fast and heavy.") Guy noted as Kiba kept up his ferocious assault with a right claw swipe, forcing Guy to duck. Using his missed momentum, Kiba rolled forward in mid-air to stomo on his teacher but Guy rolled underneath him and kicked Kiba away. With a grunt, he landed on his hands and feet only to bound back, his attack prompting Guy to jump over him. Believing he got the better of the kid as he looked back, he failed to notice a tiny dog leap and get all up in his face. Blindsided by this, Guy cried out in surprise as he tried to remove Akamaru without hurting the puppy while Kiba stopped his forward momentum and pushed with all his strength to collide his back against his sensei's followed with a kick to the shoulder blades, passing his test. Once the puppy dropped off his face, he laughed wholeheartedly.
"Well, I should've seen that coming! If I had been more serious, you'd never land a blocked blow on me. But Akamaru knew how to work with you. Alright, You pass!"
"Yeah, great job Akamaru! You're definitely getting a treat after this." Akamaru barked in joy. Guy turned to Naruto.
"Alright Naruto. Your turn! You'd better have a haymaker up your sleeve or you could be dropped out!" Guy goaded the last genin, who had enough time to recover.
"Yeah? Well you ain't seen anything yet! Shadow clone jutsu!" A platoon of Naruto Uzumakis, 16 in total appeared and charged in at once. All of the noticed his footsteps were heard and his feet scuffed the ground.
("Wait, those aren't regular clones. Those are solid. But he sucked at clones.") Kiba thought to himself, astonished.
"Wow! How did learn to make his clones solid?!" Lee asked in giddy excitement.
("So the rumors are true.") Might Guy thought to himself. His smile brightened up even more. "Splendid technique, but that won't do you any good." He said as he jumped up high, confusing the clones. As he came back down, he punched the ground hard enough to create a several dozen meter crater that threw all the broken dirt and rock up into the air, throwing all of the Narutos off guard.
"Whoa! What's happening?! Where did Sensei go?!" The clones asked themselves. As they wondered, a green blur zoomed around them, attacking at high speeds. With every pass, four clones were poofed. They scattered and fled in a panic, but the sensei was just to fast, poofing every clone until there was one. He tried leaping into the bushes but a foot stamped him into the ground.
"Impressive that you were able to use the shadow clone jutsu, but you just weren't strong or quick enough." Naruto then chuckled,
"Are you sure about that?" Guy wondered what he meant when he spotted a slip of paper on his back, and his smile dropped before jumping away just before the paper exploded.
("An explosive tag. That must've been another shadow clone.") From behind him, he could hear something coming in the air, so he spun around to catch two kunai with each hand. ("I'm not falling for that trick again.") From his backside he heard laughing, and looked to see Naruto leaping at him.
"I've got you!"
"Not quite, my genin friend!" Guy countered by pulling his upper torso back and did a mid-air back flip kick that hit the kid, making him disappear. ("Another shadow clone?") It was finally then he noticed he was in a pinch; three Narutos above, below, and in front of him. With all of his momentum used up from his two time defense and being unable to know for sure how to use his kunai on which clone and risk injuring his genin, he smiled. ("Well played, Naruto.") He was then kicked in the chest, back, and the crown of his head.
"Yeah, believe it!" Naruto declares in victory.
"Whoa, is that really Naruto?" Kiba wondered.
"Alright Naruto!" Lee cheered for his comrade. Once Naruto and Guy fell to the ground on their feet, Guy remarked,
"That was splendid! Despite going up against a handsome jonin such as myself, you let your creative youth shine through. Tell me, how did you create more? I was sure I got all 15 of you." Naruto chuckled.
"Easy, once you went on the attack, I jumped into the dust and created more, and hid ourselves while you attacked all of the obvious clones. Believe it."
"Using my own cover up against me. You'll certainly be a tricky ninja." Guy complimented. He then called out to the rest. "Everybody here passes! Let's go and have our eternal youth photographed!"
"Yes Guy-Sensei!" Lee shouted wholeheartedly as he jumped after them. He scratched Akamaru's head as he thought,
("You may have won Naruto, but don't think you'll get far with tricks alone. His Strong Fist Style will either make you as strong as Lee, or it will break you.") Getting up, he grinned and walked in their direction following them.

A/N: So, as you can tell, I'm going for different teams this time. I went with which genin could best suit the teachers. The most serious are with Kakashi, no doubt they passed. The most versatile ones in unorthodox skill go with Asuma considering his past. And considering Sakura's strength, Ino's mind manipulation and Hinata's Byakugan, I figured they'd be a very dangerous team and the most interesting to actually learn genjutsu from Kurenai since almost none of the 12 use genjutsu regularly if at all. And finally, the most eccentric genin go with Guy, as you have read now. It's also interchangeable so if you want to see the entrance exams of any of the other teams and future arcs, just say so. With your suggestions, all, some or only one of the teams can be the leading team just like the canon team 7 in your favorite arcs, if going by chronological order of arcs that is. Don't want to be confusing by jumping all over the timeline. Tell me if you want to see more or go onto the next arc. Believe it!
