Chapter One
New Pony/Friendship is Magic Part One
I groaned as I sat up, why the fuck did I drink so much?! I opened my eyes only to close them immediately gritting my teeth and groaning at the intensified headache. I laid still for a few minutes preparing myself to get up.
It was at this time that I realized my couch was a lot dirtier than I remembered. I tried to remember where I had been when I was drinking. I only retrieved bits and pieces from my mind.
I slowly opened my eyes, gritting my teeth and bearing the sunlight. If the sunlight was this bright I must be near a window. I was able to open my eyes enough to see where I was. What I saw made my jaw drop.
...A severely animated sky was above me, it looked slightly familiar. I looked around and saw an animated forest to my left. I turned and saw nothing but plains to my right with mountains a long way from where I was now.
I debated on which way to go, and decided to use the best way to determine something.
"Eenie, meenie, minie, moe, catch a tiger by his toe, if he yells let him go, my mama said not to pick this one," I ended up pointing towards the forest, "Well guess I'm heading towards the mountain."
I started to climb to my feet, only to fall back down. I looked down, frowning at my unworking appendages. The only thing wrong was...i had no arms! They just cut off as if ending like a hoof of some sort, not only that but instead of my normal pale white color they were a golden color.
"What in the hell is this?! I must be trippin," I yelled.
I looked back over my body to see the same thing, I had a gold...coat perhaps. Not only that but my legs were the same as my arms, or what had been my arms.
"Okay. Let's see if I can figure these fuckers out," I muttered as I placed the appendages under myself.
I slowly managed to push myself up, and stand straight. Though my legs wobbled as I stood, unused to this style of standing. Though for some reason, my body seemed to feel natural in this position.
What in the hell is going on, I thought to myself.
I tentatively took a step forward, only for my leg to buckle and for me to go falling forward. I hit the ground with a thud and groaned as my face hit the ground.
I growled in frustration before climbing to my feet once more.
You can do this. You've been through worse before. Though not as weird as this, I thought encouragingly, Though I wonder if this is just part of my hangover.
I struggled to my feet once more, I shakily took a slow step forward. I managed to stay up albeit shaky, I grinned at my small accomplishment.
I gradually took another foot forward and then another, and another, and then another. After a little bit of practice I was able to walk normal, with only a few stumbles once or twice.
Okay. I got that down. Now to figure out where I am, I thought as I began walking towards the mountains I had spotted earlier.
After walking for a while, I came upon a stream. It was small. I could have easily jumped over it in my human form, but it was clear.
At least now I can see what I look like, I thought, bending my head over the stream..
I could see that I had the face of...perhaps a horse? Though I was shorter in body than a horse, so I may be a pony.
I had that gold color over my face as well, I at least still had my black hair and grey eyes. So there was that, a little normal in all this fucked up mess.
I was thirsty so I bent down and drank from the stream. After satisfying my thirst, I continued towards the mountains from before.
After walking for another hour or two I was starting to get frustrated. Surely I should have found somebody else in this godforsaken land by now?!
Suddenly a small red bird, which looked like a robin, flew by my head.
It chirped at me, it's voice singing a sweet song.
My frown morphed into a small smile, "Well hello little friend. I don't suppose you could help find my way," I said jokingly.
I had always liked birds and listened to their calls and songs. Especially in the mornings when nobody was up.
The bird seemed to nod, as if understanding me, and flew forward a few feet before looking back at me expectantly.
It was in the general direction of the mountains but to the right slightly. I looked from the bird to the mountains.
"I suppose I can follow you. Ain't gonna hurt much if I do," I said aloud as I began following the robin.
After a while of walking, we began walking up a steep hill.
"So I hope that this is a dream. Or I'm just severely fucked up right now," I said to the bird, who chirped happily.
Most people thought I was crazy to talk to animals as if they were people. That may be true, but I always felt as if animals at least could understand my tone of voice when I talked.
We reached the top of the hill, by now the sun was high in the sky. I looked down to see a small town with animals, or I guess ponies, like me.
"Well well. I guess following you was a good idea after all," I said looking to the small bird.
It chirped as if saying 'i told you so' and flew off.
"Thanks for the help," I called as it flew towards the woods.
I looked from where the bird flew back down to the bustling little town. From what I could see, it looked as if they were putting up decorations for a celebration of some sort. I started to walk down the hill.
Hopefully I can find help down here, I thought as I walked.
You would think that after realizing I could talk I wouldn't have freaked out after seeing the ponies talking. Of course I did freak out though, it's the way it goes.
It's okay. You can talk and you're in pony form. So it's obvious that they should too, I thought giving myself a pep talk.
I slowed my breathing back to normal before looking around. The place looked familiar for some reason or another. Most of the houses had straw roofs and the rest was wood.
I saw a chariot being pulled by two white stallions, a purple unicorn and a purple and green dragon climbed out.
Okay so unicorns is a thing here as well, I thought with slight confusion.
"Maybe the ponies in Ponyville have a lot of interesting things to talk about," said the small dragon.
Ponyville huh, I questioned internally, This place is getting more familiar.
"Come on Twilight just try," said the dragon gesturing to a pink pony in front of the two.
Twilight? Twilight...Twilight... Why does that name ring a bell, I questioned.
The unicorn looked familiar as well, purple body, purple eyes, a purple star surrounded by more little white stars.
"Uh...hello," said the unicorn named Twilight shyly.
"[GASP," the pink pony gasped loudly, jumping in the air before zooming past the dragon and unicorn.
"Well that was interesting," said Twilight.
Wait a minute! The unicorn was named Twilight, a purple and green dragon was with her, a pink pony just zipped by us. Is this...MY LITTLE PONY, I questioned as my eyes widened.
My Little Justice
My Little Justice
Ah Ah Ah
(My Little Justice)
I used to wonder what my life was
(My Little Justice)
Then one day I woke up like I got hit by a bus
Lots of Adventures
Tons of bruises
Beautiful mares
Having friends
It's really easy
With all my friends we'll have adventures that's a doozy
You have My Little Justice
Do you know your all my best friends?
Okay calm down, I said as my breathing became slightly labored, Your fine. It's not like you're in a freaking TV SHOW!!!
"Sir? Are you alright," asked a now familiar voice. I was a few inches taller than her, perhaps I was average height for a stallion?
I looked up to see TWILIGHT FREAKING SPARKLE standing in front of me. Spike stood beside her with a slightly relieved look.
He wanted her to interact with other ponies, I thought.
"Uh yes. I'm fine thank you miss…," I asked.
"Twilight Sparkle. Mister…," she trailed off.
My eyes widened slightly, my human name wasn't exactly a My Little Pony name.
Okay. Something that's remotely close to a human name. Colt. Colt's a good first name. Now for a surname, something that I do. Something I envitalize...Justice. Colt Justice...yeah that a good name.
"Justice. Colt Justice, miss Sparkle," I answered with a slight bow of my head.
"Nice to meet you mister Justice but if you'll excuse me. I must be on my way," said Twilight before walking away with Spike close behind.
I debated on following her, if I remembered right. This was the first time that she arrived in Ponyville, which also meant this was one of the first episodes.
I hesitated before walking after her, I looked around as a lot of the town's residents were setting up things.
"Excuse could you possibly tell me why everybody is hanging up streamers and such? Is there a celebration," I asked a slightly taller red stallion with a green apple on his flank, he looked familiar as well.
"Eeyup. The Summer Sun celebration is tomorrow. Ponyville is hostin' the celebration. We're gettin' some newcomer's for the celebration. You one of them mister," asked the stallion.
I nodded, "Yeah. I happen to be one. Sorry about the inconvenience. I forget things at times," I lied.
The red stallion nodded, "I get it. I ferget some things too."
I nodded before walking forward to look for Twilight. Only for her to have disappeared.
GODDAMNIT! Of course I lost probably the smartest pony in this godforsaken show, I screamed mentally, as I raged quietly.
Might as well follow this road. Might lead me to somethin', I thought to myself as I walked along the dirt road.
After a few minutes I came upon a farm. With a bright red barn, a chicken house, and fields of food.
"Sweet Apple Acres," I read aloud, as I read the sign hanging from the gate.
I knew this place, mostly because it housed one of my favorite ponies. Applejack.
I had watched some of the show when it first came out, but quit after my friends teased me for it.
After a while my sisters got into it and I watched a few episodes with them. So I remembered bits and pieces of the show.
I walked past the gate, I looked to my right to see Applejack bucking the apple tree's.
I looked to see most other ponies busy doing their own things, so I walked over to Applejack.
She stood facing away from me as she lifted the baskets and set them down on the carrier on her back.
"Hello. I'm Colt Justice. I was wondering if you happened to see a purple unicorn anywhere," I asked.
Applejack turned, "Pleased ta meetcha Mister Justice. I'm Applejack, and this is Sweet Apple Acres. A purple unicorn ya say," she said with several firm shakes of the hand, er hoof.
I nodded, "Yes. Did she stop by or anything," I asked.
Applejack removed her hat and scratched her head while nodding, "Sure did. She stayed fer brunch."
"Great! Would you kindly point me in the right direction," I asked.
"She headed back out ta the town if'n I remember right," said Applejack.
I looked out to where she pointed and nodded, "Thanks miss Applejack."
"No problem Mister Justice. We here at Sweet Apple Acres like to help out anypony," said Applejack.
I turned and began walking back to the gate as Applejack started carrying the apes somewhere.
As I was on the road back to Ponyville I saw something blue and multicolored zipping around the sky.
I quickened my pace to just short of a trot. I still hadn't figured out how to run in this body. I stumbled as I entered the town but caught myself and continued towards the thing.
I stopped upon seeing Twilight Sparkle covered in mud.
The blue thing which I could now see was a Pegasus.
So there are Pegasus too?
She dragged a storm cloud over Twilight and began jumping on it, causing it to rain on Twilight. Clearing the mud away but also soaking the purple unicorn.
"Oops. Guess I overdid it," said the rainbow maned pony with a giggle, "Um uh...how about this?"
She began flying really fast around Twilight, soaking up the mud and water as she did so.
"My very own patented Rain-Blow Dry," said the pegasus, "No no. Don't thank me. You're quite welcome."
The Pegasus opened her eyes to see Twilight's hair frizzy and poofy.
She tried to keep her composure but ended up bursting out laughing along with Spike. I couldn't help it as I snickered myself. Twilight looked absolutely hilarious!
The pegasus fell onto her stomach overcome with laughter. Spike was leaning on her back, laughing his lungs out.
"Let me guess...your Rainbow Dash," asked Twilight with an annoyed look.
"The one and only," she said shooting up to her feet, er hooves. Spike flew off her and landed on my back.
"Why? You heard of me," she asked expectantly as she flew in the air close to Twilight's face.
"I heard...you're supposed to be keeping the skies clear," said Twilight in an annoyed tone before sighing, "I'm Twilight Sparkle. And the Princess sent me to check on the weather," she said nicely.
"Yeah yeah," said Rainbow with a wave as she laid back on a cloud, "That'll be a snap. I'll do it in a jiffy. Just as soon as I'm done practicing."
"'Xcuse me. But what exactly are you practicing for," I asked stepping up beside Twilight. Spike still sat on my back, he didn't weigh much so it didn't really bother me.
"The Wonderbolts," said Rainbow Dash, turning and pointing at a nearby poster, "They're gonna perform at the celebration tomorrow. And I'm gonna show'em my stuff," she said doing a loop-de-loop.
I glanced over to see Twilight had a mischievous look in her eye, "THE Wonderbolts?"
"Yup," answered Rainbow as she relaxed on a cloud once more.
"The most talented flyers in ALL of Equestria," asked Twilight.
Equestria huh? Makes sense. Seems to fit this world, I thought to myself.
"That's them," Rainbow Dash confirmed.
"Pfft. Please, they'd never accept a pegasus who can't even keep the sky clear for one measly day," said Twilight.
I grinned as I realized what Twilight was doing. Rainbow turned and looked down at Twilight with a frown on her face.
"Hey! I could clear this sky in 10 seconds flat," defended Rainbow.
"Prove it," said Twilight with a challenging look.
Rainbow nodded before taking off, kicking clouds before zipping to other ones.
The speed she was going at as she passed the three caused them to nearly fall over from the wind.
"Loop-de-loop around. And wham. What'd I say? Ten...seconds...flat," said Rainbow confidently.
I nodded, impressed, "Indeed. I counted. That was ten seconds."
"See? What'd I tell ya? I'd never leave Ponyville hanging," said Rainbow as she landed on a bridge wall.
Twilight had a shocked look frozen on her face.
"Haha. You should see the look on your face," said Rainbow as she flew around us three, "Your a laugh Twilight Sparkle. I can't wait to hang out sometime."
Twilight seemed to regain control of her face as she shut her mouth. Rainbow dashed away, heh dashed away.
"Wow. She's amazing," said Spike pointing to where Rainbow flew off to.
Twilight gave him a look, Spike poked Twilight's hair and covered his mouth while giggling.
"Mmmm," Twilight growled as she walked off.
"Wait," called Spike sliding off my back and running after her, "It's kinda pretty once you get used to it."
"So I hope you don't mind if I tag along," I said.
Twilight shook her head, "You're the most normal pony I've met in this town. So no i don't mind."
I shook my head with a smile and walked after the two.
Normal, I snorted with quiet laughter and followed after.
The three of us entered the town hall, Spike pulled out a piece of paper and a quill.
"Decorations...beautiful," said Spike with a dreamy look.
I looked around at the blue, green, gold, and red streamers and flags hanging off the rafters.
I nodded in silent agreement with Spike.
"Yes. The décor is coming along nicely," said Twilight with enthusiasm, "This oughta be quick. I'll be at the library in no time. Beautiful indeed."
"Not the décor. Her," said Spike dreamingly pointing towards a marshmallow coated unicorn with dark purple hair.
"No. No. No. Oh goodness no," said the unicorn as she sorted through different colored ribbons.
"How are my spines? Are they straight," asked Spike.
I rolled my eyes at the question, I saw Twilight do the same thing.
"There fine Spike. But believe me love is not a 'on first sight' kind of a thing," I warned.
Twilight stepped forward, "Good afternoon."
"Just a moment please. I'm in the zone as it were," said the white unicorn.
Least she's polite about it, I thought.
"Ah yes," said the stylist as she wrapped a sparkly red ribbon around a post, "Sparkle always does the trick does it not? Why Rarity you are a talent. Now um, how can I help yo-AH! Oh my stars darling! Whatever happened to your coiffure," asked Rarity.
I followed the unicorn named Rarity's eyes up to Twilight's mane.
"Oh you mean my mane," she asked, "Well it's a long story. I'm just here to check on the decorations and then I'll be out of your hair," said Twilight with a chuckle.
"My hair? What about your hair," asked Rarity getting behind Twilight and pushing her to the door.
"Wait," saud Twilight nervously. "Where are we going?! Colt help!"
Spike somewhere twirled his tail like a helicopter blade and floated above the ground. Literally hearts in his eyes.
He landed on my back as I followed the two.
"Excuse me darling. But I didn't catch your name," said Rarity.
"Colt. Colt Justice, miss Rarity," I said with a bow of the head.
"Such lovely manners but please call me Rarity," said the unicorn as we continued outside Town Hall to...wherever.
"No. No," said Rarity after we arrived at her Carousel Boutique, "Too green. Too yellow. Too poofy. Not poofy enough. Too frilly. Too...shiny," she said critiquing the clothes she dressed Twilight in.
So many dresses, I groaned internally.
Rarity finally found a dress that she deemed worthy, "Now go on my darling.
You were telling me where you're from," she said, tightening the corset on Twilight's midsection.
"I've...been ergh...sent...from [GASP]...Canterlot...to," Twilight squeaked out.
Suddenly Rarity let go and flew backwards as Twilight flew into me and Spike.
"Canterlot," exclaimed Rarity, "Oh I'm so envious. The glamour, the sophistication, I've always dreamed of living there. I can't wait to hear all about it. We're gonna be the best of friends you and I," said Rarity sidling up beside Twilight.
Said Pony had a fearful look on her face.
"...EMERALD?! What was I thinking," said Rarity as she caught the said offebdingnpiece on the dress, she frowned. and shook her head, "Let me get you some rubies."
As soon as Rarity was out of sight Twilight began running towards the entrance, "Quick! Before she decides to dye my coat a new color!"
Spike sighed in blissfulness, "Wasn't she wonderful," he asked dreamily as he laid on my back.
"I guess," I answered with a shrug of the shoulders.
"Focus Cassanova," said Twilight dryly, "What's next on the list?"
Spike cleared his throat, "Huh hmm, oh uh music! It's the last one," he answered reading off the paper.
Suddenly we could hear birds singing a tune in harmony. We each looked at each other in puzzlement.
"That sounds pretty good," I said, as I looked around for the source.
"Indeed. Come on. Let's find out where it's coming from," said Twilight.
The three of us hid in a pair of bushes, sticking only our heads out.
We could see a pale yellow coated pegasus with a light pink mane and tail conducting a group of birds.
Most of them were on time and in tune with one another other than one Bluejay who was slightly off.
"Oh my. Um stop please everyone," said the pegasus politely, the birds quietened down.
She flew up to the branch where the Bluejay was located, "Um excuse me sir. I mean no offense but...your rhythm is just a teeny tiny bit off. Now follow me please," she said flying back to where she had been , "A one, a two. A one-two-three."
"Hello," called out Twilight rather loudly as she walked out of the bush.
"Geeze Twilight. They're not a mile away," I said with a frown as I rubbed my now hurting ear.
"Oh my! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to frighten your birds. I'm just here to check up on the music, and it's sounding beautiful," said Twilight approvingly.
The pegasus fluttered to the ground and looked at the ground while kicking it awkwardly.
Twilight gave her an awkward smile while glancing behind her at Spike and I.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle...and what's your name," asked Twilight, trying to break the silence.
The pegasus remained silent, I walked out of the bush.
"Twilight really didn't mean to scare away your birds. I must agree with her though, the music did sound beautiful. I'm Colt Justice, would you mind telling us your name," I asked walking up beside Twilight.
"I'm...I'm Fluttershy," said the pegasus, so quiet I almost didn't hear her.
"I'm sorry what was that," asked Twilight with an apologetic smile.
"Uh...my name is Fluttershy," she said in an even lower voice.
"Didn't quite catch that," said Twilight.
All Fluttershy managed was a few small squeaks as she folded into herself. By now most of the birds had returned and were perched on the tree.
"Well um it looks like your birds are back, so I guess everything's in order. Keep up the good work," said Twilight encouragingly.
The pegasus only squeaked again.
"O-kay," said Twilight, backing up and turning around, "Well that was easy," she said to Spike who walked out from behind the bushes.
"A BABY DRAGON," cried Fluttershy flying into the air, she zoomed forward and knocked into Twilight and I, sending us flying.
I groaned as I struggled to my hooves, "Oh I've never seen a baby dragon before. He's so cute," said Fluttershy, her shyness forgotten.
"Well well well," said Spike with an arrogant look towards Twilight who still lay on the ground.
"Oh my. He talks. I didn't know dragons could talk. It's so incredibly wonderful I-I just don't even know what to say," said Fluttershy as she hovered in the air with a smile.
"Well in that case we better be going," said Twilight as she lifted Spike up onto her back.
"Wait wait. What's his name," asked Fluttershy, walking behind them.
I really wish we could get to Twilight's library. The sooner we get there the sooner I can get home. Unless this is a dream or I'm just still fucked up from the hangover, I thought.
"I'm Spike," said the dragon.
"Hi Spike. I'm Fluttershy. Wow a talking dragon! And what do dragons talk about," asked Fluttershy.
"Well what do you wanna know," asked Spike.
"Absolutely everything," said Fluttershy enthusiastically.
"Ugh," groaned Twilight in annoyance.
"Wellllll. I started out as a cute little purple and green egg…," began Spike.
"And that's the story of my whole life," said Spike, Twilight's head hung low.
We had entered town. My question was, how'd it take us almost no time getting out towards Fluttershy but took us forever to get back?!
"Well up until today. Do you wanna hear about today," asked Spike.
"Oh yes please," said Fluttershy politely.
"I am so sorry," said Twilight turning around, "How'd we get here so fast? This is where I'll be staying while I'm in Ponyville. And my poor baby dragon needs his sleep."
"Sleep sounds good right now," I said with a yawn.
I'm almost tempted to just say da heck with looking up things, I thought.
I had come up with at least four theories as to why I was here.
One, I was still fucked up from my hangover and all of this was a delusion. Which honestly had at least a possibility of being true.
Two, I was actually dreaming all of this. Which currently was probably the real reason I was here.
Three, I had somehow died and this was the afterlife. Perhaps from alcohol poisoning or just hitting my head. This seemed like it had a small to no chance of being true.
Or four, something or someone brought me here. Now that was the least likely to have happened, and if it was true why me? What could I possibly offer?
I shook my head and returned to the conversation.
"No I don't," Spike argued, Twilight knocked him off. Spike landed on his butt as if he couldn't stand.
"Aw wook at that. He's so sweepy he can't even keep his wittle bawance," said Twilight in a baby voice. Spike folded his arms and glared at his owner or whatever Twilight was to him.
I snickered softly, earning myself a glare from Twilight. Twilight gave Fluttershy a fake smile.
"Poor thing," said Fluttershy, flying by and holding Spike in her arms, "You simply must get into bed." She flew into the library carrying Spike.
Twilight dragged me inside and quickly pushed Fluttershy out, "Yes. Yes. We'll get right on that," said Twilight quickly shutting the door.
"Huh rude much," said Spike with a scowl.
"I'll say," I agreed, "That was really rude Twilight."
"Sorry guys. But I have to convince the Princess that Nightmare Moon is coming and we're running out of time. I just need to be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy ponies trying to make friends all the time! Now, where's the light," asked Twilight looking around.
Suddenly the lights flicked on and the room was filled with ponies.
"SURPRISE, " they yelled.
I jumped nearly a foot in the air, what can i say I can get scared sometimes.
Somebody blew a party horn in front of Twilight's face, said unicorn groaned in frustration.
"Surprise," said a pink pony walking up to us two, "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie and I threw this party just for you! Were you surprised? Were you? Huh huh huh?"
The pony bounced, literally bounced right over our heads.
"Very surprised," said Twilight, "Libraries are supposed to be quiet," she deadpanned.
"That's silly! What kind of welcome parties would this be if it was quiet? I mean duh! Boring," said Pinkie Pie as Twilight and I rolled our eyes in unison.
Twilight began walking over to the refreshments while the pink pony chatted her ear off.
I sighed and looked around for Spike, he stood over by the ponies that we had met today.
I walked over to the group excusing myself as I squeezed past the residents of the town.
"Well howdy there Colt," said Applejack as I walked up.
"Hello Applejack, hello ladies," I said with a bow of my head
They greeted me in their own ways. I walked over to the refreshments table, my stomach rumbled as I looked at all the delicious foods in front of me.
"Sounds like your hungry Colt," said Rainbow Dash with humor in her voice.
I blushed, "Heh. Yeah," I said before turning and snagging a cupcake.
I turned to see Twilight turn around, her face red and sweating slightly.
"Are you alright, sugarcube," asked Applejack, concern laced in her voice.
I raised my brow, what had been said or done to make Twilight like that?
Twilight jumped in the air, her name and tail literally turning to fire. I swore I could hear a kettle screaming in the distance.
Suddenly Twilight dashed off, quickly rushing towards the stairs.
"What's up with her," I asked, taking a bite of the cupcake.
"Aw! She's so happy she's crying," said Pinkie Pie happily.
The girls and I watched her climb up the stairs.
"Hot sauce," read Spike holding a bottle.
"Ooh," said Pinkie Pie pouring it on a cupcake and eating it.
Both the girls and I recoiled in disgust. Honestly who the hell would even try that?! That's one of the worst combinations I've ever seen or heard of.
"What," asked Pinkie Pie at our looks, "It's good."
"..olt. Colt. Hey Colt," called a voice, getting clearly as I woke.
"Huh," I asked, opening my eyes tiredly.
Spike stood over me, I looked down to see I had crashed on a couch.
"It's time to watch the sunrise," said Spike. He had a weird cake shaped party hat on.
"Okay," I mumbled, shaking the sleep out of my eyes. I slid off the couch and followed after the dragon.
After exiting the library I could see Twilight walking shed of us. We began walking towards, if I remember right, the town hall.
Spike and I walked into the room and sat beside Twilight. Pegasi flew up in the air above the crowds.
"I'veneverbeensoexcited. Well, except for that time I saw walking into town and I went [GASP]! But I mean really who can top that," said Pinkie Pie.
I shook my head at Pinkie Pie's excitement, she was my least favorite of the Mane Six. Though I didn't mind her, even though at times she was annoying.
Suddenly we could hear the birds start their singing. With Fluttershy of course conducting them.
"Fillies and Gentlecolts," began the mare on stage.
No, I didn't snort with laughter at that. I'm far too mature to do that.
"As Mayor of Ponyville it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration," said the pony that I now knew as the Mayor.
The crowd began cheering loudly. I grinned, this world's occupants were very enthusiastic. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, back on Earth things were extremely bleak.
I noticed Twilight glance at me with an uncertain look. I frowned, what could be wrong with her.
I shifted my attention back to the Mayor as she began speaking again once the crowd had quietened.
"And now, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise. And celebrate this, the Longest Day of the Year," said the Mayor happily, "And now it is my great honor-."
I saw Twilight look past me, I turned and followed her gaze to the moon.
"To introduce to you."
I saw the dark part of the moon which looked a lot like a unicorn, flicker before disappearing.
"The ruler of our land."
"Did that just happen," I whispered to Twilight who had a very scared look on her face, she nodded.
"The very pony who gives us the sun and the moon, each and every day."
I began to grow worried, I had never watched this episode so I had no clue what to expect.
Why did the dark of the moon flicker and then disappear? Why was Twilight so scared? Why did no other pony seem worried? And will the author ever learn how to bake pie? Oh wait, wrong story, anyway…
"The good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria. Princess Celestia," said the Mayor swinging her hoof.
I saw Rarity standing on a balcony by a rope. A spotlight was shone on the balcony. She pulled the rope to open the curtains only to reveal...nothing?!
"Huh," Rarity gasped along with most of the crowds. The crowd began murmuring to each other.
"This can't be good," muttered Twilight.
"Indeed. What happened to the Princess," I wondered aloud.
"Remain calm everypony," reassured the Mayor, "There must be a reasonable explanation."
"Ooh! Ooh! I love guessing games," said Pinkie happily as she bounced up and down, "Is she hiding?!"
Rarity trotted back out from where she had searched, "She's gone!"
Everyone in the hall gasped loudly, "Ooh she's good," said Pinkie.
I slapped my ha-hoof to my face and shook my head.
Suddenly Pinkie yelled, I looked up to see a purplish colored mist on the balcony where the Princess would have been.
"Oh no," I heard Twilight whisper worriedly.
The mist got bigger before it simmered for a second and a tall unicorn pegasus pony appeared. Dark as night with narrow slits for her pupils.
"Nightmare Moon," whispered Twilight.
"Wait that's the thing you were talking about earlier," I hissed.
Twilight nodded gravely.
Spike fainted and fell off of Twilight's back.
"Oh my beloved subjects," said the one I now knew as Nightmare Moon, "It's been so long. Since I've seen your precious little sun loving faces," she hissed.
"What'd you do with our Princess," demanded a voice.
I turned to see Rainbow being held back by Applejack.
"Whoa there nelly," said Applejack through clenched teeth.
Nightmare Moon chuckled, "Why? Am I not royal enough for you," she asked, amusement in her tone.
"No not really," I answered quietly.
"Ooh ooh more guessing games! Um Pokey Smokes? How bout Queen Meanie? No, Black Snooty Black-," said Pinkie before Applejack stuffed a cupcake in her mouth.
"Thank you Applejack," I muttered as I turned my attention back to the pony.
"Does my crown no longer count, now that I've been imprisoned for a thousand years," she asked angrily as she was face to face with Fluttershy who cowered.
"Did you not recall the legend," she asked, holding Rarity's face up with her mist mane, "Did you not see the signs?"
"Not really, maybe make it more obvious next time," I asked.
"I did," said Twilight boldly, "And I know who you are, you're the Mare in the Moon! Nightmare Moon!"
Way to be bold Twilight, I cheered mentally.
The crowd gasped in shock and fright.
"Well, well, well," began Moon.
Ah yes classic villain dialogue.
"Somepony remembers me."
"No offense but you seem pretty easy to forget. Classic villain goals, take over the land, get rid of the monarch, have things go their way," I said truthfully, I mean I'd never even heard of her so.
"And a stallion who decides on being bold," said Moon with a hint of an impressed sound in her voice.
"Then you must also know why I'm here," said Nightmare Moon, giving her wings a slight flap.
"Your to...to…," Twilight trailed off, evidently forgetting the reason why.
Nightmare Moon began chuckling evilly, "Hmhmhmhmhmhm. Remember this day little ponies, as if it was your last. From this day forth, Night will last forever!"
A bolt of lightning cracked in the hall, then Nightmare Moon's main began twirling like a tornado.
The evil mare began laughing, you guessed it, evilly. As lightning cracked several more times.
Twilight had a worried look on her face.
"Like I said, classic villain goals. If you actually want to be remembered change up your goals," I said boldly.
Twilight gave me a surprised look, as if I wouldn't back her up.
"Besides, what's the worst you can do? Nightmare Moon," I said challengingly.
Author's Note:So there's the first chapter, all chapters will have a title so you'll be able to tell whether or not its an episode or my own chapter. As you can see with this chapter its name is New Pony/Friendshio is Magic Part One, because it starts out as my own made up chapter and merges into an episode. I do hope you enjoyed the start of this fanfic.I haven't got a set up timeline for posting this yet. But since I'm stuck at home during this outbreak, you probably will get one within the next couple of weeks.THAT IS if anybody would be nice enough to explain how to post a second chapter on the mobile fanfiction app, I have an Android phone if that helps any. So if you want to habe more chapters just PM or review and explain to me how to do it. Thanks!Do me a favor and hit that fave, follow, and review please. Thanks to all of y'all! Have a good day!
