Prompt: "I'm not going to get sick, you baby. Just let me hold you."

Hello my friends! So, I am not going to do a collection of one shots like I had thought, I will still post them individually, though. Instead, I have joined a writing forum similar to the Camp Half-blood one called Camp Jupiter (check it out if you want, there is a link in my profile). This is my first submission for it! Round of applause for me and my story that I wrote at 2 am whilst listening to Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran! I suggest that you listen to it as well, since this could technically be called a song fic.

Disclaimer: I do not own PJO or the characters. I also do not own the title. All rights go to Whom they belong.

Annabeth groaned as the light streamed in from the parted curtains. Kids bustled around the Athena cabin preparing for the day, unexpectedly, their head counselor was uncharacteristically sick.

"Should we get Percy?" One of the younger campers asked. Annabeth moaned at the excessive noise. Malcolm nodded at the girl before turning back to his older sister.

"Hey sis." He knelt next to her bunk and placed a skillful hand on her forehead. "We're gonna go to breakfast. I'll get Will afterward, okay." He smiled warmly, his silver eyes crinkling beneath his glasses.

"Tell him I need the good stuff," Annabeth murmured, closing her heavy eyelids. Malcolm smirked and stood, marching the children of Athena to breakfast.

An unknown amount of time later, though it was most likely only a few minutes, a knock resounded from the cabin door.

The knock didn't wake fever-brained Annabeth, and eventually a certain son of Poseidon slowly opened the door. A single beam of light fell across the blonde head of his girlfriend who was huddled under the sheets. Making a concerned sound in the back of his throat, Percy shut the door and crossed the cabin, kneeling next to Annabeth's bunk.

"Hey, Wisegirl." He brushed a lock of her away from her face and her eyelids fluttered open.

"Percy," She slurred, "What are you doing? It's breakfast."

He chuckled, "You have a fever, Wisegirl." In response, Annabeth heaved a cough, shooting up and rocking with convulsions. Percy sat next to her until she had finished, after which, he carefully laid her back against the pillows, then stood and retrieved a glass of water. Percy moved to sit next to her on the bed, but Annabeth's hoarse voice stopped him.

"You're going to get sick, Percy. Just hand me the water and leave." He couldn't help but snort at the ludicrous request.

"Annabeth, my fatal flaw is loyalty. I'm not going to leave you, now drink some water." Propping her up slightly, Percy dribbled the liquid on her lips and into her mouth. After she'd drunk most of the glass, she reclined against her pillows again.

"You can go now. Will's going to bring me some medicine, and I don't want you to get sick."

Smirking, Percy climbed into bed next to her, stretching out on top of the blankets. "I'm not going to get sick, you baby. Just let me hold you, Wisegirl."

Annabeth huffed indignantly and muttered, "Seaweed Brain." but conceded regardless and relaxed against his chest, allowing him to wrap his arms around her sweaty, feverish frame. Percy laid motionless, and admired the curves of her body and the gentleness of her features as she drifted off.
