It was a normal day for the Strawhats. The weather is good, the sky is blue and clear without any cloud in sight, even the sea is calm!
On the newly built Thousand Sunny, a beautiful sound of a violin and laughters can be heard on the ship. The crew is currently on their way to their next destination after sailing away from the mysterious Florian Triangle.
It has been a few days after the Strawhats battle against one of the Sichibukai, Gecko Moria. Despite the many challenging and horrifying experiences, Luffy and the others managed to beat the odds and came out victorious.
Not only they managed to survived a battle with Moria, they also gained a new member, not just any member but he is also a musician who's name is Brook. A living skeleton that they found in Florian Triangle. Nami even found some valuable treasures! Well, technically it was already there by the time they arrived but who cares?!
Well, not her at least.
Thinking about those treasures, Nami's eyes turned to a Beri signs immediately.
A few moments after calming herself, she noticed Luffy who is sitting on the railing while staring at the vast ocean alone. Recalling about a certain vivre card, she walked towards him without further thinking. She knew, they all knew that their captain is actually worried about Ace, eventhough he said to them not too worry too much.
"Luffy," seeing that Luffy noticed her, she continued "Are you sure about this?"
"About Ace's paper? It's fine, don't worry." he assured her. Brook who is sitting not far from them happened to overheard their conversation.
"Luffy-san" he said and the rest immediately gather around them, the soothing sounds of the violin didn't even stop from playing. "I don't mind taking an alternate route. So far there's no need for me to worry about how much Laboon is waiting, 'to live until me meet again'... that's what important!!" Brook said passionately, followed by Franky and Usopp's encouragements.
"Luffy, we don't mind taking a detour." Usopp said.
"Uwohhh~~~!!! Let's go meet that huge whale!!" added Franky as Chopper cheered around Usopp's shoulder. Even Robin, Sanji and Zoro were smiling, showing their agreements.
Luffy, upon seeing his crew's reactions couldn't help showing them the big 'D' smile on his face. Feeling so grateful for having such crew under him, he assured them again that he is indeed fine and they don't need to worry about Ace as the man himself is strong enough, even stronger than them. He surely can get himself out of whatever troubles he's currently facing.
After that, with Luffy as the initiator, the crew decided to recelebrate Brook's joining the crew for the second time under the excuse that Zoro missed the first one.
They continue to party until late at night.
Yep. It is indeed a normal day for the Strawhats.
Several days later.
It was yet another normal day.
Luffy, Usopp and Chopper are fishing, Zoro is sleeping, Franky is building something somewhere, Robin is reading a book while Brook playing a soothing music nearby,and Sanji who is in the kitchen is making foods. It was almost time for them to have a lunch.
Seeing that Nami is busy writing something on a piece of paper with a smile on her face, Luffy who is currently trying to catch some fish without any luck, decided to ask her out of curiosity "Nami, what are you writing?"
"Just a letter for my sister." she answered without lifting her head or stopping her movement. "Nojiko asked me to write her letters to make sure that I'm okay and today, I just feel like writing her some."
"Do you miss her?" Luffy asked again, now he completely abandoned his mission to catch some fish, letting Chopper and Usopp who are still immersed in what they were doing to continue. He took a seat in front of Nami as he stared hard at the piece of paper.
"Of course! She's my sister, I haven't write any letter ever since we left Cocoyashi" Nami said, looking up to meet Luffy's curious eyes. "By now, our bouties will surely reach Cocoyashi and if I don't explain what happened, who knows how they'll react?"
Hearing about 'bouties', Chopper who overheard their conversation whimpered yet again at the thought of his mere '50 Beri', "This is not fair!" he cried out, scaring out the other fishes.
"Shhhhhhh!! You're scaring them, Chopper!!" Usopp complained upon seeing a fish that almost get caught by him, swim away deep into the ocean after eating his bait.
Luffy laughed and said to himself "Maybe I should write out some to nee-chan too"
"Sure" Nami nodded before pausing in her writing to look at the boy weirdly "..Nee-chan? What nee-chan?" she asked, knitting her eyebrows as she thought that Luffy was probably referring to Nojiko.
"My sister!" Luffy said cheerfully "My older sister! Shishishi I haven't seen her since she sailed away to the Grand Line first. Last time in Alabasta, Ace said that he met Nee-chan at the New World not too long ago!! Shishishi he even got beaten half to death by her"
Silence...
Nami stared at him. Eyes wide.
Chopper and Usopp turned their heads and stared at him. Eyes wide.
Brook stopped playing the music while Robin stopped reading. Both stared at Luffy.
Franky is nowhere to be seen but a 'Superrrr whatttt?!!' can be heard somewhere.
Even Zoro is awake, staring at Luffy with Sanji's head poking through the kitchen's door. Eyes wide.
"EHHHHHHHH?!"
"You have an older sister?! And she already reached the New World?!"
"Is she older than Ace?"
"The powerful Ace got beaten?!!"
"How did she look like? Is she beautiful?!"f
"How strong is she?"
"Yohohohoho Luffy-san has an older sister!"
"What's her name?"
Even though he was bombarded with their strange questions, Luffy just laughed and said "Her name is Naru!"
"Monkey D Naru!"
So.. with our current world's situation, I finally managed to bring myself to find some time and write again. I honestly haven't write anything since 2017. Since I got a free time, staying at home and all..I decided to find my passion in writing again. For those who read and still waiting for 'Living a New Life' don't worry I'll definitely update soon T.T
