A/N: I'm back! I know it's been awhile, and I am planning on finishing some of my other stories! But I recently finished Kamisama kiss! (Haven't read the whole conclusion yet). So I got a spark for a fun little fic, slight AU obviously. (Takes place after season 2). I really love Tomoe and Mizuki's little feud and really wanted to play around with it!
Yes there will be smut at some point! I hope you enjoy and if you could, leave a review and click the follow for updates!
I do not own Kamisama Kiss or the characters.

It was a spring evening and Tomoe was off to gather something "imperative" for dinner, as he put it. Where he went, Nanami didn't know and even worse, she didn't know when he'd be back.
So, Nanami took his absence as a chance to pick Mizuki's brain about something that'd been bothering her lately. Plus, he was the closest male in the vicinity and hopefully the most capable of helping her.
Nanami found the serpent yokai lazing around the kitchen, testing his sake he'd been experimenting with the passed few days—and not at all cleaning after himself.
Right now that didn't matter. "Lady Nanami~" he perked up when he saw her standing in the doorway. "Did you wanna try out the sake? I think I really outdid myself this time," he hiccuped.
Nanami pursed her lips. "Eh..no, actually.." she paused. "I need your help—"
Mizuki nearly tumbled the large vase of sake as he clung to her waist in adornment. "Of course Lady Nanami!" he mused, nuzzling her chest. "Are you finally going to get rid of that foxy fiend?" he went on, looking up at her with hazy eyes.
"Ah you've been drinking way too much!" Nanami squeaked, prying him off. "And no, I am not getting rid of Tomoe!"
"Then what's the matter?" Mizuki pouted, retreating to the short table in the kitchen. "Did you need my help with some of your godly duties?"
"Not exactly," Nanami slid the door closed, resting her back against it. "It's about Tomoe, I have some questions.."
"And I have answers!" he slurred. Nanami was actually a bit pleased working with a tipsy Mizuki, it took away some of the tension—"Now...what exactly seems to be bothering you?"
Nanami sat on her knees before Mizuki, the sun seeped in and exposed her flustered expression; her evasive eyes peaked his curiosity. "Nanami?"
"I wanna know how to seduce Tomoe." she deadpanned.
Mizuki dropped the bowl of sake, jolting back as if the wind was knocked out of him.
"What makes you think I know how to do that?!" Mizuki hissed. "And why would I wanna help you?"
"Because!" Nanami's face was that of a tomato as she stuttered in defense. "You're the only other person who spends as much time with him as me!"
"So!" Mizuki shouted, nearly tearing up. "I am not equipped to be helping my lady and mistress in such perverse endeavors!" he whimpered, slurping on the shaky bowl of sake. "Especially with that stuck up fox!"
"I really need your help Mizuki!" Nanami pleaded, closing their distance and almost knocking over the vase herself this time, she took his hands in hers and begged again.
"Why on earth would you want to seduce that rabid fox?" Mizuki asked, Nanami let go and placed her hands in her lap.
"My feelings...have grown stronger," Nanami confessed. "And despite his confession, Tomoe still avoids me,"
"And you think using your body will make him come around?" Mizuki frowned. "Nanami, I know Tomoe has had a past with brothels and female yokai, as much of a pervert he is, doesn't mean you should resort yourself to such means.."
"That's not what I meant," Nanami grumbled.
"Maybe if I show him I'm ready, maybe he'll come around," Nanami brushed some hair behind her ear and smiled—"I know Tomoe is afraid of hurting me, but I love him and I've thought about it for a long while, and I want this.."
Mizuki poured himself some more. All this talk was making him sick with jealousy. "Have you mentioned this to Tomoe?"
Nanami shook her head. "No, I'm too embarrassed, I've never done anything like this before," she confessed. "I'm not very confident in that way, I was hoping you could give me some pointers."
"Well.." Mizuki sighed. "I'm only doing this because you asked me, Lady Nanami,"
"Ooh thank you Mizuki~" Nanami sprung up on her feet with excitement. "You won't regret this, I promise,"
"Under one condition," Mizuki switched his words and smirked, Nanami raised her brows. "I'll only help you if you let me come with you on your godly affairs!"
"Is that all?" Nanami blinked. Of course she could command him, but she hated to abuse her power with something so intimate as this.
"And on weekends I get to sleep in your room, alone~" Mizuki chuckled. "You didn't think I was gonna give all my lady and mistress's time to that silly fox?"
Nanami thought for a moment, hopefully she wasn't making a mistake trusting Mizuki like this...
"What do you say.." Mizuki smirked, sipping on sake in between sentences. "Is it a deal?"
"Deal," Nanami nodded, her stomach swarmed with butterflies—was she really going through with this?
"What are you two doing in here?"
Tomoe slid open the door, the sun beaming behind him, making his figure seem far more monstrous than it is.
"I was just telling Mizuki to clean the kitchen before you start cooking!" Nanami stammered. Pretending to scold Mizuki.
"Have you even started your tasks for the day?" Tomoe set the brown bags on the counter and glared at Nanami. "It's nearly dinner time,"
"I've been busy cleaning.." she lied.
"Nonsense, I can clean this kitchen you and that idiot snake can hurry off and do something useful for the shrine,"
With that, Nanami figured it was best to get going with her tasks, she did have quite a few prayer requests to answer...
Nanami sat alone in her room, answering all the prayers she hadn't been able to get to. Which was quite a lot, she huffed, laying on her stomach as she read on—many of these prayers were relationship related too. Which forced her to derail and think of Tomoe.
She hoped Mizuki was going to be useful, Kei just laughed at her and Ami is too sweet to ask and Kurama would just find ways to sabotage.
Really, Mizuki was the only one who ever spoke to her about mature things, such as brothels and how lecherous some of the yokai were; he made it clear to stay away from the Nikusui. A type of Yokai that preyed on young men and women's sexual desires.
A part of her felt bad, Mizuki was always so lenient to her and Tomoe's relationship, despite it all; he always encouraged her to be happy.
A smile adorn the land God's face, she truly appreciated him.
There was soft knock and before she could register it, the door slid to the side.
"I've finally finished doing the laundry and weeding the garden~" Mizuki mused, his yukata all stained in dirt.
"That's good Mizuki, thank you," Nanami says, sitting up. "I was just thinking about you,"
This made Mizuki fluster. "What were you thinking, Lady Nanami?"
"About how much I appreciate your help, it's kinda embarrassing for me, I'm just grateful for your willingness," Nanami says, Mizuki slid the door shut and chuckled.
"Anything to make you happy," he was suddenly an inch away from her face, whispering.
"Tomoe is still cooking, so I think it's a good time to talk about what you should do to make him all yours,"
Nanami didn't quite take a liking to his tone of voice. "Eh, right now?"
"When will be able to talk then?" Mizuki asked, he had a point, once dinner was over Nanami had some studying to do and she knew Tomoe wouldn't give her peace with Mizuki before bed...
"Let's make it quick," Nanami agreed. "What'd you have in mind?"
"Well, I was thinking we could go shopping together after school tomorrow,"
"What does that have to do with anything?"
Mizuki snickered. "No one can resist a girl dressed up seductively, not even Tomoe,"
"What do you by that?" Nanami furrowed her brows. She grabbed a pillow and hugged it as a means to hide her embarrassment.
"Isn't it obvious?" Mizuki circled the girl, a mischievous smile on his face. "Maybe if you showed a little skin, it'd get his attention,"
"You sure about this?" Nanami tapped her bottom lip, imagining herself in something from those adult stores, Kei was always dragging her and Ami into them. The mere thought of parading herself around Tomoe in one of those outfits made her heart leap into her throat.
"Trust me, I know Tomoe," Mizuki assured the girl with a chuckle. "He'll be all over you, I just know it,"
"Isn't there something less...obvious?" Nanami asked. "Tomoe wouldn't take me serious if I dressed up like that in front of him,"
Mizuki pouted. "You're no fun~" he shrugged and sat beside her again. "I suppose you could just be honest and tell him how you feel, maybe he feels the same,"
"Like come onto him?" Nanami asked shyly.
"Exactly!" Mizuki lit up. "But you'll need something to wear and all your clothes look like something a kid would wear—"
"Why're you looking through my clothes to begin with?!"
"Nanami!"
Tomoe thrusts the door to the side, one brow raised as he examined the two. "Dinner's ready," Tomoe sighed. "What is this snake doing?" he eyed the familiar with a wicked smile.
"Nothing!" Nanami giggled. "He was actually helping me out with getting these prayers answered,"
The kitsune paused, it wasn't particularly odd to find Mizuki clung to Nanami like a puppy.
"Well, at least he's good for something..for now," Tomoe ignored Mizuki's offended wail, his back facing the two now—"I've prepared you yakitori with rice and pickled vegetables,"
"Ooh thank you Tomoe," Nanami beamed. "I'm gonna finish up some prayers then I'll be out,"
There was a foreign essence to the room, the same that lingered earlier in the kitchen—Tomoe couldn't put a finger on it, but there was something new, peculiar maybe, about the way Nanami looked at him.
There was a brief beat of silence as he glanced down at his God. "I'll keep the food warm,"
Will Nanami be able to go through with her plan?
I hope you all enjoyed, its not a very eventful chapter, but I do have some ideas. If anyone would like to suggest some ideas, don't hesitate!
