The sky had turned a greyish-purple as the thunderstorms rolled over New York City lighting clashed as the ocean churned and boiled with great ferocity, as the ground shook viciously, sparing no building to its unforgiving wrath. Then it stopped abruptly as this kind of apocalyptic weather never happened.
That's when a bright silver light flashed above the Empire State building and every major Greek God gathered on the floating mountain above the city, the Mountain known as Olympus.
And pretty soon the gods were all screaming at each other.
"Poseidon what did you do!" Bellowed an angry King of the gods. "What did I do?! You mean what you did, what was with the massive storm clouds? Did that tree nymph reject you?" Yelled the God of the seas.
"I am not the earth-shaker or the Stormbringer brother! Those are your domains!" It went on like this for a couple more minutes as all the other gods looked at the bickering in either amusement or annoyance until a rather annoyed goddess of the hunt spoke up.
"SILENCE!" Artemis screamed, thoroughly killing any chatter or thought of speaking up against the pissed-off goddess. "We all need to take a breath I say, Poseidon did you cause that earthquake?"
"No, absolutely not I swear it on the Styx"
Thunder boomed in the background and all the gods visibly relaxed in their seats.
"Father did you cause that storm?"
"I also deny that I had anything to do with this freak weather."
"Maybe it was Poseidon's seed" spoke a stoic looking goddess of wisdom.
"How dare you accuse my son." Poseidon was now gripping his trident until his knuckles turned white, ready to impale Athena
"Well who else could it be if not you Uncle"
Suddenly the earth was shaking again, more violent than the last time. And then a massive crack appeared in the streets of New York, swallowing pedestrians and buildings whole, the crack appeared to go for miles outside of the city.
The gods were at this point very concerned, "you don't think." Apollo thought out loud. The Olympians all had very worried faces on now.
"Impossible" "she is asleep" Artemis answered her brother.
"Then who or what is it then?" Ares said
"Look!"
All the gods turned their heads to the sky and all of them wore faces of confusion or horror. A bright purple light streaked across the sky turning it a dark violet color.
"I think it's safe to say that all of this is not the earth mother or any of our doing," Poseidon said staring at the object with a sense of awe
They all watched as the object flew over the horizon and landed somewhere in the coast near long island.
Needless to say not even the fates knew what was gonna come next.
