"Hey, I was just going to call you," Olivia Benson repeated as she walked out of the 16th Precinct and started to hail a cab. She was dressed in a long black gown with thin straps on the shoulders and a slit up the side. She was headed to an NYPD mixer to celebrate recent promotions.

"I am getting in a cab right now." "No, I am ok to leave my car here, I won't need it tonight. You can just drop me off here in the morning. I am planning a night together with no interruptions."

"Amanda and Fin were riding over together, I just told them that I would meet them there."

Olivia smiled. "I wanted a few minutes alone with you before we shocked everyone," she laughed.

"Are you sure you want to do this," Olivia asked? "This is it, we are coming out to the world."

"Of course I am ready! No doubts." She put her hand to her heart. She had never been more sure about anything in her entire life.

"I mean, I guess I am a little nervous. We have kept this to ourselves for almost two years. I think it's gonna be a big change to let other people in." Olivia sighed, "I'm not worried about what others will think, I guess I am just gonna miss having this all to myself," she laughed. I love you and I have loved the last two years of my life…I am very ready to be out in the open and have everyone know about us."

"Are we going to say anything? You mean like, make an announcement?"

"I guess I hadn't really thought about it…if we walk in holding hands I am sure that it will be obvious to everyone there."

"I'm not sure what Fin is going to say, I know that's what you are afraid of."

"Yeah, I am sure that he's going to be pretty pissed when he sees you, but I think that he will be ok after I talk to him."

"Maybe you were right, maybe I should have given him a heads up before just surprising him like this…"

"I know, I just don't want you to be upset about anything and have a bad night. I know that his acceptance of our relationship means a lot to you."

"Honey, he's going to be happy for me, and for us."

"Yes, I am sure. Once he sees how deliriously happy you have made me any anger that he has will go away."

"You know that I have never been happier in my life, having you and Noah; it just makes everything feel so complete."

"Are you waiting for me out fron-, oh, I see you now. Don't you look handsome! I always liked seeing you in a tux."

"Yes, I am sure! I love you, you idiot. Let's do this!"
