Chapter One

Addison's POV

My name is Addison, I am a human girl going to high school, named captain of the cheer leading squad, and with the exception of my unusual ways of bringing people together; whether it is Zombies, werewolves, and cheerleaders it doesn't matter to me. Tonight I woke up to my clock radio going on and off with static, looking over at the clock it is after three AM and it's already been a crazy day. It was Prawn earlier, I helped find and carry a gigantic moonstone to the Werewolf Den in the Forbidden Forrest, been named honorary alpha of the werewolves, and now this. I am officially awake and can't go back to sleep. I'm trying to get comfortable, when I hear a loud crash coming from the Forbidden Forrest. I grab a sweatshirt, my moonstone necklace, and run out towards the gate. After about twenty minutes of running, I hit the forest and smile, even though the moonstone I wear hasn't changed me into a werewolf, I can still feel when he is near me, and by he I mean...Wyatt. It's strange ever since I met him, I've felt this pull to him. Only problem with that is I have a boyfriend, a zombie boyfriend named Zed. I sigh a bit and stop, feeling Wyatt come closer.

"Hey Addie, you checking out the loud crash too?" He asks me with a cute toothy grin.

"Yeah, I am. My radio was acting up too." I answer and start walking with him. I see him stop

"What is it Wyatt, what do you hear or smell?" I ask noticing the change in his stance.

"It...it smells like the moonstone, but at the same time... something different." He answers then starts pulling me with him by the hand.

I let Wyatt pull me by the hand, it's a small thing and yet for some reason I feel my face heat up with a blush. This isn't the first time he's grabbed my hand or hugged me. It honestly just seems like werewolves are overly affectionate. I smile at the thought and after a while I start to shiver from the cold. Wyatt stops again and puts his brown fur vest over me, I mumble a thanks and I see him smile at me. After a few more minutes I gasp in shock. What the fuck is that! I think to myself in shock I feel another strange pull only this time it's towards what looks like a small spaceship.

"Um...Addie, your hair" Wyatt comments and points. "It's glowing blue." He says.

"What do you think this means?" I ask more to myself than to him, but he still answers.

"It means whatever that's in there holds the meaning to your hair color. Considering the fact this smells like the moonstone, it could also be why you look like the great alpha in the crystal. I mean even my moonstone necklace is glowing blue like your hair and necklace." He explains pointing at his necklace. I nod and walk over to the ship, my instincts telling me to touch it, so that's what I do. I reach my hand out and press my hand to the ship, there's a zap of electricity that causes me to flinch. The top of it opens up and it shows two people. The first is a boy that looks like he's around my age and the other is a woman who appears to be my mom's age. Both of them have hair that seems to be glowing blue like mine, pale skin like mine, but their ears are pointed and their eyes are closed.

"Wyatt...they...they...look like me." My eyes tear up in a mixture of fear and excitement. His arms wrap around me.

"It's okay Addie, I'm here." I feel him bury his face in my hair against my neck and purr in a relaxing way. On instinct, I nuzzle against his cheek and sigh contently. He returns the gesture, nuzzling against my neck and I feel my heart skip a beat. I hear a thud and Wyatt instantly growls and crouches ready to attack seeing the boy taking a similar stance towards Wyatt.

"Who...who are you?" I ask him and he looks at me smirking.

"My name, Princess, is Eimall." He answers and looks at Wyatt, he hisses and strolls up to me taking my hand and kneeling in front of me. "We have been looking for you for generations. We left a crystal that told of your birth, that you would be a great leader and will show us how to make a home in this world." He explains as the woman slowly approaches.

"Wait...crystal? Does it show an image of a girl that looks like her dressed in wild clothing?" Wyatt asks an growls at the boy, pulling me towards him and I relax again against him.

"Yes, it was to show an image of a young leader on the rise. One that could bring together those who share our energy." The woman says in a soft voice.

"The Great Alpha...I knew you were her Addie." He smirks and nuzzles against my neck again, I shiver and feel him smirk against my neck. "Addison, if I didn't know any better, I would say you like my affection." I hear him whisper and pull away before I can answer. I feel my cheeks get warm again.

"Alpha? what does that mean?" The woman asks.

"Well, Wyatt here is a werewolf and an Alpha is another word for leader. The wolves have the crystal you talked about, Eimall, and he met me and had me and my classmates join together. I thought since I wasn't a wolf that me being the Great Alpha wasn't possible?" I ask him.

"Well, to be honest, the crystal only showed your picture and what lead to us finding the stone. The crystal never showed you as a wolf, we just assumed that it meant you were a wolf like us. When Willa and I saw what you did in bringing us, the zombies, and the humans together, it showed us that you were indeed worthy of being our Alpha regardless of being a wolf." He explained to me.

"What are zombies? And what are you wolves? You smell like you're part us, part animal." Eimall asks.

"Well, Zombies were humans that were changed in an accident. They were all killed and became flesh eaters, but after about fifty years we figured out a way for zombies to regain their human senses. They can now think, have children, and even behave like normal humans as long as they don't hack their Z-bands." I explain.

"Wolves have been around for about a century and a half. We don't know how we were made, but we do know that without our moonstones, the necklaces that we are wearing, that we will lose our wolf selves. We have the abilities of regular wild wolves, but we are human in most natures." He explains.

"By moonstone, do you mean a large crystal?" The woman asks looking at the necklaces we wear.

"Yes, the moonstone is a large crystal that gives off energy. The smaller pieces can lose their charge if not touched by the large piece that the humans used as an energy source to power the city before the zombies were created. The crystal is what caused the humans to turn zombies." I answered her.

"That proves it Lady Issu, she's the one." Eimall smiles at me and wraps me in his arms I squeak and hear a loud growl from Wyatt. "Seems your puppy doesn't like competition Lady Addie." He says and smirks.

"Put me down please Eimall." I start to panic and he drops me. "Now what exactly does this prove. I mean you said you've been waiting a long time for me to be born and take place as leader and find you a home, but I don't get it, why me?" I ask confused this time it's the woman named Issu that answers.

"You see young one, we were told millennia ago about your birth. Our people come from here originally, but once humans tried to use us for our abilities to heal, use magic, and control nature we left here and went to the stars. We found a planet similar to this one in a different galaxy, leaving behind a beacon for when we would be safe to come home. The beacon is the necklace that you wear young one. While we were leaving, pieces of our crystal ship had broken off along with leaving behind a copy of our future in the form of a viewing crystal. That energy crystal from our ship is what you wolves refer to as your moonstone. I take it that both wild wolves and humans were in this area when it fell, producing your kind. Then by human error as you had spoken about young one, caused the creation of another abnormal human species. May we please have your name young one? I sense that Addie is what is preferred by friends only." She explains and asks.

"My name is Addison, and you are right about that Issu. My friends call me Addie for short." I answer and smile. "So if you were here before, what are we to call you guys?" I ask.

Wyatt's POV

I stand here watching the way the male named Eimall is watching Addie. I know that she is attracted to me and I can feel her pull towards me as I feel for her, the reason for this pull is simple, she's my mate. It was destined long ago that the son of the former Alpha would be the mate to the Great Alpha of legend. It's why I fought so hard to be near her, to prove to my sister and the pack that she is who was destined to come, and the pull I felt towards her in the woods was that of a wolf finding their mate. The complication in the form of Zed might still be around, but the more I'm around her, the more I feel her be pulled towards me. Her actions alone this night proves just that. Her instincts pull her to me, she nuzzled me first showing her affection in a wolf way, and her body reacts. I can smell it on her when I excite her. She smells so good. I think to myself and nuzzle into her neck again, I smile feeling her nuzzle back.

"Addison, we were called the Fae before we left. You are one of us, that necklace acted as a way to show us our way to you. When you put it on earlier today and kept it on, the light showed us the way to you." Issu says to her and smiles. "You will become the Queen of the Fairies once you find your mate. Your mate will be of our blood, whether generated organically or by accident." She finishes her explanation. My ears perk.

"You mean by organically or by accident, that a wolf, zombie, or fairy can be her mate?" I ask and clutch her to me.

"That is correct Wyatt. Her true mate may be wolf, zombie, or fae, but cannot be human." She answers. I hear Addie's heart skip a beat.

"So..how can I tell if someone is my mate?" She asks Issu with a blush.

"Simple, it's the same way for all fae, you will feel a automatic attraction to your mate. It will matter not if you are in a relationship or not, you will not be able to ignore the pull towards him. Your bond will only grow the more time you spend together." She answers Addison and I hear her gasp.

"She finally understands, pup, she is accepting our bond now." I can hear my wolf and smile when I hear one word whispered from Addison's mouth and it's my name.

"Seems you know who your mate is Princess Addison." Issu says and looks between me and Addison.

"You're right Issu, I do know who it is." She looks up at me and blushes. I feel a strange pulse of energy and smile down at her.

"It's okay Addison, I already know." I wrap my arms around her and bury my face in her hair. "I've known since I met you." I add.

"So, you felt that I was your mate and didn't tell me?" She asks me and I can hear the fear in her voice. I pull away slightly and use my right hand to tilt her chin up.

"I can tell you're worried why I didn't tell you and it isn't what you're thinking Addison." I start to explain. "I didn't tell you because you are with Zed. You may be my mate, but I will not force you to chose me. Since you are not wolf, you're not like me, you have a choice on if you accept me or not as your mate. I accept you Addison as my mate, but I want you to chose me too." I finish and rub my nose against hers.

"So you didn't tell me, because you wanted me to chose you for myself." She says back I can hear the confusion in her voice.

"Wolves mate for life Addison, I will always be yours I will be here at your side as whatever you need. If you need me as a friend, lover, or protector, then that is what I will be for you." I switched to using her full name so she knew I was being serious. I can see her eyes switch from doubtful confusion to understanding.

"That is wonderful my Princess. I feel the need to explain something else as well." I hear Issu say, we both look at her, my arms still around Addie. "When you put the stone on it did more than act as a beacon to bring us to you, it also activated the fae blood inside of you. Until you kept the stone on, you have been nothing but human, the only sign you would be something other than that would be your hair color. Now you will feel more of a pull towards your wolf than before. You may have felt a tug towards him in the form of attraction, but the longer you are around or you wear your necklace the more your fae blood awakens so your human instincts will turn to that of one of us." She explains.

"I think, I understand." Addison says and blushes cutely. "Since I've met Wyatt, I've felt an attraction, but since I've had this necklace on I've felt a pull towards him I never felt towards Zed. I mean don't get me wrong I still feel an attraction to him, but it isn't all consuming like it used to be. I mean our first big fight happened because of Wyatt." She finishes and I raise my eyebrow at her.

"What do you mean your first big fight was because of me?" I ask her confused.

"Well, you remember the day in the gym when I had the pack join the cheerleaders?" She asks and I nod. "You see, Zed was there standing by the door while we were talking. He saw us holding hands and how close you were to me. When I noticed zed walking away he was upset because I guess he was worried that I would chose you over him." She explains and I chuckle.

"I have to admit something myself." I pause and smirk at her. "When Willa and I saw you for the first time, I knew you were the Great Alpha because I felt the mate pull towards you. When we were taught by our parents, we found out that the son of the current Alpha would be the mate to the Great Alpha. So when I looked at you the first time and felt the pull, I knew who or rather what you were supposed to be, I was the one who convinced Willa to follow you into the school and everything that followed after. Willa was the Alpha at the time, but I still had a lot of pull since I'm the son of the Alpha before Willa." I finish explaining.

"So you knew I was the Great Alpha because I'm your mate?" She asks and I nod. She blushes and I am actively trying not to grab her and kiss her. "What will happen now that I'm a fairy?" She asks the two fae still not moving out of my arms.

"We are the first to arrive, I will be training you to use your fae abilities while Eimall, will be training you in combat. As Fae kind, it is a requirement for Princesses next in line to be trained in case anything were to happen. We like to be prepared instead of waiting for bad to happen. It's why we left in the first place. Once you are finished training and in our traditions, you will have to be mated before you become Queen." She answers.

"We will be establishing a home base around here. Once it is done I will be escorting you and your mate here. No one is to know of our existence until you are fully trained. I must train you both how to fight as a fae since your mate is that...thing." Eimall says and I see him scrunch up his nose. "You know Princess, as a fae it is possible for you to have more than one mate." He smirks and steps towards Addison I growl.

"Back off!" I guard her and hear her giggle.

"Wyatt...it's ok. I don't think he's right." She says and I feel her put her hand on my chest and I calm down.

"You are correct Princess. Eimall is correct that some fae have multiple mates, however, as future Queen that doesn't happen to you. It is important that our leaders are focused on only one mate and their bloodline cannot be tampered with by another. So for example since your mate is the wolf, any other male will not be allowed to add to the bloodline no matter the race." Issu explains. I smirk at the fairy boy and kiss Addison's cheek showing that she's mine.

"Well, it's getting late, I should get Addie home." I say and nod towards the fairies.

"See you around then, good night." She says in departure and we walk towards her house.
