THE COVE

Hiccup stood in the cove that had become his safe haven ,thinking about all that had happened in his fourteen years of life.

FLASHBACK

they were six when Hiccup and his twin sister Heather had been waken up early. They were supposed to be taken to elder Gothi to be tasted for their magic they were nearing Gothi's hut Hiccup noticed people were looking at him with disapproving faces not that he got much better looks that here always treated him with scorn,and kids his age always picked on him except his sister and his little brother Henrik but to fair he was too little to pick on they were at Gothi's hut she showed everyone except Gobber out and began writing in the sand,Gobber looked at the runes and instruct them on what to do,they were going to locate their source of power, while Heather managed to easily find her source Hiccup struggled to do as that they were told to make a simple barrier to shield themselves while Heather managed to do so with ease and show her magic color to be green, the same as her eyes(magic in its natural color,orange was already rare on berk and to have a different color almost never happened)Hiccup wasen't so lucky and only managed to make some was made Gothi's apprentice in art of magic that day

PRESENT TIME

Hiccup never forgot that day but now as he looked at the sack in front of him,he realized that he didn't have any means to defend himself with,and with that realization he found himself going back hom_no Berk was never home, home was supposed to be a place that was full of love and affection and made you feel safe and berk had provided none them,well not that he wanted it anymore from them,he had found it in the most unexpected place with the vikings mortal enemy a dragon and a Night Fury of all species ,who had accepted him as he was and shared his desire for adventure and with that train of thought he didn't notice a certain jealous blond girl following him

BERKS FORGE

As hiccup walked in the forge hi was greeted by a certain meat head"Well!if it isn't the legendary Dragon master, too busy to show up to work,aye?"It was obvious that hiccup hadn't got any sleep last night , heavy bags rested under his dark green eyes and his posture slouched even more then usual

"Hello to you too,Gobber"he had slept next to his dragon last night hoping it would give him a sense of peace instead Toothless's snoring had made it impossible to sleep.

"So you hare on business or work or to do some work"

"Both actually, i'm going to make myself a sword cause you know i'm..."and moved his arms around "a toothpick""Thanks for summing that up"and with that Hiccup got to work.

As he was working he started forming a plan,he had to find a place to stay and gather supplies for the winter and he couldn't go around saying he was Hiccup(that was a excuse,he never liked that damn name, really who named their child Hiccup? he didn't want the name two people who didn't love him had given him)with that he began thinking about what to call himself from now on.

MANY HOURS LATER THE COVE

After hours of working and thinking Hiccup had made himself a sword and sword was a little longer then his arm while the dagger was (not considering the hilt)eight inches long, he also had taken a shield,a bow and some also had settled on a new name for himself,now instead of being Hiccup horrendous the third he was Ingen Rune Skywalker the first(take that dear parents and your great naming ability!heck they had given his siblings decent names)now standing in the cove a new man,packing the rest of his things he looked at his best friend and said"you ready for our vacation forever bud"the only response he got was a low growl "huh?"and when he looked at the direction his dragon was facing he only saw a old woman with a long staff and a bag in his arm coming towards him and even as a new man(more like teenager)a very familiar fear rose within him

WITH ASTRID

Astrid had planed to confront Hiccup about his sudden skills in dragon training (he had surpassed not only her but his own sister too and Heather had magic for thor's sake! worse she didn't know how hiccup had gotten so good) but unfortunately had not managed to corner him to make sure he couldn't escape her like last time and when she was was finally going to confront him Gothi had stopped her(damn that old sack of bones)and sent her she only had to wait until morning to get answers even if she had to beat them out of hiccup

WITH INGEN AND GOTHI

"What are you doing here"Gothi only smiled and come forward and surprisingly Toothless stopped growling as she come near them and offered him a took the bag and looked at its content and saw some books, he was about to ask what they wear when Gothi gestured for him to open them, inside the first book was teachings about magic and ways of using it, he closed the book and looked at the second book it was about different styles of sword fighting"why give them to me i'm a traitor to all vikings"Ingen said looking at just smiled sadly and gestured for him to pull up his sleeve ,she then took his forearm and pressed something there suddenly a burning senstation appeard in his arm and his teeth clenched in pain

after she let his arm go he looked at at saw a symbol on his arm , the vegvisir symbol"ah, isen't this given to a tribes chief?"but when he looked up Gothi was nowhere to be seen

and with that he got in his dragon's saddle and told toothless to fly

he had a lot to think about
