Notes: I am typing this as a one-chapter story, but there are sections, because I will never get up to writing the next chapter, so it will be three sections. I do not own LotR, Aragorn, Legolas, Arwen, Eldarion, or ETC., anyone you don't recognize is mine. It is not a chainlink, though Aragorn and Legolas are still BFFs. I will try to not include to much slash, and it is not an AU. It's the exact same as LotR says it is, except all direct descendants of Elros Peredhel (including Elros) get to sail to Valinor along with the entire fellowship (except Boromir, he sucks and is dead), so Aragorn and Arwen do sail to Valinor. This is so I will not be sad. The other modification I made is that the boat taking Elrond, Galadriel, Celeborn, Frodo, Bilbo, Gandalf, ETC., does not leave for a long while and Frodo is completely healed =)
All further notes will be in bold, Elvish translations in italic, (Orcish in brackets), and enjoy the story.
Oh yeah, and Eldarion's 19 (his sister (Lothwen) is 16), and he has the ring of Barahir in his possession.

Partings
Aragorn slid the evenstar off his neck and handed it to his son.
"Your mother asked me to give you this, to remind you of her." He told the young man quietly.
Eldarion looked at the pendant, before sliding it around his own neck.
"Thank you, Ada." Aragorn's eyes teared up.
"I'm going to miss you so much." Eldarion hugged him.
"I'll try not to die." Aragorn gave him a withering look.
"Do or do not, there is no try."
"Okay then, I will not die."
"You can't promise that."
"Well I am going to try not to, so that saying only works afterwards."
"Sensible enough. Have fun in Imladris."
"Im iest an cin nin, Ada." (I will miss you, father) Eldarion said feelingly.
"I will too, Ion nin, I will too." Aragorn answered, his eyes spilling over.
"Goodbye?" Asked Eldarion.
"Goodbye." Confirmed Aragorn. Eldarion walked slowly towards his horse and pulled himself into the saddle. Aragorn did the same. Eldarion whispered something to his horse, and it began to trot away from Minas Tirith. Aragorn turned and began to ride towards the city. It was silly, really. Eldarion had been under Aragorn's watchful eye as much as possible, which wasn't much. Aragorn was always off on an adventure, but this time it was Eldarion venturing out of Gondor, and, as usual, it was freaking Aragorn out.
Eldarion visit in Imladris went well. He did the usual stuff he did with his uncles. Sparring, wrestling, pranking everybody, swimming racing, hunting, and many other things. It was on the way back that something happened. Most of you would wonder why Eldarion wasn't with any guards, but he shared Aragorn, Legolas, Elladan, and Elrohir's belief that guards were less skilled than the ones they were guarding. He rode through the mountain path on the way back to Gondor, thinking of something completely different, when an odd smell caught his nose. Orcs. Maybe they were urukai. They were something of the sort. They were very close. He slipped into the shadow of a large rock.
'Gilroc.' Eldarion whispered to his horse, 'Go home. I don't want you to get captured too.' He pulled a piece of paper out of his bag and scribbled the following note,
AEA, LGT, AUE,
Likely captured by orcs. Try to find me, saes. Will leave trail as best I can.
-EEA
He signed his name, and slipped it in the small pouch on his belt, and detached the pouch. As a precaution, he put the evenstar and ring of Barahir in the pouch too. He tied it to Gilroc's saddle. 'Go. Stay hidden, Stay safe. Find Adar and Naneth. And Legolas and Lothwen if you can't find them.' Gilroc trotted off, very quietly. Eldarion scurried up a tree. If he wasn't caught, he would have to walk home, but he could run for hours, so it wouldn't be a problem. Getting captured was worse. He saw the orcs now. The leader stopped and sniffed.
"Nalkra do lat zinoz?" (what do you smell) Asked his friend.
"Bur maushat." (Man flesh) The leader replied. Eldarion grimaced. The orcs were now all searching for him. He tightened the straps on his pack and burrowed deeper in the leaves. It was to no avail, an orc began to look up his tree.
"Jiak fon naz-ri!" (I found him) The orc yelled. The leader came over, and they began whispering in inaudible orcish. Suddenly, the leader reached up, grabbed Eldarion's foot, and yanked him out of the tree.
Lothwen was bored. Her brother made everything more interesting. He would be back soon, she knew, but everything was not fun without him. She had walked around her room aimlessly for a while, then went to luncheon, then read a book, but now she was bored. Her father was at a meeting, her mother was trying to teach Eowyn how to sew, eureka! Eowyn, Faramir, and Elboron were visiting from Ithilien! Elboron and Faramir had to be doing something. Something fun. She ran off to find him. She wandered outside, and was nearly trampled by her brother's horse. Gilroc stopped. Lothwen stroked his head. She realized that the horse was distressed. She stuck her hand in the pouch around his saddle horn, and found a note. She pulled out all it's contents. A piece of paper, the ring of Barahir, and the Evenstar. It confused her, so she opened the note.
AEA, LGT, AUE,
Likely captured by orcs. Try to find me, saes. Will leave trail as best I can.

Completely forgetting about Gilroc, she sprinted back inside to find wherever her father and mother were. Her hand fumbled the knob of the meeting room as she flung it open.
"Lothwen! I am in a meeting!" Aragorn was not happy.
"But Ada! Gilroc came back without 'Dari!" Aragorn frowned. Lothwen kept going. "And he left us this note! He's been captured by orcs, and we have to rescue him!" The council Aragorn was meeting with began to whisper worriedly among each other. Aragorn himself stood up and put out his hand. Lothwen emptied hers into his. This was when she realized that she was visibly trembling.
How is it? Introductory first section. The second is where Eldarion escapes, third is where everyone rescues him.
