If you or if you know anyone who is depressed, help them, be their friend and be their shoulder to cry on.
Putzie was sitting on the bleacher of the Rydell High football field, with his arm resting on his knee cap. Just then the four eldest T-Birds walked up to him and Danny sat down facing him. "Hey kid, how ya feeling?" Danny asked.
"Fine." Putzie lied.
He hated lying to his best friends; they were all like brothers instead of best friends or a gang. But he knew they'd be protective of him anyway.
"No you're not Babyface." Kenickie said kneeling down in front of him. "C'mon kiddo, what's really buggin ya?"
"I'm fine fellas, I just wanna be alone." Putzie said standing up.
"Whoa, buddy we're really worried about ya." Doody said standing as Putzie stood away with his back facing the guys.
The guys could've sworn they heard a sniff coming from their youngest best friend, they were extremely worried now.
"Putzie...are you...crying?" Sonny asked as the guys stood up.
"N-no." Putzie lied, with his voice cracking.
Danny went to stand in front of Putzie, what he saw nearly broke his heart; Putzie's face was covered in tears.
"Putzie, you are crying." Danny said putting a comfort hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong brother?"
"Brother" is a nickname that Danny and Putzie gave each other when they first started talking, like Kenickie's nickname for Putzie was "Babyface" and Putzie's nickname for Kenickie was "Kenny".
"I can't," Putzie replied. "I gotta stop, men don't cry, right Kenickie."
Kenickie felt his heart break for his best friend, his pal, his buddy, his baby brother, his adorable Babyface.
"Putzie, we don't care if you cry." Kenickie said as Putzie sat down staring at the ground trying to stop the tears.
"Why don't you tell us what's the problem?" Doody asked gently as Danny sat next to Putzie, putting an arm around him.
"Please, we wanna help ya bro." Sonny begged.
Putzie just let out a sigh.
"It's too hard to talk about it." Putzie told them.
"It's ok, just take your time." Danny told him.
"Yeah, you're way more important than lame old class." Kenickie said as he sat next to him. "Nothing is more important than my Babyface."
Putzie just gave a half-smiled.
"Ok, well it's about my brother...he's in the hospital..." Putzie started.
"Is he ok?" Danny asked.
"We don't know, he's in a coma...apparently someone accidentally shot him." Putzie explained. "One of his solider buddy try waking him up and his best friend Evan tried doing CPR on him, but he's just..." Putzie started crying again as Danny side-hugged him. "My father called the hospital couple of time, but they won't tell him anything."
"How's your mother taking it?" Sonny asked.
"Oh my sweet mother, she's been crying none stop, my dad been so freaking busy about work and trying to get more information on Phil, so I have to be the man of the house and my baby sister, oh my sweet precious baby sister, it's so damn hard to stay strong for her." Putzie cried.
"Hey, hey, hey, look at me Putzie." Kenickie started as he grabbed his chine. "Listen Babyface, hey I know it's tough, but you gotta be brave."
"I don't know if I can Kenicks." Putzie says.
"Yes you can, you're Putzie Jacobs." Kenickie told him. "You just gotta have faith."
Putzie blinked to let the tear fall.
"You gotta be brave...epically for Pammy." Kenickie added.
Putzie lets out a sigh.
"How about Kenickie drive you home and us fellas can tell Mrs. McGee that you had to go home." Danny told him.
"Ok." Putzie quietly says.
"Come on buddy." Kenickie said patting his back.
The guys stood up and walked down the bleachers.
Back at Putzie's house, the boys arrived at the house.
"You gonna be ok?" Kenickie asked.
"Kenickie..." Putzie started.
"Don't worry, I'll stay here." Kenickie said.
All Putzie did was nod his head and the boys got out of Greased Lightning, and went in the house. Kenickie called his parents that he was staying over at Putzie's because he knew he needed him.
